"Elara just contacted me. I've got a plan…"
The words trailed as something else pressed into my awareness. I froze, every sense sharpening at once as a deadly presence revealed itself.
"I see…"
I mumured to myself.
Mors hasn't resurrected from the combined attacks, so the three of us are forced to face the danger that escalates more than before.
We moved in sync, leaving me behind because they couldn't keep up with me. As the battle progressed, Vikir was pushed into a corner. Realising he's on the brink of self-destruction, he charged his aura more, resuming his onslaught, but it was already too late.
"Now!"
I commanded, Kenos charged, the rod in hand, driving it into his chest.
"Abyssal Release."
Nihilith level of nothingness surged within him, resealed from the inside, flooding his inside with annihilation itself.
Vikir's body convulsed violently as he twisted the rod still impaled through him, and in that same motion, black long spikes erupted outward, skewering his form.
(Vikir's taking damage due to wear. In order to preserve himself, he has to regulate it. Meanwhile, Kenos's Black Void has ascended into the early Nihiliths range capable of harming Vikir.
Not only void, but even light can reach Nihiliths based damage. As long as it meets the criteria.)
Quantum Quake's free hand rose, energy condensing into a crushing singularity aimed straight for Kenos's head but before it could strike, I intercepted, my silver threads tightening around its wrist, halting the motion with sheer force of will.
Belenos seized the opening, hurling her Polaris Lance from behind, but a tendril of Indigo Void coiled out like a serpent, deflecting it mid-flight with an ear-splitting crack. Then another tendril emerged, larger and faster, in a single sweeping motion. It erased Kenos, leaving behind only his feet, still smouldering in the air.
"By the Goddess of First Light..."
Belenos's voice trembled through clenched teeth as a tentacle coiled tightly around her upper body, lifting her helplessly toward the creature's maw.
I reacted instantly, Aurether surged, and I fired a blinding beam straight at its head. The impact shattered its mask, revealing the face beneath the visage of a true monster.
"Thanks for making it easier."
The thing, Vikir, smirked, opening its grotesque jaws wide, intent on devouring her whole.
'Lightless.'
I shot forward to intercept, but Phoenix was already there.
"The World of Mirror isn't the World of Reflection!"
He said, his energy forming a luminous sphere around him. Vikir's rings pulsed, their alien light flickering once.
"Heh?"
Phoenix froze, confusion crossing his face. Before his attack could land, the spell reflected, a perfect mirror copy of his own technique unleashed upon him. A shining mirror manifested before his body, his own expression staring back, motionless, trapped.
Then it cracked, splitting into fragments that fell silently into the indigo abyss below, and Phoenix vanished along with them.
Mors responded to my summons, manifesting in the void of space, the Genesis Sword: Unlogos gleaming in her grasp.
"Unlogos, the Abolisher of Divine Order across the cosmos... even the Word of God stands no chance before you. Taste complete annihilation...Scripture Undoing!"
Quantum Quake flinched, its form pulsing as it raised an arm, summoning torrents of Indigo Void to counter the incoming arc or so it thought
But the arc carried no magic, no divine or voidic trace. It was pure Unlogos, otherworldly negation made manifest.
The strike carved forward, and everything along its path simply ceased to be. Space, void, Indigo Void, Drops, Pond, even Yuánlì itself were erased, their Ontologions cleansed as if they had never existed, Arcanocysts wiping out the archive.
The Indigo Void collapsed in on itself, and the arc carved through Quantum Quake's arm without resistance. It drove onward into the torso, crossing the chest in a single, merciless line before erupting from the left ribs, severing clean to the other side of its body as it continued forward far beyond the range of my sight, a wound in Existence that refused to heal.
That was the opening we had been waiting for. With its form crippled beyond fast regeneration, I charged, my fist cloaked in Aurether, the bond surging at 80/20, the highest I'd ever achieved.
But before I could strike, a blinding streak tore across the battlefield.
It was the Twin Star, Algol. He reappeared, moving at a speed beyond my calculations, his body fully healed, the black tattoos that once consumed him now purged, leaving only his eyes, inked and burning with power, as he drove forward to meet my blow in the opposite direction.
Furthermore, his eyes were opened for the first time, and his pupils were completely black like a regular human's. His eye tattoos were white. But that wasn't what piqued my interest. His fist was cloaked in a void other than Indigo Void. It was Violet. A Violet Void on par with Quantum Quake's Indigo Void if not more potent.
Our fists collided with the defenceless monster, a perfect synchronisation of power and precision. My punch drove straight into its abdomen, severing its body cleanly, while Algol's strike struck its face as it turned, surprised by the sheer force of void this mortal channelled against it.
The impact nullified its upper half completely. Its knees buckled against the void of space before its legs lay flat, broken, and lifeless.
Before silence could reign, Vikir wasn't done. His legs trembled, barely clinging to existence. We struck simultaneously, my Aurether and the Violet Void converging, absorbing the remaining leg in perfect unison.
For a fleeting moment, we locked eyes, an unspoken acknowledgement of victory. A trophy, perhaps a tool received.
Elara awoke.
"Oh... you've finished him already."
She rose gracefully, surveying the aftermath.
Kenos was regenerating, rising steadily, his form whole once more. Belenos, exhausted, kept her guard up, ready for any lingering threat.
Mors appeared beside Algol, holding the mirror that contained Phoenix, Unlogos vanished, but the Scythe of Unwritten was still hovering behind her.
A gate to the Abyss cracked open, pulling in all traces of Indigo Void that lingered. Mors leapt in without hesitation. Kenos disappeared, likely into the gate, and Algol turned, his steps measured as he slowly approached the fissure, eyes fixed on the descending abyss.
The battlefield fell silent, the echoes of annihilation fading into the void, leaving only the faint shimmer of Aurether and fading Indigo traces as testament to the devastation we had wrought.
"The alliance has been dissolved. The opposition remains."
He noted before departing, the gate was closing. Both sides took a heavy toll. Unfortunately, Algol, too, prioritised recovery in such a time.
Belenos signed, releasing her Divine Form, lying down in the void.
"Finally, it's over."
She sighed.
"I'll make sure to help you recover with my powers."
Elara said.
"Thanks, but I'll pass. You've done more than enough for me."
"Oh my, it's the least I can do."
She gave a cheeky smile.
"Lord First, what can we do with this void? Is it a big risk to leave it as it is."
Elara asked, quickly changing her personality. Noticing the faint indigo void still lingering in the Pond.
"Leave that to me."
"The Stars of this generation really did witness hell."
She added, not expecting the Star Realm to unfold with chaos after chaos.
"I guess we will have to rebuild everything...again."
Belenos sighed, frustrated. First it was Mors, now and otherworldly threat destroyed her Domain.
I kinda feel bad for them. Having their Domains destroyed over and over.
"The Stars are in the Garden."
I began.
"As for the Pond, I've taken us to one of the uninhabited ones' lowest levels, just above the Abyss. We'll make this entire area an extension of the Abyss. I doubt any sane Star would dare set foot in it."
I announced, and for the first time, I sighed, catching both Omnis completely off guard.
"That's new."
"That's odd."
The two said, exchanging eye contact.
"I'm no god, I can be excused, unlike you all. I'll take my leave and get some rest."
I said before flying away.
The damage was minimal, and the chaotic clash ended peacefully without a single casualty. To me, that's all that matters. Those fragile lives need protection, and I'll protect them no matter what."
With that thought lingering, I ascended through the Pond, flying toward the Garden to seek an audience with my Creator.
To be continued...
