The dark heart of the Empire pulsed quietly beneath the towering spires of Coruscant. High above the endless cityscape, within a chamber carved from shadow and power, Darth Sidious sat unmoving upon his throne. The room was steeped in silence, broken only by the faint hum of machinery and the distant, ever-present roar of the city far below. Darkness coiled around him like a living thing, bending to his will, feeding his presence.
Before him, a massive holoscreen flickered to life.
It displayed the burning sands of Tatooine.
And most importantly—it displayed the figure who had dared to step into it.
The hooded man stood alone amidst Imperial forces, his red blade igniting with a sharp hiss that seemed to echo even through the projection itself. The glow of the weapon painted the sand in crimson, casting long shadows that danced like specters around him.
Palpatine's yellow eyes narrowed slightly.
"…At last."
His voice was soft, almost pleased, carrying a tone of quiet satisfaction layered with curiosity. For days—no, for weeks—reports had reached him. Whispers of a sith moving through the galaxy. Others believed it to be something far more dangerous.
Palpatine did not care for speculation.
He cared for certainty..
He leaned forward slightly, his fingers resting together as his gaze sharpened upon the projection.
"Show me."
The image clarified, sharpening every grain of sand, every flicker of movement. The hooded figure remained calm, unmoving, utterly unafraid despite the overwhelming Imperial presence surrounding him.
That alone drew a faint curl of amusement to Palpatine's lips.
"Bold."
A pause followed, brief but deliberate.
"Or foolish."
Perhaps both.
Unlike lesser men, Palpatine did not react to events—he orchestrated them. Every detail of this encounter had been meticulously prepared. Every variable considered. Every possible outcome calculated long before the first soldier had set foot on Tatooine.
His first attempt had failed.
He had sent Darth Vader to circle the remains of the destroyed Imperial convoy, to linger in the shadows like a predator and draw the intruder out. But the mysterious figure had not appeared.
Palpatine's fingers tapped lightly against the armrest of his throne.
"Cautious."
That made him dangerous.
And anything dangerous was something Palpatine preferred to eliminate quickly.
So he had changed his strategy.
If the hunter would not come to the trap—
Then the trap itself would become irresistible.
His gaze shifted briefly to another feed. Wilhuff Tarkin walked calmly through the Imperial encampment, his posture composed, his presence commanding as always.
Palpatine's lips curved into a faint, knowing smile.
"A willing piece."
Tarkin understood his role perfectly. His influence, his reputation, and the fear he inspired made him invaluable—not just as a leader, but as bait. His death would not be quiet. It would echo across the galaxy, shaking the very perception of Imperial strength.
And more importantly—
It would draw out the kind of enemy Palpatine sought.
"He could not ignore this."
And indeed, he had not.
Just as predicted.
Palpatine's eyes flicked briefly to another reading—one that did not appear on the main display. A presence lingered in the shadows of Tatooine, hidden from all but him.
Darth Vader.
Patient and silent, exactly where he had been placed.
Palpatine's expression hardened slightly.
"Do not fail me… again."
There was no fear in his tone. There never was. But beneath it lingered calculation. Vader had grown strong—perhaps too strong. There were thoughts he did not share, ambitions he did not voice. Palpatine had felt it, subtle but undeniable.
This confrontation would test more than just the mysterious intruder.
It would test Vader.
And if Vader failed—
Palpatine's gaze returned to the hooded figure on the screen.
"…Then perhaps…"
He leaned forward, interest sharpening.
"…a replacement will present himself."
The holoscreen shifted again, splitting into multiple angles. Hidden cameras across the encampment captured every movement, every subtle shift in stance, every flicker of energy. The two Inquisitors moved into position—First Brother and Eighth Sister—stepping forward with the confidence of those who believed themselves significant.
They were not.
They were tools.
Disposable.
Their purpose was simple: to engage, to distract, to create the illusion of resistance.
The true strike remained unseen.
Palpatine's voice dropped to a whisper.
"Attack."
His fingers tightened slightly against the armrest.
"Show me your power."
On the screen, the hooded figure stepped forward.
This was no ordinary opponent. Not a fallen Jedi consumed by rage. Not a Sith forged in ambition and hatred. This was something else entirely—something disciplined, something dangerous in ways that defied easy understanding.
For the first time, genuine curiosity flickered within him.
"What are you?"
The trap had been laid with perfection. Every piece was in place. Every outcome calculated.
Below, on the sands of Tatooine, the confrontation was about to begin. Tension coiled in the air like a drawn blade, ready to strike.
And high above, within the shadows of Coruscant, the Emperor watched.
The desert fell silent for half a heartbeat, as though even the winds of Tatooine hesitated in the presence of what was about to unfold. Heat shimmered across the endless dunes, distorting the figures gathered there—Imperial soldiers, war machines, and at the center of it all, a single hooded man whose crimson blade hummed softly in the oppressive stillness.
Then—
War erupted.
The moment the hooded figure stepped forward, something shifted across the battlefield. It was not an order, nor a signal, but an instinct—raw and undeniable—that spread through every soldier and machine alike.
This was not a normal enemy.
The two Inquisitors moved almost instantly, their training taking over before conscious thought could catch up. The First Brother tightened his grip on his spinning saber, his stance lowering as he measured the distance between them. The Eighth Sister shifted to the side, angling herself to flank, her movements sharp and deliberate.
But neither of them struck.
They watched.
Because even they—hardened hunters of Jedi and survivors of countless battles—could feel it.
That presence.
It pressed against them, unseen but suffocating, something that did not behave like the Force they had been taught to wield.
And for the briefest moment—
Even they hesitated.
The droids did not.
From all directions, mechanical units surged forward in perfect synchronization, their photoreceptors locking onto the lone figure as blasters ignited in unison. At the same time, clone troopers stationed along the perimeter opened fire, their formation tightening as waves of red bolts cut through the heated air.
"Fire!"
"Suppress him!"
Blaster fire rained down relentlessly, turning the battlefield into a storm of crimson light.
Harry did not move.
He stood there, still as stone, the glow of his saber reflecting faintly off the shifting sands.
Then—
He raised his hand.
The world broke.
An invisible force exploded outward from him in a devastating shockwave, ripping through the battlefield with overwhelming power. The ground cracked beneath the pressure as droids were hurled into the air, their metal frames twisting and tearing apart mid-flight. Troopers were thrown back violently, their formations collapsing in an instant as bodies slammed into the sand with bone-jarring force.
"—AAAGH!"
The scream was lost beneath the chaos.
Debris flew in every direction, the once-ordered battlefield dissolving into disorder in less than a second.
And then—
Harry moved.
His lightsaber flashed like a streak of crimson lightning, cutting through the storm of blaster fire with impossible precision. Bolts that should have struck him vanished, redirected with casual efficiency, some returned to their senders before they even realized what had happened.
A droid lunged toward him, its limbs extended in attack—only to be split cleanly in half before it could make contact. A trooper raised his blaster, finger tightening on the trigger—
He never fired.
An unseen force ripped the weapon from his hands and hurled him aside like a ragdoll.
Metal screamed as entire units were crushed mid-air, invisible pressure folding them inward before dropping their shattered remains into the sand. The battlefield dissolved into chaos, every attempt at coordination breaking under the sheer violence of his movements.
"He's everywhere—!" one trooper shouted, his voice cracking with panic.
Another screamed as he was lifted from the ground and thrown into a stack of supply crates, the impact echoing across the field.
"Fall back!"
But there was nowhere to retreat.
Because the enemy was no longer at the edge of their lines.
He was inside them.
The Inquisitors moved as one.
Their sabers ignited with a sharp, synchronized snap-hiss, twin crimson arcs cutting through the swirling dust as they charged forward.
"Enough!" the First Brother roared.
Their attack was immediate.
Relentless.
Coordinated.
Harry turned to face them, and for the first time, there was something subtle in his stance—something almost like interest.
Their blades collided in a violent clash, sparks erupting as steel met energy. The Eighth Sister struck from the side, her blade angled to slip past his guard—
Blocked.
The First Brother followed with a heavy overhead strike—
Countered effortlessly.
Each movement faster than the last.
Each response sharper.
The Inquisitors pressed harder, their attacks growing more aggressive as they attempted to overwhelm him, to force an opening through sheer pressure.
But there was none.
Harry's free hand lifted slightly.
The ground trembled.
Fragments of destroyed droids, shattered weapons, and broken machinery rose into the air, suspended for a single, suspended heartbeat.
Then—
They launched.
A storm of steel tore across the battlefield, forcing the Inquisitors to break formation instantly. Their sabers spun and struck, deflecting what they could while dodging the rest.
Behind them, the troopers were not as fortunate.
The barrage tore through their ranks, scattering them once more.
Above, the roar of engines split the chaos as an Imperial gunship descended into position, its weapons charging with a rising hum.
"Target locked!"
A beam of concentrated energy fired toward Harry.
He did not dodge.
He reached down.
A severed piece of droid metal floated past him, caught effortlessly in his grasp.
Then—
He threw it.
Halfway through its flight, the object changed.
Metal warped unnaturally, expanding, twisting, growing far beyond its original size as though reality itself bent to his will. What had been scrap became a massive projectile hurtling through the air with unstoppable force.
"What the—?!" the pilot shouted.
Impact came a heartbeat later.
The gunship was pierced clean through, erupting into a violent explosion that tore it apart mid-air, flaming debris raining down across the battlefield.
For a fraction of a second—
Everything stopped.
No one understood what they had just witnessed.
Even from the shadows, Darth Vader watched in silence. His mechanical breathing remained steady, controlled, but beneath that mask, something stirred—recognition, curiosity… and something darker.
Below, the battle resumed.
The Inquisitors attacked again, desperation now bleeding into their movements.
"You're not Sith," the Eighth Sister hissed.
Harry did not respond.
He moved faster.
The First Brother lunged forward with a heavy strike—
Harry twisted, his hand flicking upward—
And the Inquisitor was slammed into the sand by an overwhelming invisible force, the impact sending dust and shockwaves rippling outward.
The Eighth Sister followed—
Only to be thrown aside moments later, her body skidding across the ground.
Both struggled to rise.
Both failed.
And then—
The air shifted.
Harry felt it before he saw it.
From the shadows, a figure stepped forward, dark and towering, his very presence forcing the battlefield into stillness.
Darth Vader.
He raised his hand.
The First Brother and the Eighth Sister were lifted into the air instantly, their bodies freezing mid-motion as an invisible grip crushed around them.
"—Lord Vader—!" they choked.
They struggled.
"You have failed."
The words were quiet.
Absolute.
Their sabers slipped from their hands, clattering uselessly into the sand as their bodies trembled under the crushing pressure.
Around them, the battlefield lay in ruin—droids destroyed, troopers scattered, the sands scarred by the violence that had unfolded.
Only two figures remained standing.
Harry.
And Vader.
The distance between them seemed to shrink, the rest of the world fading into irrelevance.
Vader's voice echoed through his mask.
"You are strong."
A pause.
"And reckless."
Harry tilted his head slightly, his posture calm, unshaken.
Vader stepped forward, each movement deliberate, heavy with power.
"Show me…"
His lightsaber ignited, a deep crimson glow cutting through the dust.
"…what you truly are."
