Chapter 87 - Chapter 87 — The Sea of Life and Rebirth

Three months passed.

For the first time since the war against the Eldritch Generals—

There was peace.

Not true peace.

The Primordials had merely stopped advancing, reorganizing their endless armies beyond Yogaroth's universes.

Humanity used every moment wisely.

The five Legends continued refining their newly awakened powers.

The Angels of Creation repaired the damaged dimensional framework of the Outer Sea.

Secretary and Haru studied the corruption left behind by the Eldritch Gods, searching for weaknesses.

Liam drilled the Abyss Army relentlessly, while Baruka trained alongside Brute, Riku, and Riyomi until every commander had become vastly stronger than before.

But Jinyoung...

Had disappeared.

A Familiar Shore

At the edge of existence lay a place untouched by war.

A sea unlike any other.

Its waters shimmered with silver and pale blue light, stretching farther than sight itself.

Every ripple carried memories.

Every wave carried souls.

This was the Sea of Life and Rebirth.

The place where the essence of every Monarch eventually returned after death.

Jinyoung stood quietly at its shore.

The Abyss remained silent behind him.

He had not come seeking power.

He had come seeking answers.

"I've returned."

The sea answered with a gentle wave.

Echoes of the Fallen

The waters began glowing brighter.

One by one, translucent figures rose from the sea.

Not alive.

Not resurrected.

Only echoes preserved within the cycle of life and rebirth.

The first was a towering warrior wrapped in white frost.

Sillad.

The former Monarch of Frost.

Beside him appeared a beast-like king whose golden eyes still carried overwhelming instinct.

Rakan.

The Monarch of Beastly Instinct.

Soon after came Baran, the original Demon King, surrounded by silent black flames.

Then Kaelor, Lord of Storms.

Then the Blood Monarch.

And finally—

Farther away—

A crimson silhouette stood with folded arms.

Antares.

The Dragon Monarch.

None of them spoke immediately.

Antares Smiles

It was Antares who finally broke the silence.

A faint smile appeared across his face.

"You survived."

Jinyoung smiled back.

"Barely."

Antares laughed.

The sound echoed across the endless sea.

"Good."

He looked carefully at Jinyoung's aura.

Then nodded approvingly.

"You've finally stepped beyond my era."

The other Monarchs remained silent.

Not from resentment.

From acceptance.

The age of Monarchs had ended.

A new age had begun.

The Lord of Frost

Sillad stepped forward.

The cold around him froze even the spiritual waters.

"Your Abyss has changed."

Jinyoung nodded.

"Stage Five."

Sillad closed his eyes briefly.

"Even I cannot fully understand it anymore."

The former Monarch of Frost smiled faintly.

"That is reassuring."

The Beast King's Advice

Rakan crossed his arms.

"Your strength isn't what concerns me."

Jinyoung looked toward him.

"Then what?"

Rakan's golden eyes narrowed.

"Leadership."

The sea became quiet again.

"Power gathers followers."

He pointed toward the distant horizon.

"Soon you'll carry more than humanity."

"You'll carry civilizations."

Jinyoung listened carefully.

Rakan continued,

"Never forget why they follow you."

Baran's Observation

The Demon King looked amused.

"You still fight like a hunter."

Jinyoung blinked.

Baran chuckled.

"Good."

Dark flames flickered around him.

"Kings who forget how ordinary people struggle eventually stop being worthy of following."

Jinyoung nodded slowly.

He understood.

Kaelor Speaks

The Lord of Storms looked toward the endless horizon.

"The Primordials won't stop."

His storms crackled softly.

"They're patient."

He turned back toward Jinyoung.

"Longer than universes."

Jinyoung answered calmly.

"Then I'll become stronger before they move again."

Kaelor smiled.

"Exactly what I expected."

Antares' Final Lesson

Finally—

Antares walked beside Jinyoung.

The former Dragon Monarch looked out across the sea.

"When we fought..."

He laughed quietly.

"I thought power decided everything."

He shook his head.

"I was wrong."

Jinyoung remained silent.

Antares continued.

"Power gives victory."

He looked toward Earth, visible as a tiny blue light beyond the Sea.

"Purpose gives meaning."

The crimson dragon closed his eyes.

"That's why you won."

A Gift from the Fallen

The Monarchs stood together.

One by one—

Their remaining spiritual essence began gathering into a single sphere of light.

Jinyoung frowned.

"What are you doing?"

Baran smiled.

"Our era is over."

Sillad nodded.

"The future belongs to you."

Antares stepped forward last.

"Take this."

The sphere floated toward Jinyoung.

It wasn't power.

It wasn't mana.

It was experience.

The memories of countless battles.

Thousands of years of wisdom.

Every lesson the Monarchs had learned through endless war.

Jinyoung accepted it quietly.

The light disappeared into the Abyss.

Farewell

The Sea of Life and Rebirth became calm once again.

The Monarchs' echoes began fading.

Antares looked back one final time.

"Don't disappoint us."

Jinyoung smiled.

"I won't."

Rakan laughed.

Kaelor saluted.

Baran gave a final nod.

Sillad simply closed his eyes peacefully.

One after another—

They dissolved into the Sea.

Not gone forever.

Simply becoming part of the eternal cycle once more.

A New Journey

Jinyoung stood alone at the shore.

The Abyss behind him had become calmer.

Not stronger.

Wiser.

He looked toward the endless horizon beyond Yogaroth's creations.

Beyond the Outer Sea.

Beyond even the Primordials.

He knew what came next.

He would begin traveling through Yogaroth's countless universes.

Not as a conqueror.

But as a unifier.

To gather every surviving civilization.

Every remaining ally.

Every fragment of hope.

Because when the Primordials returned—

Humanity would not stand alone.

Jinyoung took one final look at the Sea of Life and Rebirth.

Then stepped into a dimensional gate.

His next destination—

The first of Yogaroth's infinite universes.

And the beginning of an even greater journey.
