Location: Outside( that's all you get :p )
A thundering sound of a jet engine was heard but there was no jet, only a red and gold blur that shot down from the sky and swooped in at the very last minute saving the girl and they all lived happily ever after.
Screw that.
The metal figure flew up into the air , Pepper in a princess-carry in his arms ,and looked down at the metallic arm reaching out of the collapsed floor like a zombie from ParaNorman.
"Tony?!" Pepper yelped in shock.
"Don't be so surprised, Pepper." he started in his usual nonchalant manner. " ye of little faith in my resourcefulness." his voice turned playful, distracting her from the sight of Obadiah pulling himself out of the hole he created.
" How are you alive?!" Stane bellowed , his face contorting from shock to annoyance in an instant.
"With the same thing that's powering your suit, no thanks to you" tony yelled back lowering pepper to a safe area.
"Come on Obi, we could end this peacefully. Just take off the suit and let's talk it out" He returned to the sky, just a few meters away from the irate Stane.
"I'll only be at peace when you're all dead." Stane retorted , his suit shifting open to reveal rows of missile launch points with the newest Stark tech homing . The cross eye looked onto the hovering figure in red and gold.
"Die" Stane muttered , launching the missiles at the opposing metal armor.

Location: second underground floor, stair way
A grunt of strain echoed in the doorway, a blonde head peeking over the top stair .
"Why the hell are you all so heavy?" Matthew grumbled. On the floor , a dozen or so bodies laid on the floor, some injured but all very much alive and unconscious .
The room was near the opening of the emergency stairway, spacious enough that the team can recover but not somewhere they'd want to be if the fighting above gets any worse.
Matthew peeked his head into the next room but the entire centre collapsed inward like if a hand dug right through it. Seeing that the way to the other stairwell was compromised , he looked around for another solution.
The red lights blinked as he walked deeper into the floor, rooms with experimental gadgets , scraped weapon ideas and the latest in Stark industry tech were labelled at each door he passed. He could only think that a metal suit would be really helpful about now.
" So unfair…" he lamented , another explosion muffled by the distance emphasizing his point.
After walking a while, he came upon another door and opened hoping it was finally the other stairwell that was supposed to be here according to his memory of the building blueprints. What he found instead was a room that he couldn't quite put into words but the insignia with six tentacles and a skull put a cold sweat on his back.
He stepped inside ,the door closing behind him ominously.
" What is this place?" He looked around, experiments deemed dangerous and what he knew were dropped seemed to have been stored and worked on here. Even the original chamber the captain was housed in was here, but the items looked too clean, almost as if someone had just used them. But they shouldn't be right, they were decommissioned, rusting away to prevent any other attempt at recreating the abilities of a super soldier.
Further in , a lab, one clearly powered by the reactor above if the wires hanging from the ceiling was anything to go by, was lit perfectly, the screens bright with data and images that he felt slightly familiar with lined the walls. At the centre stood a metal chair with a contraption attached to the top of the head piece, leather straps with buckles hanging above the seat.
The chair was concerning, akin to the one from Hannibal , the reason for it being here was not clear and the entire room spoke of espionage and secret lair for a big bad in some movie.
"It keeps getting better" he mutters, noticing a blinking icon .
UPLOAD COMPLETE
" What were you?" he hummed in interest, his mind forgetting his original plan for the moment, focusing completely on the emptied hard drive.
He ducked below to find the external hard drive , the old computer having numerous wires attached to it. As his hand reached down he abruptly froze, blinked slowly and shook his head looking around.
"What was I doing?" he muttered , leaving the room without a second glance.
In the shadows , a gloved hand released the clicker and shoved it into a pocket, quickly shutting down the lab and grabbing the hard drive.

Pov Pepper
I ran , avoiding the jagged opening at the entrance. Tony had just told me to get to the reactor, but for? How is that going to help him when his suit wasn't made to deal with Stane's barrage of artillery.
Getting to the console, I looked up to see both Tony and Obadiah nearing the skylight. The rumbling nearly tossed me aside.
"Now what?" I asked , steading myself.
"You see all the levers?" he asked over the call , the sound of a few more shots hitting against the concrete walls above.
"Yes?"
"Push all of them up."
"What?"
"Ugh- now!"
Anxiety coursed through me as I flipped every lever to the max. The reactor's soft hum accelerated into whirring as the warning alarms blared.
Looking up, the two were now directly above , Tony's suit was pressed into the glass, Stane crushing him under an arm and aiming the blaster at him. Looking back down the warning lights had started a count down , Jarvis warning me through the call to duck down moments before the reactor exploded.
" What'd I miss?" The sound of Matthew's voice prompted me to open my eyes as a relieved breath escaped me.
He was fine, we'll be fine, Tony just flew off so he should be fine… right, fine.
