Chapter 255 - Questions Demanding Honesty

The reaction of Alvin, Allen, and Arken was truly unexpected. While everyone was still trying to digest the fact that Kazien had just used massive-scale teleportation magic that moved them instantly, the three youths seemed to treat the spatial miracle as merely an illusion, and were instead more concerned with Kazien's interaction with Haverd.

The conversation, which sounded casual yet harbored an aura of hostility among Kazien's three fiancés, inevitably made King Nalvon feel bewildered.

"Why are the three of you talking like that?" King Nalvon asked in confusion, unable to hide his curiosity.

"No special reason, Your Majesty." Alvin answered with a calm tone, his brain spinning quickly trying to find a rational reason to provide an alibi so as not to reveal the fact about the Eternity Contract bond. "I know my fiancé's personality to its core. His expression right now does look very calm, but seeing him not hesitate to flirt with someone else in front of the three of us, behind that smile, there is likely an anger he is holding back."

Hearing that explanation, King Nalvon fell silent and had no intention of speaking any further. As a ruler, his instincts told him with utmost certainty that there was something massive and dark being kept secret between Kazien and the second son of the Guartav family.

In another corner of the courtyard, Kazien hugged Haverd very tightly again, ignoring everyone's stares.

"We are going to have some fun first. See you later!" Kazien bid farewell in a cheerful tone.

Right after he said that sentence, a small magic circle appeared right beneath Kazien and Haverd's feet.

Zap!

And instantly, the two of them just vanished from the sight of everyone in the palace courtyard.

Before the silence could last long, Kazien reappeared before them, making several people gasp in shock at his incredibly fast return after saying goodbye. But this time, the silvery-white-haired youth returned alone without Haverd's figure with him.

"Why did you return alone?" King Nalvon asked in surprise, looking around Kazien. "Where is Haverd Guartav?"

"I split myself, Your Majesty." Kazien answered casually yet maintaining his polite tone. "I intentionally split myself using magic so that my body here can immediately process graduation from the academy as quickly as possible and get the graduation certificate I've always wanted."

Setting aside the king's bewilderment, Kazien then looked straight at his family.

"Father, Mother... please do not come to the academy," Kazien requested. "I truly do not want my real identity discovered at the academy. Just let the information about who I really am spread slowly after the four of us have completely left the academy."

Duke Elgard massaged the bridge of his nose. He truly couldn't comprehend his son's train of thought.

"What is your real reason for being so adamant about hiding your identity at the academy?" Duke Elgard asked, uncomprehending.

"No special reason, Father." Kazien answered honestly, his shoulders dropping slightly. "I just wanted my three fiancés to act as if I had a grand plan, making them always stay vigilant of their surroundings."

Kazien suddenly smiled faintly, an innocent smile. "But, because of that disguise incident as well, this kingdom was finally able to be free from those arrogant trashes. Hehehe."

Hearing that blunt, innocent confession, Alvin, Allen, and Arken instantly froze stiffly. For the three of them, the grand plan that Kazien had been hiding all this time, making them dying of curiosity, turned out to be completely non-existent. As a result, Kazien's three fiancés felt annoyed, feeling they had been lied to by their own future husband's abstract thinking.

Ignoring the stares of the people, they stepped forward and approached Kazien. Their facial expressions clearly showed annoyance at their fiancé's ridiculous actions.

"So, all this time, all your plans were just a lie?" Alvin asked, his tone sounding very annoyed, his eyes glaring sharply at Kazien.

"You intentionally made us curious every day just for an empty plan?" Allen asked, also crossing his arms over his chest feeling annoyed.

"Huby, you are truly too much!" Arken exclaimed in annoyance, putting his hands on his hips in front of Kazien. "Do you think the three of us are little kids who can't take care of ourselves?"

Bombarded by fierce protests from his three darlings, Kazien smiled very gently and looked at the three of them with an affectionate gaze.

"Please, don't be angry like that." Kazien said with a sincere coaxing tone. "I am truly sorry for making the three of you feel annoyed. In return, I promise I will make up for my mistake by pampering the three of you later."

Hearing that gentle persuasion, Alvin's defenses crumbled. The golden-yellow-haired High Elf exhaled quite heavily, as if blowing all his peaked feelings of annoyance into the air. So did Allen and Arken; the two of them looked at each other and finally did the same shortly after. Their anger could never last long when faced with Kazien's smile.

"Ahem. Sorry to interrupt your moment."

Dean Claus's throat-clearing suddenly broke the silence and the sweet interaction happening in the middle of the palace courtyard.

"I will return to the academy first now." Dean Claus said, his eyes glancing at the gold-plated crystal trophy currently in his embrace. "Since the atmosphere is favorable, I will directly process the graduation for the five of you as quickly as possible this very day."

After officially saying goodbye to everyone, Dean Claus stepped away leaving the main palace courtyard. He walked upright carrying the victory trophy, accompanied by several elite royal soldiers assigned to escort him. The dean's figure slowly distanced and finally disappeared behind the palace entrance gates which had closed again.

Seeing the outside matters were settled, King Nalvon turned back to the remaining group. The king invited everyone to enter the palace hall to discuss an important matter, while also holding a small banquet to welcome the arrival of the two most influential noble families in the Garveon Kingdom.

Without refusal, the Altavis and Guartav family groups followed the king's steps. Once they arrived inside the vast and majestic palace hall, they immediately sat in their respective seats.

The palace servants swiftly served drinks and light snacks, then retreated orderly. The atmosphere inside the hall felt calm, and they waited for the important matter the king wanted to discuss.

King Nalvon put down his teacup, looking straight at the round table with a serious facial expression.

"Now, explain it to me!" King Nalvon said, opening the conversation, his voice sounding firm, demanding the answer he had been holding back all this time. "What exactly happened to your parents, and also to Duke Hubert?"

The question that came out of the king's mouth successfully made Kazien freeze stiffly in his seat. The atmosphere inside the palace hall, which had been relaxed, fell silent again for a moment. Not a single person spoke, as if waiting for the answer that the silvery-white-haired youth was going to say.

Oh my... Kazien thought in resignation, closing his eyes for a moment. I already guessed this would happen after His Majesty was surprised to see the youthful faces of my parents and also Duke Hubert.

Kazien opened his eyes again, followed by a long sigh. It seems I truly cannot hide it anymore.
