Chapter 20: (A drama in a night club)
The night was really beautiful as the lights from buildings and cars made the city glitter.
Although, the night wasn't beautiful for some people.
Lei Xue angrily walked into the nightclub heading straight to the counter pushing any crazy dancer that blocked her way. Arriving at the counter, she immediately took out a picture showing it to a waitress.
"Have you seen this guy?",
she asked showing her the picture and the waitress pointed at the guy seated afar on a sofa surrounded by a lot of strippers swimming over him.
Her blood boiled as she walked over to them.
"Piss off sluts, he's got a fiance!",
Lei Xue yelled at them but the girls eyed her and continued clinging to her supposed fiance.
"Yang Ren, get those bitches of you before I do it myself!",
she yelled at the guy and he rolled his eyes.
"Alright ladies, give daddy a minute",
he said throwing a huge pile of money into the air and the girls immediately let go of him scrambling for the money.
Lei Xue kept glaring at him as he stood up bringing his face closer to hers as he stretched his lips for a kiss.
She could get the heavy smell of alcohol from his mouth and if not for the fact she wanted to be the daughter in-law to the CEO of Black Mesa Games which was the biggest and most popular gaming company in the in the whole of Beijing, she wouldn't have bothered betraying her brother for this piece of shit.
She slapped him on the face and he immediately withdrew his face holding his cheeks as he glared at her.
"Have you lost your mind!", Yang Ren yelled at her.
"You're the one loosing it, dare try to kiss me after flirting with whores", she said.
"Aren't you a whore yourself, tell me, how many rich guys have you forced yourself on before me!",
Yang Ren yelled and she slapped him again.
"How dare you call me...",
she couldn't complete her words cause she was suddenly slapped back by Yang Ren. He grabbed her hair dragging it down to make her look him in the eye ignoring her whinces of pain.
"Now listen you slut, I'm not committed to you in anyways and even when my father has us married, don't you dare think you've got the right to stop me from flirting or messing around with any woman ",
he said letting go off her hair and pushing her to the floor before going back to the sofa, spreading his arms like a king and the strippers immediately rushed back to him while Lei Xue stood up leaving the club in shame.
The following morning, still at Beijing, Yang Zhi was seated at his office busy with his computer when his door was opened and Nalan yu walked in wearing a long white gown and a granny jacket with a silver handbag hung around her elbow.
Yang Zhi smiled seeing her as he turned off his computer although she didn't return the smile and just sat opposite him.
"Mrs Yu, I'm quite surprised to see you, what do I owe this sudden visit",
Yang Zhi said and she rolled her eyes.
"I came to report my annoyance with your son, he's such a huahua gongzi (womanizer) and he's giving my daughter a hard time", Nalan Yu said and Yang Zhi grinned.
"Well I've tried my best to change him but it never works, even I wish he could take my company serious and stop wasting my money but though, you have no right to complain about my son's treatment to your daughter, the deal was help me out and then marry my son, the contract didn't mention any special treatment of any sort. Besides, your son is also giving me a hard time, he's quite a hard nut to crack ", Yang Zhi said.
"I'd advise you take things slowly with Lei Zhang, as much as I hate him, I can't help complementing him, that boy is really smart ", Nalan Yu said.
"Boy? Is a male of twenty five still addressed as a boy?", Yang Zhi asked and Nalan Yu scoffed.
"No matter how a man grows, in his mother's eyes, he's still seen as a boy ", Nalan Yu said and Yang Zhi nodded.
"Hmmm, nice facts. Well, I'd better get going to the airport, wouldn't want to miss my flight to Shanghai ",
Yang Zhi said standing up walking away and Nalan Yu creased her brows as she turned her chair back to look at him.
"What are you going to Shanghai for?", she asked and Yang Zhi stopped in his steps but didn't turn back to look at her.
"To have lunch with the boy", Yang zhi said and continued walking away while Nalan Yu watched his back until he disappeared.

In a private classy restaurant at Shanghai, a room was dimly lit, a quiet jazz melody drifting in the background, the two CEOs sat at opposite sofas still close to each other and Yang Zhi raised his glass.
"To us, to vision and partnership",
Yang Zhi said and Lei Zhang clinked glasses with a faint smile on his face.
"And to trust",
Lei Zhang added to see Yang Zhi's reaction, and Yang Zhi chuckled.
"Ah, trust, the rarest currency in business",
Yang Zhi said and they drank for a while as they talked lightly about trends, gaming innovations and upcoming conferences. Then, Yang Zhi leaned forward.
"I heard your company is developing a new project, a fantasy RPG right?",
Yang Zhi asked and Lei Zhang pretended to be surprised even though he had purposely let the rumor travel out.
He needed to keep Yang Zhi busy with other things while he secretly worked on his plans. He was building another branch of his company in Beijing but didn't want Yang Zhi finding out about it.
"Words travels fast", Lei Zhang said.
"Of cause it does. That's the beauty of partnership, no walls between us. You share your art, I share my platform and we grow together",
Yang Zhi said and Lei Zhang smiled thinly.
"As long as we both grow",
Lei Zhang said and Yang Zhi tilted his head slightly.
"You sound cautious", Yang Zhi said.
"I've seen partnerships crumble over ambition, one partner always thinks he's the smarter one",
Lei Zhang said and Yang Zhi laughed softly.
"Then let's promise not to be those partners",
Yang Zhi said and Lei Zhang smiled inwardly. He had said that to show Yang Zhi he was suspicious of him. If he only kept playing the dummy, Yang Zhi would also grow suspicious knowing that Lei Zhang was a smart young man and couldn't just easily keep falling for every trick he pulled without any suspicions.
Lei Zhang smiled lifting his glass.
"I'll drink to that",
Lei Zhang said and they both drank, eyes never leaving each other.
That night after returning to his office Lei Zhang stood by his window, the city lights of Shanghai painting silver reflections across his face as he brought out his phone and immediately called Xu Jin.
"Zhang, seriously what's so important that couldn't wait till morning",
Xu Jin's voice came through the phone.
"Can you find anything about Yang Zhi's debt records, his investor, cross-reference and dates of his last funding round", Lei Zhang said.
"What's wrong, new suspicions?, Xu Jin asked.
"I'm thinking he moves too fast for a man with no financial strain, I want to know why", Lei Zhang said.
"Alright, I'll see what I can do about that",
Xu Jin said ending the call. Lei Zhang turned to back to his table.
The partnership contract lay open once again and he ran his fingers over Yang Zhi's signature, his jaw tightening.
"Smooth talker", he whispered.
"You won't catch me sleeping". T.B.C
