Chapter 6 - Art is Moving Part I

As I step out of my second class, I hear the student starting to walk out of their own classes. Most of them just walk around talking with their friends until they get to their class, not like me, I just walk until I get where I'm supposed to be. I slightly turned my head, expecting it to be a turn; this hallway leads to the main hallway, but at the end of the hallway. There was a moving wall of viscous meat; it was slowly sliding forward as if it were alive. I continued walking, there was no need to go that way; I had already faced that creature, and it wasn't the best experience.

As I continue walking, there is another turn, but this time, there is no moving wall, just a hallway full of students. This hallway leads me to the cafeteria, where I slowly walk, hearing her soft breathing. I didn't look up, but I knew she was there, asleep as ever.

At this moment, I was getting closer as I exited the cafeteria, and a light blue door was waiting for me. I started walking slowly, and I would feel his breathing. A bit scared, I turned to my left, and there he was, his mouth covering the whole entry of the hallway. Air was entering through his mouth, passing through his sharp teeths as when the sound of air stopped, I walked faster. Suddenly, he stretched his mouth forward, trying to snap me. Through my back, I would hear his mouth going back to the entry of the main hallway. I just walked slowly to the light blue door; I was closer, I just needed to pass this door.

I walked faster to open the door, trying to escape for a second, I quickly touched the door to open it when I felt someone open the door from the other side. I quickly try to back up to not get hit, but it hit hand hand, making me fall on my butt. I stood on the floor complaining of the pain in my hand, while students passed but still trying to get to their classes.

Someone walked up in front of me "I'm so sorry, Kira" a guy said while I was still touching my hand, trying to make the pain go away when his voice sounded familiar somehow. I slightly raised my head to see this person "Come on, let me help you" said the guy extending his hand. I remember him. I never thought to cross with him or even speak his language. I was about to unconsciously grab his hand at that moment. I raised my eyes, trying to look for his eyes, mouth, eyebrows, nose, and lips, but I didn't find them. All he had was blonde hair that fell over his blank face. I try to force my silence; I know I shouldn't have, but I grabbed his hand, helping me stand on my feet.

As I stood, I realized that he was really in front of me, and he was silent "Um.." I heard from him as he was going to start talking "I should continue walking, I don't wanna be late" I interrupted him, and he stood silent for a moment "Um.. yeah, yeah," he said with a small trembling in his voice "I understand, I don't want you to be late" he continued saying as we both end up in silent. As I was the first one to move, I accidentally moved forward and hit his shoulder. I turned to my side to look at him, he seemed unbothered, so I continued walking, opening the door I was going to continue walking, but I turned my head back when I saw him standing there, as if he were frozen in the name of an honored statue.

I have walked all over my mind looking for his face, he used to be such a charming prince, but with a face hidden, yet on the path to becoming a king.

"Kira, dear, come in… why are you just standing there?" said Miss Karen, my art teacher, I quickly walked toward her, and she was standing by her door.
