Kairo and Franky spoke for a bit.
"300 Million Berry for the new ship," Kairo said.
"The Adam wood is quite difficult to find," Franky replied.
"...Don't... try this," Kairo said dryly, as if to say that the person before him wasn't going to get away with scamming him.
Suddenly, the door opened. Franky turned around as a blond man followed by a reindeer walked in.
Kairo mentally noted how quick they were.
"Who the hell are they?" Franky asked, looking at them.
Sanji walked up to Kairo before handing him a seal.
"We took the train and stopped where you said. We brought the material you asked for," Sanji said, taking a small puff from his cigarette.
He exhaled a cloud of smoke before glancing at Franky.
"Who the hell is he?" he asked, pointing at the cyborg.
"That's Franky. The guy who'll be building our new ship," Kairo responded calmly.
Sanji looked at Franky.
"He doesn't look like much," he said, taking another puff of smoke.
"He's also a cyborg," Kairo added.
Chopper's eyes lit up—an actual cyborg! That sounded insanely cool.
Sanji, on the other hand, didn't care... until he noticed the two ladies next to Franky. Instantly, his inner simp emerged.
"Two pretty ladies... is this heaven~"
Kairo had a blank look on his face.
"Bro, get your hands away from my sisters," Franky warned.
Note to self: Franky was protective over those two girls.
Kairo then removed his seal, and thousands of logs came pouring out—neatly stacked together.
"This is roughly 150 million worth of Adam wood," Kairo said calmly.
"And 150 million for other materials needed for the ship."
Chopper looked at Kairo.
"We even left one spot before Water 7, and we found the metal you asked for," the reindeer said politely.
Kairo patted Chopper's head.
"This is a new ore," Kairo said calmly.
"I'd like for it to be part of the new Merry."
Franky frowned.
"I won't put any kind of junk in a ship."
Kairo smiled slightly.
"This alloy is a bit different," he said, shaping the metal into a tiny robot figure.
"Something special about it is..." He squeezed the metal, and it returned to its original shape.
"It can revert quite efficiently—stronger than steel, yet more malleable than mercury. I currently have full ownership of the metal. If the ship is properly built, I'll make sure you have enough to upgrade yourself," Kairo said, looking at the cyborg.
Franky's eyes gleamed at the thought of all the things he could make with such metal.
"Deal." Yup, he was in.
"Kairo, do you think he can build us a ship?" Chopper asked, not entirely convinced.
"Hell yeah, I can! And this ship will be..."
"SUPER!" Franky struck the pose again. It seemed like he had that word on command or something.
Oh well, not much else to add there.
After a while, the rest of the Straw Hats arrived. Luffy seemed ecstatic about the idea of a new ship—though Usopp definitely called dibs on first test shots.
The guy went crazy with the cannons, too. Given the amount of metal and wood Kairo provided—and the fact that thirty or so shadow clones were helping build the ship—it would still take a full month to finish.
Yes, a full month. Even with all that extra help.
For one, the ship was going to be massive.
And two, it would be fast as hell.
As for the fuel system, there were three options:
Electricity (powered by the Goro Goro no Mi, which Kairo still had),
Coal,
Or manual operation (someone running on a machine to power it).
And, of course, it could still sail normally—wind or rowing would do just fine. It just happened to have extra options.
Kairo also spent some time coating the ship, though the purpose for that would be revealed once they left the island.
Meanwhile—
Robin could be seen walking around the city. She was just about to buy some new clothes and maybe a few books. She liked reading.
With Chopper by her side, she strolled through the streets peacefully... until a masked man passed by her and whispered something in her ear.
She froze. The fear in her eyes was clear. She stood there for a moment... before turning and quietly following the man, as if he'd threatened to blow up her entire family.
Oh well, that didn't seem to matter much right now...
Because somewhere on a nearby rooftop, a figure was watching the whole scene.
"Well, that's one vermin down," the man said arrogantly. "Now... to get the other little fuck that's here."
The chopper away from the man sight would vanish....it was merely a clone.
Somewhere else.
Kairo brow furrow, he could sense it, his observation haki range was long enough for that, he felt them, and they werent even trying to hide the fact that they were kidnapping someone.
And they took Robin, or they were fucked if they thought he was finna let this shit slide.
Plus with his Chopper clone returning to him, he got the fresh memories.
A/N chapter 20 of my novel out please do check it out.
And for the freaky question of today.
Could a zoan get the animal they transform into pregnant.
Like could Kaku get a giraffe pregnant.
Or if I asked this one already
Would you rather be permanently stuck as a slave for the world nobles.
Or be hunted endlessly across the seas by both Marines and pirate like Blackbeard.
