Chapter 66 - chapter 65 : Congratulations, Raizen. You're a shinobi now."

As she explained, she observed Raizen's reactions.

She had already prepared herself to guide him for a long time.

This exercise was notoriously difficult. Most genin needed several hours just to grasp the basics.

Those with poor aptitude might take days....or even months.

The Detoxification Technique worked on the same principle: separating toxins from the body. It was invaluable on missions when someone was poisoned or bitten by a venomous snake.

If you couldn't master this, becoming a medical ninja was nearly impossible.

Having innate Yang Release affinity only meant learning medical ninjutsu would be easier and require less time to adapt to the nature transformation.

But mastering medical ninjutsu ultimately came down to fine chakra control.

That was why medical ninjutsu was far more difficult than other types, and why medical ninja were so rare.

Raizen listened carefully to Nonou's explanation while focusing on separating the liquids.

The [Gifted Top Student (Green)] entry increased his learning speed by 20%.

Moreover, the [Solid Foundation (Green)] entry not only boosted his chakra reserves but also acknowledged his mastery of the three basic techniques, tree climbing, and water walking.

Less than a minute later—while Nonou was still explaining...Raizen's hands trembled slightly.

But inside the glass, the liquid began to change.

The muddy brown coffee and tangled white milk started separating. The two colors gradually parted.

The murky mixture clarified. Coffee rose to the top layer, while milk settled at the bottom. The division was clean and distinct.

"Impossible…"

Nonou blinked, almost doubting her own eyes.

She unconsciously leaned forward, the front of her white coat tightening slightly.

She had personally guided many trainees through this exercise.

Even those with natural talent for medical ninjutsu usually failed on their first try—or at best managed only a faint, blurry boundary.

Yet this boy, who had only just become a genin, had achieved near-perfect separation in mere seconds.

Her lips parted as if to speak, but no words came.

A flood of thoughts raced through her mind. For a brief moment, she even wondered if Raizen had secretly practiced similar control exercises before.

But his focused yet slightly childish expression made it clear this was his first time.

And no one could fool her with pretense.

Raizen looked up at her and said brightly,

"Teacher Nonou, I did it!"

"Mm."

Nonou gave a small nod.

Suddenly, a desire to nurture him welled up inside her.

Perhaps, before she left, she could leave a mark on Konoha.

Every medical ninja was a rare and valuable asset.

Training one wasn't easy.

Otherwise, the village would have long since assigned a medical ninja to every three-man team.

The fire pit in the center was lit, casting orange flames that illuminated the entire chamber. Flickering shadows danced across the stone walls.

Uchiha Yashiro, standing near the door, waited until nearly everyone had arrived before stepping forward and pushing the heavy stone door shut with a low boom.

The chamber was now completely sealed from the outside world.

The firelight became the only source of illumination, casting shadows across every face.

Raizen, newly promoted to genin, sat at the very back. He could feel countless gazes turning toward him.

Some were curious, some disdainful, others carried faint appreciation or expectation.

Among them, the scarlet Sharingan gleamed especially brightly in the dim light, cold and piercing.

Of course, there was also surprise.

Uchiha Uzuki, a chūnin, sat in the middle-back row.

Her eyes widened. She still couldn't believe that Raizen...who had only recently come to collect ninjutsu scrolls..

had already graduated?

Uchiha Uzuki wondered if she should approach him and exchange a few words to smooth things over.

After all, her attitude toward him last time hadn't exactly been kind.

If Raizen pretended to be fine on the surface but held a grudge in private, that would be trouble.

She didn't believe a genius like him would remain a genin forever!

"Congratulations, Raizen. You're a shinobi now."

After hesitating, Uchiha Uzuki stood up, intending to walk over to him.

But Raizen merely gave a faint nod

completely different from the warm, innocent smile he had shown her before.

This reaction caught Uchiha Uzuki off guard.

"Raizen, you…"

She started to ask if he was still upset about last time.

"Uzuki, Fugaku is about to speak."

Uchiha Mikoto, a jōnin seated near the front, turned and spoke to Uzuki, who was still standing.

"Alright."

Uchiha Uzuki had no choice but to sit back down.

She began wondering if Raizen's earlier demeanor had been an act to trick her.

The reactions among the clan members varied.

Uchiha Fugaku sat opposite everyone, arms crossed. The Uchiha crest on his shoulders gleamed in the firelight.

He cleared his throat lightly, silencing the low murmurs.
