"Mm-hmm~"
Tamamo Cross arrived at a sushi restaurant near Central Tracen with the ease of someone who'd done it many times before.
Even though it was a high-end sushi place, the flavor profile was surprisingly suited to horsegirls after training…
Tamamo Cross rarely found a restaurant that fit a horsegirl's tastes this well. She suspected the owner must have a close connection to horsegirls—or maybe the owner was a horsegirl themselves.
Whoever the owner really was, Tamamo loved this place. It was a bit pricey, but she still came here fairly often.
But what happened today was beyond anything she expected.
"Huh? Isn't that Su Luo? Why are you here?"
Running into the investor she cared about at her favorite restaurant—this was like a gift falling from the sky.
Her mood lifted instantly, and the corners of her lips rose on their own. She walked over with light steps—
—and then froze mid-stride.
Beside Su Luo sat a gray-haired girl with hair the same gray-white shade as Tamamo's own, porcelain skin, delicate features—unmistakably the kind of beauty that made people blurt out "What a pretty girl!"
But most importantly…
She was sitting very close to Su Luo.
As if noticing Tamamo's gaze, the gray-haired horsegirl glanced at her with clear eyes… then quietly shifted even closer to Su Luo.
"…?"
For some reason, seeing her deliberately move in made Tamamo feel… complicated.
She walked up with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.
"So you're here for sushi too? This place is pretty good, you know. By the way—if you came to Central, why didn't you contact me?"
"Well… I was planning to finish what I had to do and head back to Nishikino, so I didn't want to bother you."
"Hmph~"
Tamamo raised an eyebrow. She clearly wasn't satisfied.
"So you came here to eat with a pretty girl? That's what you needed to do?"
"Uh…"
Su Luo couldn't answer.
Half of the reason he came to Central really was because of Oguri Cap, and the other half was his new money-losing plan—
…but neither of those sounded like something he could just say out loud here.
"It's true," the girl beside him said suddenly. "Su Luo came to see me."
It was Oguri Cap.
"See you? And who are you?" Tamamo asked.
"I'm one of the horsegirls Su Luo invested in. Oguri Cap."
"I see… what a coincidence. I'm also one of the horsegirls Su Luo invested in. My name is Tamamo Cross."
The two of them faced off in front of Su Luo, the atmosphere subtly tightening.
Tamamo Cross… was strong.
Even though she was small, there was something in her presence that made Oguri Cap's skin prickle.
What was this feeling?
Ever since coming to Central, this was the first time she'd sensed something like this…!
Is this… the aura of a true powerhouse…?
"Ahem."
Sensing the tension, Su Luo cleared his throat.
"Tamamo, since you're here, come sit. I'll cover your share too."
"Then I'll accept your kindness."
Tamamo slid into the seat right beside Su Luo.
Across from them, the sushi chef focused on forming each piece with practiced hands.
And Su Luo…
was now trapped, blocked on both sides by Oguri Cap and Tamamo Cross.
Oguri noticed Tamamo moving in, and quietly pressed even closer as well.
Su Luo didn't pay attention to their little territorial maneuvers—he was just uncomfortable being squeezed in the middle.
Soon, the sushi started arriving.
Su Luo and Tamamo ate at a normal pace…
But Oguri Cap was another story.
She moved like a vacuum cleaner—she opened her mouth, and the neat little sushi on the plate simply vanished.
"…?"
Is this kid trying to challenge my rice-ball forming speed?
The head chef saw Oguri's eating speed and raised an eyebrow, then unconsciously sped up his hands.
One plate. Two plates…
Five. Ten…
The chef's calm gaze slowly turned into disbelief. His smooth motions became frantic, and tiny beads of sweat appeared at his temples.
What kind of monster is this?!
Oguri's tempo seemed to enter some hidden mode—she stopped eating "one by one," and instead swallowed pieces almost the instant they touched her plate, barely even pausing to dip in soy sauce.
Su Luo had just lifted his chopsticks to grab a piece of fatty tuna—
—and Oguri already had a stack of empty plates piled halfway up, while Tamamo was still chewing her second sweet shrimp sushi.
The chef's arms became afterimages. Press rice, slice, shape, lay fish—
—and still, from Oguri's side came a crisp little sound.
A plate being pushed away.
"P-please… wait…"
The chef muttered under his breath, hands moving even faster, yet it still felt like he was chasing a silent storm.
Sometimes he glanced up at Oguri, only to see her wearing a focused expression, cheeks lightly moving—like she wasn't eating thirty pieces of sushi, but casually clearing endless appetizers.
In the end, the chef gave up on serving all three at once.
He called assistants to handle the other two customers, while he himself went all-in—like it was a duel—pouring everything into feeding the gray-haired horsegirl with the bottomless stomach.
He was going to challenge this horsegirl's appetite!
And then—
"M-my hand—!!"
The chef screamed, clutching his wrist.
"My hand's cramping—!!"
Pale-faced, he was dragged into the back by two assistants, his right hand still stuck in a stiff "sushi-grip" pose, trembling.
Su Luo stared at the scene, the corners of his mouth twitching.
He turned to Oguri.
She calmly popped the last salmon roe gunkan into her mouth, cheeks slightly puffed in satisfaction, completely unaware she'd just caused a kitchen disaster.
The mountain of empty plates silently testified to how brutal this battle had been.
Is her stomach… connected to another dimension…?
Su Luo sighed internally.
He'd thought he already understood Oguri's appetite after eating with her several times.
But today still smashed his expectations.
She didn't just eat the chef into exhaustion—she nearly cleaned out the restaurant's reserve stock too.
But…
Well done.
Now not only do I have to pay the meal—
I'm paying the chef's medical fees as well!
"Heh-heh-heh…"
Tamamo, stunned, had even forgotten to eat the tamagoyaki sushi pinched between her fingers.
"Why are you smiling so happily…?" she asked, speechless, watching Su Luo's sinister grin.
