Before placing David's two pieces of equipment onto the Balance of Fairness, Ethan first checked their attributes.
[Willow-Leaf Saber: As slender as a willow leaf, as fierce as a saber. Attack +30%, Agility +10%]
[Magic Wand: Just an ordinary magic wand. Magic Attack +20%]
The Willow-Leaf Saber was decent enough.
But the Magic Wand's stats were just too terrible.
Ethan couldn't help laughing. He suddenly remembered that when he killed the Rat King, he'd obtained a Spell Scepter. He immediately took it out and checked it.
[Spell Scepter: Increases spell casting success rate and reduces casting time. A decent beginner's staff. Spell Casting Success Rate +20%, Casting Time -3s]
Compared to an ordinary Magic Wand, this Spell Scepter was actually pretty good.
But Ethan now had an Instant Cast Wand, so reduced casting time and spell success rate meant nothing to him. It wasn't even worthy of being fused with his collection of valuable wands.
After thinking it over, Ethan decided to use the Spell Scepter to test what happened when fusing two items of the same type.
If the result was good, then he could fuse several of his different wands together.
The first fusion.
[Magic Wand + Spell Scepter]
The other side of the Balance of Fairness immediately displayed the required materials.
[10 Spirit Stones + 2 Enchanted Ore]
"That's pretty expensive."
But considering the five thousand units of salt and five thousand Boom Boom Mushrooms, Ethan still took out 20 Spirit Stones and 4 Enchanted Ore and used them all in the fusion.
Double the offering for peace of mind.
Then, once the Balance of Fairness reached equilibrium and started releasing electricity, Ethan quickly stepped out of the Fusion Tempering Furnace.
Soon, the furnace door closed, and the temperature began to rise.
Perhaps because the materials were simple, the fusion was completed very quickly. After only about ten seconds, the furnace door opened again.
The temperature inside was extremely high, but with Ethan's current defenses, he naturally wasn't worried about getting burned.
When he stepped into the glowing red interior of the Fusion Tempering Furnace, the materials on the Balance of Fairness had already disappeared.
Only a magic wand remained, shimmering with an iridescent black glow.
At first glance, it looked like black iron.
But on closer inspection, tiny golden specks sparkled within the black surface. It was actually quite beautiful.
In any case, it looked much better than the plain Harry Potter-style wooden stick that David had originally sent him.
[Magic Scepter: A mid-grade magic wand of fairly good quality. Magic Attack +50%, Spell Casting Success Rate +30%, Casting Time -3s]
The attributes of the two wands had merged together, and they'd even improved slightly.
'Not bad!'
Next, it was time to combine this Magic Scepter with the Willow-Leaf Saber and see what the result would be.
Even though they weren't his own weapons, Ethan still felt a little nervous.
After all, this was his first attempt at fusing different types of weapons.
Who knew if it would fail?
Or, whether the final result would be disappointing.
But he had to try.
The second fusion.
[Willow-Leaf Saber + Magic Scepter]
[Required Materials: 20 Spirit Stones + 1 Enchanted Ore]
The number of Spirit Stones had doubled, but the Enchanted Ore had been cut in half. Why?
After thinking for a moment, Ethan came to a rough conclusion.
It was probably because of the materials themselves.
Magical equipment required Enchanted Ore to fuse, while physical weapons only needed Spirit Stones.
Different equipment also required different amounts of materials.
So, this time there was one less wand involved, so only one piece of Enchanted Ore was needed. But because the Willow-Leaf Saber had relatively high attack power, and the fused wand had also advanced from beginner to mid-grade, it naturally required more energy than before.
As usual, he doubled the materials.
This time, however, the fusion took thirty seconds instead of ten.
The instant the Fusion Tempering Furnace door opened, Ethan rushed inside.
On the Balance of Fairness, the original materials and equipment had disappeared.
In their place was a very strange-looking blade.
The blade was long and slender, less than five centimeters wide. The material looked somewhat similar to that of the wand, but the edge gleamed with a sharp, cold light.
The tip slanted upward, resembling the point of a utility knife.
Overall, the design looked quite good.
It also felt good in the hand.
[Magic Saber: A special hybrid weapon capable of both casting magic and cutting down enemies! Attack +50%, Agility +5%, Magic Attack +50%, Spell Casting Success Rate +30%, Casting Time -3s]
Its attack had increased.
Its agility bonus had been cut in half.
The wand's attributes remained unchanged.
But overall... It had become much stronger.
Of course, the most important thing was that the fusion had succeeded.
It greatly boosted Ethan's confidence in fusing all of his own weapons together.
