The Sunny approached the base of the Red Line. Once more, they were back here.
"We are back," Luffy said with a grin.
Last time they were here, they were on the other side, but now, they were back. They just needed to go through Fish-Man Island and then they would be in the New World, which the crew was actually ready for.
Their strength was on the high tier of the new sea. People like Kid, Law, or even Bonney's crew did not stand a chance against the Straw Hats, even if they all jumped them together.
Even if Kairo was removed, their asses did not have Haki.
Nami probably beat them on her own only because of that fact. None of them were a threat to her.
And that was excluding the fact that Luffy had Gear 4, and Zoro had grasped Conqueror's coating on his sword.
His Wado Ichimonji was in the process of turning into a Black Blade. It was not one yet, you know, since he got his ass handed to him and all, and he was not fully attuned to his sword and all that shit.
Though he would get there, and Sanji was stronger than canon, but after the last island, Zoro had gapped him by a huge margin.
Though, Kairo was not worried. Sanji had some slight Lunarian genetics due to being a modified human, that shit would carry him.
Though that gene needed to awaken, and with Sanji not being in tune with that side of him, chances were high he would not agree to do it, but oh well.
Nami looked at the orb that was supposed to give them direction.
"Huh, it's telling us to go straight?"
Where the hell were they supposed to go? The wall was big as shit.
"Actually, it's down," Kairo said bluntly.
"Fish-Man Island is about 6.2 miles down, or ten thousand kilometers."
Kairo stood up, his gaze looking at the wall.
"That deep?!" Oh Chopper, you cute pet.
"We just need to go down."
Usopp was about to turn on the ship's marine mode, but one of Robin's hands stopped him.
"Hey, what was that for?" he looked mildly annoyed.
The finger pointed at Kairo, who was looking at the wall.
"You looking for something?" Sanji asked.
Kairo jumped off the ship, flapping his wings as he approached the wall.
His hands touched it. He seemed to be looking for something.
Kairo pulled out his sword, placed it in the palm of his hand, and imbued a shit ton of Conqueror's Haki into the blade before slashing at his palm.
Yes, he needed active Conqueror's Haki to hurt himself. His durability was high as fuck.
He placed his bloodied hand on the wall.
Silence.
Then—
The wall lit up.
Ancient markings spread outward like veins.
The stone trembled.
RRRRRRRRR—
An entrance appeared.
Everyone froze.
Usopp pointed dramatically.
"THERE WAS A SECRET DOOR THIS WHOLE TIME?!"
"Yes."
"WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY THAT EARLIER?!"
"You did not ask."
You know what... fair enough.
He would fly inside. The opened hole was quite large, so the ship could fit inside. Matter of fact, it fit perfectly inside.
There were a lot of stalagmites around, but oh well.
{Intruders detected}
Luffy turned around.
"What was that?"
He heard something.
"What was what?" Nami looked confused.
Did Luffy hear something?
"Did you guys not hear that?" Luffy was confused. He could not be the only one hearing that.
{Preparing to eradicate intruders}
Luffy got on guard.
"AH!" Chopper got scared, hiding behind Robin, who herself was confused by Chopper's reaction.
Wondering if he was okay.
If only she knew, Chopper and Luffy's Voice of All Things were picking up a voice.
The warning signal of the ancient Lunarians.
Luffy was about to blow into his muscles to go Gear 4, however—
{Lunarian DNA found}
A door opened in front of them.
The Straw Hats were amazed.
As they went through the door, what lay beyond it was simply breathtaking.
The technology was so advanced, we speaking like shit that was eight hundred years ahead of the current era.
Technology that Vegapunk was merely trying to replicate, but now, all for the eyes to see.
"So cool!" Luffy's eyes were stars.
As the ship docked, Franky's gaze turned around.
"What kind of tech is this?"
Shit was advanced like a motherfucker.
"This is the secret dock," Kairo said, landing and looking around.
"The fact it's untouched means no one has been here."
"Secret?!" Kairo did not need to turn around to guess who it was.
"The city should be up ahead. I will grab some stuff and then we can go."
He said, walking in front.
Meanwhile, in the back, Sanji frowned. Something felt off.
"Didn't you say they were attacked six years ago?"
He remembered Robin saying that shit.
"This place doesn't look like it's been destroyed," Usopp added.
This place was clean and all. The tech was still ridiculously advanced.
Chopper meanwhile was running away from a robot.
"No pets allowed within this premise."
"I AM NOT A PET!" Chopper screamed out as he ran for his life.
As they arrived near a wall, there were some ladders to go up.
Shit was incredibly tight, like Franky's ass could barely fit in, but hey, they made it work.
Eventually, Luffy's head would poke out from the dirt, the sun hitting his face.
He was a bit giddy to see this ninja village.
Yet, as he came out, he and everyone else saw the same sight.
The entire place had been annihilated.
Not destroyed.
Erased.
Magma coated sections of the ruins.
Entire areas remained frozen solid.
Fragments of light were embedded into walls like crystallized explosions.
The very air felt burned.
Like the battle still lingered.
Nami's breathing slowed.
"...What happened here?"
Then—
The holograms activated.
Flickering lights filled the ruined village.
And suddenly—
The past replayed itself.
Explosions.
Screams.
Winged Lunarians falling from the sky.
Marine battleships surrounding the Red Line.
Admirals.
Holy Knights.
Pacifistas.
Children running.
People burning alive.
A younger Kairo—
Covered in blood.
Trying to fight.
Trying to save someone.
The crew froze.
Nobody spoke.
Not a single joke.
Not even Brook.
Because this was not a battle.
It was genocide.
And in the middle of the hologram—
A voice echoed.
"ERASE EVERYTHING!"
BOOOOOOOOM!!!
Light engulfed the village.
The recording looped again.
And again.
And again.
Perona looked sick.
Robin's eyes darkened.
A/N....next few chapters should be a flashback if i remember my draft correctly.
