Chapter 99 - Chapter 99 Xian Lin’er: Give Me Back My Stockings!

Chapter 99 Xian Lin'er: Give Me Back My Stockings!

"Alright, alright…"

Ye Chen nodded repeatedly and reached down to unfasten the garter clips at her thighs. With both hands, he grasped the edges of the stockings and began to peel them down slowly.

The silk stretched lightly under his fingers, conforming to the curve of her legs. As the fabric slid away, her smooth, pale skin emerged, bearing faint pink lace impressions where the garters had pressed.

First the left leg, then the right.

Within moments, the over‑knee stockings were gone.

Ye Chen folded them neatly and tucked them aside before gently lifting Xian Lin'er's delicate foot and lowering it into the basin of steaming water.

"Teacher, how's the temperature?" he asked while washing.

"Never mind the water temperature—where are my stockings?" Xian Lin'er asked softly, raising a sharp brow.

Ye Chen froze.

"What stockings? I have no idea what you mean," he said innocently.

"Mischievous," she sighed, giving him a sidelong glance but letting the matter drop.

He continued dutifully, dipping his hands in the warm water to bathe her feet—though, truthfully, the washing was mostly an excuse for his "massage."

After all, Xian Lin'er's body was already at a state of perfection—no trace of dust could cling to her. Even after minutes of rinsing, the water remained crystal clear.

If anything, the heat made her feet even softer to the touch.

Splash—

When Ye Chen judged the time right, he lifted both feet from the water and set them on his lap. He took a soft towel and began drying them carefully… perhaps too carefully.

Her feet were slender and finely shaped, the skin white as mutton jade, flawless and pure.

Her arches curved gracefully, her heels round and smooth. Her toes aligned perfectly, painted with a subtle crimson glaze—like maple flakes resting on the first fall of snow.

The pinkish hue along her soles added a touch of warmth, making these "jade feet" almost too perfect to be real.

"Completely clean, all natural, organic standard quality," Ye Chen murmured admiringly to himself.

"Admire all you want—but no tasting."

Xian Lin'er's voice carried a quiet warning, her toes curled just slightly.

She'd sensed exactly what he was thinking.

"Cough, Teacher, how could you think that? I'm not that kind of person."

Ye Chen feigned outrage but obediently set her feet back on the bed.

"Hmph, you'd better not be."

She gave him a playful glare before saying, "Turn around. I'm changing into my sleepwear—and you should too."

Sleeping required comfort, after all.

Normally, Xian Lin'er preferred to sleep without clothes, but since Ye Chen would be sharing the bed tonight, she reluctantly decided otherwise.

"Okay~"

Ye Chen turned his back politely.

Behind him came the soft rustle of fabric.

He was sorely tempted to glance over but restrained himself—she'd definitely smack him if he did.

Instead, he began changing into his own sleepwear without hesitation.

Though he avoided looking, her eyes hadn't left him.

The lean muscle traces beneath his shirt moved with effortless rhythm, well‑defined and powerful.

"This brat's figure… actually not bad at all," she thought, blushing as her throat grew oddly dry.

"All done. Let's rest."

Xian Lin'er finished dressing first and, without waiting for him, flicked off the lights.

When Ye Chen turned around, he caught a glimpse of her wearing a loose, thin strap‑nightdress before she slipped beneath the blanket.

"Sleep time~"

He grinned, lifted the quilt, and slid in beside her.

By the next morning, after breakfast, they set out once more toward the Extreme North.

Endless white stretched beneath a heavy sky.

Thick, gray‑white clouds hung low, merging with the vast snowfields below.

Biting winds, carrying ice and sleet, swept across the plain, scattering crystal snow like grains of salt in the air.

Far ahead, faint mountains glimmered under ancient layers of ice. Massive frozen spires jutted across the tundra, shifting the sunlight into prismatic shreds.

Everywhere was silent silver—no greenery, no life, only the muted roar of the wind.

Two figures, wrapped in fur coats, trudged through the blinding snow, nearly swallowed by the storm.

Suddenly—

Boom!

A sharp, thunderous roar split the frozen silence.

A silver aircraft cut through the snowstorm like a meteor, piercing straight into the tundra.

"Not bad, Xiao Chen. Your soul craft can handle this cold perfectly! That'll make finding soul beasts much easier."

Xian Lin'er smiled as she piloted the fighter.

Most ordinary soul tools couldn't function at such low temperatures, yet Ye Chen's machine didn't falter in the slightest.

"Mm‑hm. Teacher, take us a bit higher—better visibility from above," Ye Chen suggested.

The Extreme North spanned thousands of kilometers. With soul beasts spread so thin, searching on foot was futile.

An aerial view was far more efficient.

Even so, locating a suitable high‑level beast was far from easy.

Here, food was rare. Most soul beasts hibernated or cultivated in stillness to conserve strength, venturing out only when hunger struck.

After several minutes of flight and scanning dozens of kilometers below, they'd only spotted a handful of icy beasts, the strongest barely reaching the ten‑thousand‑year mark.

Ye Chen needed nothing less than seventy thousand years. Anything lower was worthless to him now.

His physique was extraordinary—fortified by Whale Glue's essence and his daily system bonuses. He was confident he could absorb any ring under the hundred‑thousand‑year threshold.

"Alright."

Xian Lin'er nodded and pulled the craft higher, climbing to three thousand meters before speeding toward the northern core.

She knew of the three great rulers of this land—legendary beasts of immense power.

But her own strength was more than enough to retreat safely even if encountered, so she wasn't worried.

With every kilometer deeper, the number and age of ice beasts increased. The weakest they passed were now over three thousand years old.

The harsher the cold, the stronger the lineage required to survive.

"Xiao Chen, look there—how about that thirty‑thousand‑year Ice Jade Scorpion?" Xian Lin'er pointed out a creature crawling across the frozen plain below.
