Bryan's POV
"This is insane," she said after talking to a lawyer. "Bryan there's literally nothing I can do to stop this money from coming to me when David dies."
"Then we donate it," I suggested. "Alice we take the money and give it all to charity."
"That's actually a good idea," she said. "Bryan we could set up a foundation to help kids who grew up without fathers."
Over the next month, Alice continued meeting with David but their relationship was strained now that she knew the truth about his business. He tried to explain that everything he'd done was to survive, but she wasn't buying it.
"You had choices," she told him during one of their meetings. "David you could have made your money legally."
"Maybe," he admitted. "Alice, but I was young and desperate and I made bad decisions that I can't take back now."
