Jay's POV
I took him to the park, the one I usually run to, when parents shout,
Keifer: "So How Often do you come here?"
Jay: "Almost daily"
Keifer: "That's nice, you come and play with you friends?"
I chuckled and said, "No I come here sit in the swing because my parents will be either shouting at each other or at me"
His face changed when I said that,
Keifer: "You must have felt lonely" he said with a lower tone.
I went near him and held his arm and rested my head against his chest,
Jay: "I did, I also felt like a burden to them, I either wanted to run away from them or die"
He instantly hugged me closer and place a
soft forehead kiss on my head.
Keifer: "I am sorry they made you feel that way and also sorry I wasn't there, I just wish I could have met you sooner"
Jay: "Yeah me too, But If I get you after going through all the things I went through, I would gladly go through it again, Just to be loved by you" I said sincerely because I meant it.
His eyes glistened with tears,
Jay: "You know what, I don't need to run to this swing anymore because I have you now, So I don't have to, Now I want to make new and happy memories in this place with you"
He smiled and nodded, and both of us moved to swing,
I took the seat, and signalled him to take the other,
Keifer: "I will join after a while, Now I will push you from the back"
I smile and settled properly on the swing,
Keifer: "Ready?"
Jay: "Yes, Go"
I said and he started pushing and I was swinging and laughing, while continued to push. We were the only ones there because it was late and it was perfect and this memory will be forever etched in my heart.
Jay: "Okay okay, stop Now and join me" I said and he finally joined me and took the swing next to me.
Jay: "We go together on the count on 3, 1..2..3, Go"
We started swinging simultaneously and we were laughing while swinging.
I was feeling so happy, because I used to come to this place because usually when I cry or feel sad , I did not have much happy memories in this place, But now it had changed, here after I am going to remember this time with him, whenever I see the swing.
It healed me in a way I couldn't explain, I felt like my inner child is coming back to me, the one I did not even experience even when I was a child, all because of him. I looked at him and smiled
Jay: "Okay, come on let's go and have ice cream"
Keifer: "But it's late already, you will get cold"
Jay: "No, please" I showed him my puppy eyes, the one he could never reject.
He agreed because he had no choice.
I took his hands and guided him and brought him to a small ice cream shop,
Keifer: "This is looks different from other?"
Jay: "That's because they make their ice creams daily and it is all fruit based and you only have one or 2 options"
Keifer: "Wow that's nice"
Jay: "See you would have missed such a good place because of your stubbornness"
I said and he gave me a look.
I quickly moved from there and went to get our Ice cream. It was strawberry, and I handed it to him and settled beside him. He was looking at me,
Jay: "What?" I asked taking a bite.
Keifer: "Come with me"
Jay: "Ahn?"
Keifer: "Jay, I don't think you should go back to your parents given the way they have treated"
Jay: "Keif, I know you are worried but it's fine I am used to it"
Keifer: "Just because you are used to it, doesn't mean it's wrong"
It kind of hit me hard, what he said, I know he was right but I had to go back to my parents.
Jay: " Keif, If anything happens, I will call you or else come straight to you, is that okay ?"
He nodded but was still unconvinced, I could see it in his face.
We finished our ice cream and took our bags and moved out side of the shop.
Keifer: "Come I will drop you in the house"
Jay: "Its okay, I will go its my city, we just go to the bus stop first and I will text when I get home"
Keifer: "No, Jay I want to drop you , I know the way to the bus stand, I will satisfied if I see you go into your house before leaving "
Jay: "Why are so stubborn? "
Keifer: "Its a guy thing, you won't understand"
I know he wasn't in the mood to give up, So we started walking straight to my house. We reached my house, but we stood a little away from there,
Jay:" We are here" I said pointing at the house, he nodded and we looked at each other, both of us not moving.
I hugged him and said, "I know I have said this multiple times today but I am going to really miss you"
Keifer: "Yeah me too" he said hugging me back and kissing my forehead.
We pulled away,
Jay: "Text me when you get on the bus and also when you reach home" I said and he nodded while holding my hands
Keifer: "Okay bye. I love you!"
Jay: "Love you too" I said and moved towards my house only after giving him a kiss, while smiled and waved at me, I turned and gave him a one last look before entering my house and he also started moving.
