The Zombie Angel's chest tore wide open.
Inside there was no heart, no lungs, nothing belonging to a living body. Only a deep black pit, and from that pit, dozens, then hundreds of tentacles began pouring out.
Each tentacle stretched over ten meters long, pale white, its tip sprouting a small mouth full of teeth. They reached across the entire courtyard, writhing through the air, and whenever one of those heads touched a living creature, that mouth would clamp shut, drain it dry, then leave a desiccated husk behind.
The courtyard turned into hell in just a few seconds.
The remaining Survivors had nowhere left to run. Tentacles poured in from every direction, blanketing the ground, and screams began rising from all over.
On Morie's control panel, numbers started jumping wildly.
"The suppression field is being eroded away." She said quickly. "This Angel is too strong. Each tentacle is its own energy source. The towers can't pin all of them down."
