Chapter 128 – First Meeting with Tang Hao

"What are you thinking! Those old men wouldn't lurk around just to spy on our date!"

Ning Rongrong glanced out the window but secretly thought, Grandpa Bone is definitely out there.

Dugu Feng, of course, knew it too.

Ning Fengzhi might have publicly encouraged him to get closer to his daughter, but he would never allow things to go too far between them yet.

Even if Ning Fengzhi believed Dugu Feng could one day overcome the martial soul defect, he certainly didn't believe that day had already come.

Dugu Feng was able to suppress the poison within him mainly because of his external spirit bone.

At this point, he was something like a tool soul master—his external spirit bone acted as his weapon soul.

Every time he used poison attacks, he would draw the toxins back into that spirit bone afterward, preventing them from corroding his body.

But Bone Douluo, Sword Douluo, and those other old foxes didn't know that.

Wait a moment.

Why not have a little fun?

A faint gleam flashed between Dugu Feng's brows.

Purple, green, gray, and blue light shimmered briefly.

An invisible ripple spread outward—his Four-Color Mixed Poison.

One of its special qualities was that it could block spiritual perception, because any spiritual energy that probed near it would be instantly corroded by the toxins.

Unless someone was willing to attack him openly, no one would dare to investigate through it.

If any of those old men were out there spying, once they lost track of Ning Rongrong's presence, he would like to see how they reacted.

Ning Rongrong herself couldn't sense Dugu Feng's Four-Color Mixed Poison.

She only felt that the aura around him grew deeper and more mysterious.

But the next instant, a tall, gaunt figure—over two meters in height—appeared outside the window, sneaking around clumsily.

His face was thin as bone, eye sockets sunken, expression shrewd and cunning.

Peeking through the glass, he instantly spotted Dugu Feng and Ning Rongrong in each other's arms.

Their eyes met.

Bone Douluo immediately reacted and coughed awkwardly. "Rongrong! So this is where you are. I heard there's some unrest in Soto City lately, so I came to check on you. Took me forever to find you!"

He waved his hands, releasing his spirit power to slide the window open, and his tall body squeezed into the room.

Dugu Feng silently sighed—exactly as expected.

"Grandpa Bone, you—"

Ning Rongrong turned, exasperated.

She had just said Grandpa Bone wouldn't be here—and there he was.

"Greetings, Your Majesty," Dugu Feng said calmly.

A small trick, and indeed, it flushed out Bone Douluo.

"Not bad, boy," Bone Douluo said with a lofty tone while cursing inwardly.

This cunning brat had clearly done it on purpose!

And Rongrong—just a moment ago, she'd told Dugu Feng about the Dugu Clan's martial soul defect and even said he'd been the one to reveal it.

Ungrateful girl—found a boyfriend and forgot her grandpa!

"Thank you for your praise, Your Majesty."

"Right, Haotian Douluo is currently just outside Soto City. Rongrong, Dugu Feng, you two should come with me to meet him!"

Bone Douluo quickly invented an excuse.

He had come to Soto City following Dugu Feng's entourage, but as soon as he arrived, Tang Hao had found him.

They'd already met—Tang Hao told him that he was here to protect his son Tang San.

Bone Douluo hadn't thought much of it and even asked Tang Hao to help watch over Ning Rongrong as well.

In truth, Tang Hao's purpose was to protect Xiao Wu, and it was that which had stopped Bone Douluo.

"Haotian Douluo is Third Brother's father, right? He once fought the Pope of the Spirit Hall to a draw.

My father told me he also commands the Killing God Domain.

Last time, the Pope Bibi Dong invited you to Spirit City to teach her cultivation methods for that domain.

But if Haotian Douluo is around, why bother with her?

Meeting him today would be a perfect chance to learn about advancing the Killing God Domain!"

Ning Rongrong agreed immediately.

Between the Haotian Sect and the Spirit Hall, there was no doubt—the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan was far closer to the former.

The Spirit Hall was a declared enemy.

She actually had a decent impression of Tang Hao.

Dugu Feng hesitated briefly, then put on an excited expression. "Haotian Douluo is an idol for our younger generation. Can we really meet him?"

The thought of learning cultivation techniques for the Killing God Domain from Tang Hao thrilled him.

As for the external spirit bone and the Blue Silver Emperor's right leg bone—he had already completely fused them.

With his Four-Color Mixed Poison concealing his presence, no one could detect anything unless Tang Hao deliberately probed his body with spiritual force.

Otherwise, he was perfectly safe.

Bone Douluo winced inwardly—he had just wanted a convenient excuse, but Ning Rongrong was honestly concerned about Dugu Feng's growth.

Ah, girls couldn't be kept close forever!

"Since you're both interested, I'll take you to meet Haotian Douluo," Bone Douluo said and strode out of the room.

Ning Rongrong and Dugu Feng followed.

The three left the Great Spirit Arena and soon arrived at a teahouse, a small three-story building.

Bone Douluo led them to a private room on the top floor.

"I've already sent word to Haotian Douluo. Let's wait here for him."

He took the main seat and gestured for Ning Rongrong and Dugu Feng to sit.

Ning Rongrong poured three cups of tea and placed them gently in front of each of them.

"Grandpa Bone, you have to make sure Haotian Douluo gives Dugu Feng some good guidance later!" she said sweetly, clinging to his arm.

"Don't worry," Bone Douluo sighed, taking a sip of his tea.

A short while later, heavy footsteps sounded outside.

The door opened.

A middle-aged man in a gray-white robe stepped inside.

"Your Majesty Haotian, please," Bone Douluo said respectfully.

"Greetings, Your Majesty Haotian!"

Tang Hao's slightly drunken gaze swept across Ning Rongrong and Dugu Feng.

His eyes were dull and tired, his body carrying the scent of alcohol.

He nodded slightly and sat down.

"You're the third person I've met who possesses the Killing God Domain," he said to Dugu Feng. "And you must have obtained it at the youngest age of all."

Tang Hao's voice was calm, but deep inside, he felt the same astonishment Bibi Dong once did—this youth was monstrous.

He remembered vividly what it took to gain the domain: countless brushes with death, countless battles against overwhelming odds, and finally a hundred victories.

How had this young man surpassed so many Spirit Saints and Spirit Douluo to achieve it?

"Your Majesty overpraises me," Dugu Feng replied modestly. "My method was a bit unconventional.

In the City of Slaughter, earning a victory each year allowed one to live in the inner city filled with countless fugitives.

Using my Jade Phosphor Scarlet Poison, I provoked over a thousand of them to fight each other, then ambushed and slew more than fifty strong opponents at once.

That's how I reached a hundred victories."

Tang Hao was stunned. "It can be done that way?"

So Dugu Feng had achieved his hundred victories through cunning rather than sheer strength.

Tang Hao shook his head, chuckling. For someone who had entered the City of Slaughter as a mere Spirit Grandmaster, perhaps this was the only way.

"Your mastery over poison is remarkable," Bone Douluo sighed. "Truly on par with your father's."

They were indeed cut from the same mold—cunning and dangerous.

Whether Ning Rongrong and Dugu Feng together would be a blessing or a curse, Bone Douluo wasn't sure.

Then he recalled Ning Fengzhi's words—to trust the young ones and how they would guide Rongrong forward.
