The instant Axel's words fell, the white lights that had just shot out immediately transformed into three dragon-type Pokémon.
The pure white dragon Reshiram threw back its head and let out a long cry, blue flames rising into a pillar that seemed to burn the heavens.
Zekrom's tail engine burst with flashing lightning, appearing violently at Reshiram's side, its body crackling with terrifying electricity.
The moment Kyurem appeared, a savage aura spread across the sky and earth. Its freezing breath instantly sealed off large areas in ice, turning the entire tower into a land of snow.
The three legendary dragons representing the power of the Original Dragon of the Unova region instantly formed an indestructible Dragon-type barrier.
Blue flames, thunder strikes, Glaciate, Dragon Pulse, the raging moves met the incoming beast tide like a giant meat grinder.
Flames incinerated, lightning tore through, ice froze everything! The Ultra Beasts charging at the very front were instantly cleared out in a wide swath, dropping to the ground one after another like dumplings tossed into boiling water.
"Rayquaza, tear open a path!", Axel issued another command.
"Roar!", Rayquaza answered with a long cry. Its black dragon body burst with dazzling brilliance, and as it charged toward the Ultra Beasts, it began to spiral and dance rapidly within the narrow space at the top of the tower, moving at a speed beyond visual limits.
With every rotation, the dragon aura around it surged higher, its speed increasing even more.
Dragon Dance to the extreme.
It was like a streak of black lightning weaving through an energy storm. Wherever it passed, violent air currents formed tornadoes, ruthlessly flinging and shredding the approaching Ultra Beasts.
In less than ten seconds, it forcibly carved out a passage through the beast tide leading straight to Necrozma's true body.
"Groudon! Precipice Blades!", Axel pointed at the exposed Colress Machine, his thoughts transmitted directly into Groudon's mind through the crimson orb.
"ROAR!"
A world-shaking roar erupted from outside the tower. Groudon, long prepared, raised its massive claw covered in molten armor toward the sky once more as the power of the earth gathered wildly.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Several gigantic stone pillars burning with magma energy, like towering mountains, shattered through the alloy structure at the top of the tower.
With the force to destroy the world, they smashed down from different angles toward the Colress control device glowing dark blue behind Necrozma.
The target was clear, physical destruction.
"Roar!", Pain flashed in Necrozma's eyes.
Under the control of the Colress Machine, it let out another miserable roar. Countless red beams surged from its prism-like body, colliding head-on with Groudon's Precipice Blades.
———
While the two titanic forces clashed, at the entrance of the tower, Solgaleo and Dawn, who had just arrived, stared blankly at the wildly surging energy around Groudon.
"W-What is this…", Dawn rubbed his eyes hard, looking up at Groudon, who was as massive as a mountain range.
After sensing the violent energy from Primal Groudon, he felt an ache he couldn't quite describe.
It felt like hearing your son was getting bullied at school, so you rushed over with your Pokémon to demand an explanation.
Then when you got there, you found out your son was the actual bully.
Who could bully him? He'd even beaten up the other kid's parents.
Still, compared to Solgaleo, Dawn's reaction was much better.
At least Dawn had a father-son relationship with Axel. Of course he only hoped his son would become stronger.
But for Solgaleo, seeing this scene left it completely stunned.
It had never left Ultra Space and was still a relatively young deity, but it possessed inherited memories.
It could understand Rayquaza listening to Axel. After all, Rayquaza was essentially a guardian god.
Whether in the atmosphere or over a nation, it had always played the role of protecting the planet.
But what it couldn't understand was why this Groudon was so obedient.
And so powerful.
That one strike nearly split Necrozma's head apart.
What was even more outrageous was that Solgaleo could clearly see that many of the Pokémon around Axel hadn't even made a move yet.
Even the three dragons hadn't gone all out.
No wonder this guy dared to come alone to Ultra Megalopolis.
Compared to Axel and his Pokémon, Solgaleo's past resistance against Necrozma had been nothing more than child's play.
It wasn't until Dawn patted Solgaleo on the shoulder that it snapped out of the shock brought by Groudon.
"Should we go up and stop those Ultra Beasts?"
Solgaleo pondered for a moment and gently shook its head, ["Your son and Necrozma look evenly matched, but in reality he's already completely crushing Necrozma."]
["As long as Necrozma doesn't unlock its Radiant form, this battle is doomed to be a loss."]
["If I go up now, I'll only increase that guy's chance of turning the tables."]
Dawn nodded lightly, instantly understanding Solgaleo's thinking.
As old partners, he knew Solgaleo wasn't the type to avoid trouble.
Not going up now was simply because it was afraid Necrozma would seize the opportunity to devour it, causing trouble for his son.
"Then should we clear out these Ultra Beasts?"
["Emmm,"] Solgaleo pondered again, then finally shook its head.
["Necrozma will definitely be subdued by your son now. Ultra Space will welcome a new order."]
["Before that… perhaps they should witness the birth of a new king."]
["Let them feel the new king's power and abandon this current fence-sitting way of life. Only then will Ultra Space truly become united."]
"That makes sense," Dawn nodded softly. As an archaeologist, he had a clear understanding of history and fully understood the flaws of these Ultra Beasts.
Their wavering nature reduced casualties, but it also increased uncertainty.
Subduing Necrozma was not the end. Helping Necrozma find the light again, or allowing the Sun and Moon deities to continue growing until their radiance could cover all of Ultra Space, that was the ultimate goal.
That process would definitely be long and couldn't tolerate any uncertainty.
"Then what should we do now?"
Solgaleo didn't hesitate. It gently raised a paw and lifted Dawn onto its shoulder.
["Of course we're going to find Lunala, and then properly teach the Ultra Recon Squad and the other Ultra Beasts on their side a lesson."]
["When the time comes… they can welcome the new king together!"]
