Chapter 84 - Chapter 84 — Evolution Through War

The outer sea had become a graveyard of universes.

Collapsed realities drifted endlessly through fractured dimensional space while corruption and creation authority clashed across infinite battlefields simultaneously.

And worst of all—

The enemy was adapting.

Every second.

Every battle.

Every death.

The Eldritch armies were evolving through conflict exactly like the Abyss Army.

The Realization

Secretary's runes spun violently around him.

Battle projections updated continuously.

Each update worsened the situation.

"Evolution rate increasing exponentially."

The Flame Legend blasted apart another swarm of corrupted creatures before shouting:

"Can't you say something positive for once?!"

Secretary remained calm.

"Positive outcome unavailable."

Silence.

Then another projection appeared.

Eldritch soldiers that previously died to mana attacks were now developing resistance.

Void-resistant variants were emerging.

Some had even begun partially resisting creation authority.

One Angel of Creation narrowed its radiant eyes.

"The Primordials designed them to improve through war."

Secretary nodded.

"Correct."

The Iron Legend cursed quietly.

"…So fighting them makes them stronger."

Azravel's Purpose

Far above the battlefield—

Jinyoung clashed repeatedly against Azravel.

BOOM.

Abyss authority collided against corrupted evolution power endlessly.

Nearby universes shattered from the shockwaves.

Azravel blocked another strike before smiling.

"Now you understand."

Its body shifted again.

Adapting against the Abyss in real time.

"Conflict is the greatest catalyst for transcendence."

Jinyoung's eyes hardened.

"You're turning existence into an experiment."

Azravel laughed softly.

"That is exactly what existence is."

BOOM.

Their fists collided again.

This time—

Azravel resisted the Abyss significantly better than before.

The adaptation speed was monstrous.

The First Fallen Legend

Elsewhere—

Kharon's spear pierced directly through the Iron Legend's defense.

BOOOOM.

The Legend crashed through three fractured dimensions before finally stopping.

Blood spread across his armor.

The other Legends reacted immediately.

Because this was the first time since becoming Legends that one of them had suffered critical damage.

Kharon pointed its void spear downward calmly.

"Insufficient."

The Iron Legend forced himself upright slowly.

His mana fluctuated violently.

But then—

Something changed.

His aura deepened.

Compressed.

Stabilized.

One Seraphim widened its eyes.

"His mana is evolving."

The Iron Legend coughed blood.

Then smiled slightly.

"So this is what Jinyoung meant…"

Pressure erupted outward from him again.

Stronger than before.

Nearer to complete Low Monarch stabilization.

Humanity truly was evolving through war.

The Abyss Army Evolves Further

Brute tore apart an Eldritch titan before devouring its corrupted core instantly.

His abyssal markings spread further across his massive body.

Suddenly—

A void beam struck him directly.

The battlefield froze briefly.

That attack previously would have wounded him badly.

But now—

The beam weakened dramatically upon contact.

Brute simply growled.

Then kept charging.

One Angel of Creation observed carefully.

"…His resistance evolved again."

Nearby undead soldiers showed similar changes.

Some now resisted mental corruption from Nythra entirely.

Others had begun partially regenerating from void damage.

The Abyss Army's growth was accelerating rapidly.

And that frightened even the Seraphim.

Because evolution without limits eventually became unpredictable.

Humanity Breaks Its Limits Again

Back on Earth—

The dimensional tears above the planet continued showing fragments of the war.

Hunters worldwide trained obsessively.

Humanity no longer viewed strength as optional.

It was survival.

And among them—

The five future Legends-in-training began evolving fastest.

S-ranks who once stood beneath National Ranks were now nearing Legend-level mana themselves.

The old hunter system was collapsing entirely.

An A-rank hunter shattered into SS-rank mana during live combat against an Apostle invasion.

Cities erupted in disbelief.

Humanity's growth curve had become abnormal.

Exactly as Yogaroth intended.

Nythra's Madness Domain

Back in the outer sea—

Nythra finally unleashed its full authority.

A gigantic eye-filled domain spread across nearby universes instantly.

The weaker undead army immediately lost formation.

Even some Legends staggered mentally.

The Storm Legend grabbed his head painfully.

"…Get out of my mind…"

Nythra smiled softly from within the darkness.

"Mortals were never meant to witness higher existence."

But then—

The Abyss expanded.

Jinyoung's authority surged across the battlefield instinctively.

The madness weakened instantly.

Because the Abyss did not reject mental corruption.

It adapted against it.

Nythra's smile faded slightly.

For the first time—

An Eldritch General looked uneasy.

The Seraphim's Concern

One Angel of Creation descended beside another mid-battle.

"His evolution speed is increasing too quickly."

The second Angel looked toward Jinyoung silently.

"Just like Yogaroth."

The first remained quiet briefly.

Then finally asked:

"Do you think he can truly oppose the Sovereigns?"

The second Angel answered honestly.

"No."

Silence.

Then it continued.

"Not yet."

Azravel Evolves Again

Azravel suddenly caught Jinyoung's next strike directly.

Completely.

The Abyss failed to push it back this time.

The general smiled wider.

Its authority deepened dramatically.

"Excellent."

Corrupted evolution energy exploded outward.

Nearby dimensions twisted unnaturally.

Azravel's body transformed slightly.

More stable.

More transcendent.

"You continue forcing my growth."

Jinyoung narrowed his eyes.

Because Azravel's pressure had now crossed High Monarch territory.

Mid-battle.

The Flame Legend sensed it from below and stared upward in disbelief.

"…That thing just evolved AGAIN?"

Azravel looked toward Jinyoung calmly.

"This is why the Primordials never feared resistance."

Its corrupted aura spread infinitely.

"Conflict only creates stronger outcomes."

The Dangerous Truth

Secretary suddenly appeared near Jinyoung through a rune teleportation.

His expression remained calm—

But his eyes were serious.

"You must end this battle quickly."

Jinyoung blocked another attack before responding.

"Why?"

Secretary enlarged several projections instantly.

And Jinyoung saw the horrifying truth.

Across nearby universes—

More Eldritch Generals were awakening.

Dozens.

No—

Hundreds.

The war itself was triggering further evolution throughout the Primordial armies.

Secretary spoke quietly:

"The longer resistance survives…"

His runes flickered heavily.

"…the stronger the enemy becomes."

The outer sea trembled violently again.

Because now—

Humanity faced the true nightmare of the Primordials.

An enemy that weaponized evolution itself.

And somewhere beyond the fractured outer sea—

Something ancient continued watching Jinyoung's growth with interest.

Waiting.

Evaluating.

Preparing.
