Chapter 136 - Chapter 137: Prophet Felix? Launching the Second Attack

After returning to the base, Aisha looked at her beloved with affectionate eyes and asked, "Darling, how do you plan to deal with that new warship of the Earth Alliance Forces?"

Hearing his lover's question, Andrew reached out to open the drawer in front of him and took out a letter. Aisha looked at the paper letter in her lover's hand, a puzzled expression appearing on her face.

"What is this?"

"This is a letter Felix secretly sent over two days ago along with a package of coffee," Andrew explained, seeing the confusion on his lover's face.

Upon hearing this, Aisha had some guesses but still didn't know the contents of the letter. Seeing the expression on his lover's face, Andrew smiled and said in a teasing tone, "That guy predicted two days ago, like some prophet, that the Earth Alliance's new warship might end up in my area of jurisdiction."

"He predicted this two days ago?" Aisha's face showed surprise as she spoke in disbelief.

Andrew nodded, then handed the letter to his lover. Taking the letter, Aisha began reading its contents. While she was reading, Andrew took the opportunity to make himself a cup of coffee.

Just as he finished making the coffee, he saw that his lover had finished reading the letter. Carrying the coffee over, Andrew asked with a smile, "What do you think after reading it?"

"Very impressive!" Aisha praised Felix while looking at her lover.

Andrew blew on his coffee, took a sip, and said to his lover, "Yes, very impressive." As he spoke, a smile appeared on his face, and he continued, "Although this conclusion makes him seem like a prophet who can foresee the future, the content he wrote in the letter is well-reasoned and provides support for his conclusion. We have to admire him for that."

Aisha nodded in agreement with her lover's words. Then, changing her train of thought, she looked at Andrew and asked, "Should we follow Felix's suggestion in the letter?"

"Yes, we'll act according to his suggestion—intercept while preserving our strength and protecting ourselves," Andrew replied with a slight nod.

Looking at his lover, Andrew continued, "I promised him we would walk this path together, not leave halfway. So, to keep that promise, making necessary compromises is unavoidable."

"No matter what you do, I will support you," Aisha said softly, leaning close to Andrew and resting her head on his shoulder, her words filled with tenderness, trust, and support.

Feeling his lover's trust and support, warmth surged in Andrew's heart. He raised his arm to hold her close, tilting his head to rest against hers. "It's so good to have you."

The next day, the Archangel, which had stayed overnight in the Libyan desert, began to move, heading toward the Red Sea.

On the bridge, Mu looked out at the desert and prayed, "I hope we don't encounter the ZAFT Forces again."

Just as Murrue was about to nod in agreement, a soldier's report came through.

"High-speed moving object detected approaching! Orange, thirty-three, twenty-one, mark fifteen, triangle!"

"Not very impressive, huh?"

Mu wore a wry smile as he quipped.

——

Without lingering further, he strode outside.

"Kira Yamato, Strike Gundam launching!"

"Mu La Flaga, Skygrasper launching!"

"For the upcoming battle, I'll handle that MS. You all coordinate with the mothership to attack that warship.

Remember what I said before the operation began.

Otherwise, expect punishment when we return!"

From the cockpit of his custom BuCUE, Andrew communicated the battle arrangements and warning to all his subordinates.

"Yes, Captain."

Hearing his subordinates' responses over the comms, Andrew ended the communication.

His eyes fixed on the screen, he watched as an MS descended from the Archangel. It was the same MS he had seen last night—

only its armaments had been changed.

"Equipped with better aerial combat gear now?"

Andrew smiled faintly, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly.

The next moment, Andrew pressed his finger on the trigger, firing the two electromagnetic cannons mounted on his back at the Strike Gundam.

Inside the Strike Gundam's cockpit, Kira saw the incoming attack. His hands moved swiftly over the controls, his foot pressing hard on the pedal as the Gundam leaped into the air.

Dodging the two electromagnetic cannon shells, he aimed his beam rifle at the custom BuCUE and returned fire.

Seeing the attack, Aisha manipulated the controls, transforming the custom BuCUE into tank mode and speeding across the desert.

Boom!

The beam struck the sand.

A loud roar followed, sending sand flying over ten meters high.

As the sand settled, a clear mark of the beam attack remained.

"Damn it!"

Kira muttered in frustration at the missed shot.

He maneuvered the Strike Gundam to aim again at the custom BuCUE on the ground.

The custom BuCUE raised its two back-mounted electromagnetic cannons.

Firing before Kira could!

"So fast!"

A look of shock crossed Kira's face as his hands worked the controls.

He positioned the shield in front to block.

Boom!

A loud impact echoed.

The powerful force destabilized the Strike Gundam, sending it tilting backward.

Reacting quickly, Kira manipulated the controls.

The back thrusters engaged, correcting the Gundam's posture.

Once back on the ground, Kira pressed the pedal hard again.

The Strike Gundam leaped up, using the aerial combat gear's brief flight capability to charge straight at the custom BuCUE.

He raised an arm, drawing the beam saber from the backpack.

"So this is a beam weapon?"

Andrew murmured, eyeing the beam saber.

He then ordered the custom BuCUE to open fire.

Aisha skillfully piloted the custom BuCUE, dodging nimbly across the terrain.

The whistling attacks forced Kira to evade. As he dodged, he watched the custom BuCUE maneuver away and had to switch weapons again.

Raising the beam rifle once more.

He fired at the custom BuCUE on the ground.

Boom!

A shot landed in the sand, missing its target.

Just as he was about to fire a second shot, the custom BuCUE's counterattack arrived.

Forced to abort the second attack, Kira controlled the Strike Gundam to evade.

Meanwhile, in Mu's Skygrasper—

"Bastard!"

Mu cursed in frustration as his attack missed.

His hands pulled the control stick, and the Skygrasper executed evasive maneuvers in the air, dodging attacks from the BuCUE on the ground.

Weaving through the missile barrage, the Skygrasper completed its evasion.

"This guy isn't an ordinary fighter pilot."

Watching the Skygrasper's aerial maneuvers, the BuCUE pilot analyzed aloud.

As he spoke, his hands controlled the BuCUE to transform, switching to tank mode to move rapidly across the ground and avoid being hit by aerial fire.

"Damn it!"

Seeing the BuCUE scurrying erratically on the ground while firing at him, Mu felt extremely frustrated. A sense of helplessness welled up inside him, and he let out a low growl.
