The second-to-last Pokémon Denjiro sent out was Nidoking.
Naturally, it had reached the Elite Four level.
This was also one of the reasons Denjiro had initially been confident that he could defeat Shiko during the tournament.
All six of his main Pokémon were Elite Four-level Pokémon.
Even if Shiko's six Pokémon were pseudo-legendaries at the peak of the Elite Four level, Denjiro believed he would still stand a chance against him.
However, now that he was facing Belotti's Third-tier Legendary Pokémon, Denjiro could not summon even the slightest desire to resist.
Belotti maintained his impassive expression as he recalled Entei.
Immediately afterward, he took out another Poké Ball and tossed it lightly into the air.
A completely new Pokémon appeared.
It was a water-blue Pokémon with white diamond-shaped markings across its body. Two long, white streamers flowed around it.
It was none other than Suicune, one of the three Legendary Beasts.
According to legend, Suicune possessed the mysterious power to purify water.
When Suicune appeared, the spectators had already become numb.
They had expected this.
By now, it seemed almost certain that Belotti's final Pokémon would be Raikou, the last of the three Legendary Beasts.
On the battlefield, Denjiro's eyes were hollow and his expression had become unnaturally calm.
He did not even command Nidoking to fight.
He simply allowed Nidoking to act on its own.
Denjiro knew that even with his commands, there was no possibility of defeating Suicune.
The difference in strength was simply too vast.
It had reached a point where no amount of tactical guidance could compensate for it.
Reality proved him correct.
Nidoking gambled everything on one attack.
It immediately charged forward and unleashed Megahorn.
Its horn shone with a brilliant light, producing an astonishingly imposing aura.
However, the attack completely missed.
Suicune moved with extraordinary speed, gracefully avoiding Nidoking's charge.
Suicune immediately counterattacked.
It unleashed a terrifying Hydro Pump.
An absurdly massive column of water, as thick as a man's full arm span, slammed violently into Nidoking.
The enormous volume of water transformed the rocky terrain into an aquatic battlefield.
Nidoking collapsed onto the ground and lost consciousness.
As expected, it was another one-hit knockout.
Of course it was.
Denjiro's heart trembled slightly when he witnessed the result.
It truly was powerful.
After quietly expressing his admiration, Denjiro said nothing else.
He merely took out Nidoking's Poké Ball and silently recalled it.
Once Nidoking had been returned, the weight on his chest eased slightly.
One more battle.
Only one more battle remained.
At that thought, Denjiro's breathing gradually quickened.
He took out his final Poké Ball and released his last Pokémon.
His final Pokémon was Gyarados.
Suicune's Hydro Pump had transformed the battlefield into an aquatic arena, making it perfectly suited for Gyarados.
However, Denjiro knew that if his guess was correct, Belotti's last Pokémon would be Raikou.
As an Electric-type Legendary Pokémon, Raikou held a fourfold type advantage over Gyarados.
With such an overwhelming weakness, even the slightest attack would be enough to knock Gyarados out.
Sure enough, Belotti mechanically repeated the same actions.
He recalled Suicune and then took out another Poké Ball.
The Pokémon that appeared was indeed Raikou.
With this, all three Legendary Birds and all three Legendary Beasts had appeared.
Belotti truly possessed an absurd lineup composed entirely of Legendary Pokémon.
The final battle began immediately.
Before Gyarados could launch an attack, Raikou struck first.
Lightning was naturally extraordinarily fast.
Raikou unleashed Thunderbolt.
Its entire body erupted with dazzling light as enormous arcs of electricity coiled around it.
Electrical sparks crackled throughout the entire arena.
Terrifying Electric-type energy surged through the water covering the battlefield and reached Gyarados in the blink of an eye.
"ROAR!"
Gyarados released a miserable roar.
An instant later, excruciating pain surged throughout its body.
It immediately lost consciousness.
The attack had come from a Third-tier Legendary Pokémon, and Gyarados was four times weak to Electric-type attacks.
A one-hit knockout had been entirely predictable.
After taking the Thunderbolt, Gyarados sank beneath the water.
Denjiro's final Pokémon had fainted and lost the ability to battle.
The match came to an end.
Denjiro had unquestionably suffered a crushing defeat.
Everyone believed that the match was finally over.
However, no one could have anticipated that an unexpected scene would suddenly unfold.
