Chapter 148 - Chapter 148

"Captain Griffith, Mirage Particles have completed spherical dispersion across a 90-kilometer diameter."

Bartley watched the dispersion status and reported to Felix in a booming voice. Hearing this, Felix glanced at the screen before him and gave a slight nod.

"Understood."

While responding verbally, Felix continued operating the controls simultaneously.

The locking mechanisms on the specialized test platform disengaged, and multiple DRAGOON units maneuvered in different directions under thrust propulsion.

Observing the screen feedback, Felix maintained continuous operation.

"The situation looks excellent!"

Arnold watched the feedback data on the screen, a smile playing on his lips as he nodded with satisfaction.

Hearing Arnold's comment, Felix glanced sideways at him before returning his focus to the screen, performing various operations based on the different feedback data displayed.

In the cosmic scene shown on the screen

The DRAGOON units moved freely through the spherical Mirage Particle dispersion field, like unrestrained fish swimming in the ocean.

After more than ten minutes,

Felix ceased operations, and the DRAGOON units returned to the platform where the locking mechanisms secured them firmly in place.

Reviewing the various data on the screen, Felix pressed a button.

As the command transmitted, the Illusion Particle Conical Dispersion Furnace began retrieving the Mirage Particles dispersed in space through constraint current.

How's the Mirage Particle backflow situation?"

He glanced sideways at Ruben and asked.

Upon hearing this, Ruben checked the feedback data on the screen and reported.

"The return flow conditions are good, with no losses generated.""

"Hmm."

With a faint smile, Felix responded softly.

Turning to Arnold, he said joyfully,

"Director Arnold, these test results are quite promising."

"Hmm." Arnold nodded in acknowledgment before continuing to Felix. "Good test results, but we need to conduct several more tests before installation and use. If these subsequent tests proceed without issues, we can proceed with formal installation."

"I won't be participating in the subsequent tests."

Upon hearing this, Felix smiled slightly and informed Arnold.

Arnold responded with a slight nod.

Beneath the surface of the Malacca Strait

Bang!

Yzak slammed his fist hard against the wall, his face showing frustration as he growled with unwillingness.

"Damn it, of all times for a malfunction to occur."

"Getting worked up won't help. You'd be better off resting properly instead of wasting energy on frustration."

Dearka leaned back in his seat, turning to look at Yzak with an amused smile as he spoke.

Hearing this, Yzak turned to glare at Dearka.

"Do you think everyone is like you?"

"What's wrong with how I am?"

Dearka examined his own condition, smiled with satisfaction, and retorted to Yzak.

Seeing that Dearka remained unchanged, Yzak simply stopped engaging with him. He took two steps forward toward Athrun, who sat there in silence.

Noticing Yzak approaching, Athrun looked up.

"Is something wrong, Yzak?"

"Athrun, when we join the battle later, I hope you can set aside those thoughts in your mind."

As he spoke, Yzak's voice grew sharper as he issued a stern warning.

"If you're still like that when the time comes, don't blame me for being harsh!"

With that, Yzak turned and left without waiting for Athrun's response. Watching Yzak depart, emotions swirled in Athrun's eyes. He pressed his lips together as if wanting to say something but found himself unable to speak.

Seeing Athrun's troubled expression, Nicol walked over and sat in the empty seat beside him. Looking at Athrun with a warm, gentle smile, he spoke in a soothing voice.

"Athrun, don't take Yzak's words too seriously. He's the type who's harsh in speech but soft at heart. He actually wants to help you deep down."

Looking at Nicol and listening to his words, Athrun nodded slightly and forced a smile in response.

"I know. Thank you, Nicol."

"No need to thank me!" Nicol replied with his usual smile and tone, shaking his head. He continued watching Athrun and added, "We're friends, after all. This is what friends do."

Hearing the word "friends," Athrun's pupils slightly contracted. He lowered his gaze, looking down to avoid meeting Nicol's eyes.

Seeing this, Nicol didn't say anything more. He simply stood up calmly and left Athrun to his own thoughts.

Felix's Apartment

Sitting on the sofa playing a game, Felix glanced at the time and chuckled softly.

"The Archangel is about to enter Orb."

After saying this, Felix refocused his attention and continued playing his game.

Meanwhile, on Earth, just as Felix had predicted, the Archangel was on the verge of being destroyed by Athrun and the others when it suddenly turned and crashed into Orb's territorial waters.

Seeing this, Athrun and the others had to cease their pursuit and return to their mothership due to Orb's status as a neutral non-combatant nation.

"Damn it!"

On the way back, Yzak growled in frustration.

...

Five days later, March 28th

After receiving a communication, Felix left his apartment and took a shuttle to the MS manufacturing factory.

Inside the Factory

"How does it feel, Captain Griffith?"

Arnold stood beside Felix, looking proudly at the completed MS before them.

Glancing at Arnold beside him, Felix then turned his gaze to the MS in front of him.

He was very familiar with the MS's appearance - it was almost identical to the Freedom Gundam from his memories, with no differences.

"Captain Griffith, this MS was built entirely according to your combat data, featuring high mobility and high firepower output.

It fully meets your requirements for both firepower and mobility."

After explaining this to Felix, Arnold paused briefly and shifted his gaze to a nearby aircraft. Looking at the aircraft, he continued.

"Additionally, this MS is equipped with an Auxiliary Flight Unit! This unit can provide extra thrust during the MS's non-combat flight mode, increasing its flight speed. Moreover, the Auxiliary Flight Unit can also offer combat support during battle, helping the MS achieve greater results on the battlefield."

Listening to Arnold's introduction, Felix shifted his gaze to the flight unit nearby. Its appearance felt familiar to Felix, largely resembling the Justice backpack equipment in his memory.

The only difference was that the flight unit carried more weaponry than the Destiny-00 backpack equipment, looking like a flying arsenal.

"Captain Griffith, what are your thoughts?"

Seeing Felix examining the Auxiliary Flight Unit, Arnold asked him aloud.
