In the Elephant Empire, inside a small town near the front lines of the battle, a cheap, smelly hotel held its occupants. A little boy from The White City sat with his grandfather, both of them staring nervously at the live stream on the phone.
"Grandpa, why hasn't General Aiden moved? Is... is he in trouble?" the boy asked.
His eyes were wide with fear and worry.
His voice trembled as he blinked rapidly, unable to focus.
The boy clearly didn't want to see what happened next, yet he desperately hoped Aiden would suddenly burst out of that cage made of black vines.
The grandfather clenched his hands tight, taking deep, shaky breaths before finally managing to say:
"It's okay. We have to trust General Aiden. He can handle any danger and defeat all the enemies."
The rain outside grew heavier, pounding against the window with a dull thud.
The boy turned to look out, a look of determination finally appearing on his face.
