Jill hints to Clad that he doesn't have a sword, but decides to fight with his fists anyway.
"It's fine," Clad says, which surprises Zaruya.
"A swordsman trying to fight me bare-handed?" She says.
"I'll give it to you, you're quite the confident one."
"Come at me with all you got!"
Clad rushed in with a flurry of punches, but each and every one of them was blocked by Zaruya as she smiled at him. Seeing that speed won't work against her, he tried to find more techniques and meaningful hits instead, as he went for a powerful kick, sending her gliding on the terrain for a few feet, surprising her.
"Oh wow, you're quite strong!"
"Show me more!" She said with a smirk on her face.
Clad dashed to her as he swung his right arm, which she blocked with her left before throwing an attack of her own, a palm strike to his chest, sending him away from her.
Ugh!
"Oh, you took that like a champ!" She said as she attacked him with a barrage of attacks, from punches to kicks, Clad could barely keep up, and Zaruya didn't seem as if she was trying in the slightest. But he had to fight back so as not to leave a bad impression; this was a test after all. As Zaruya came in with another punch, he quickly evaded it and countered her with one of the martial arts moves from his clan, the flower fist art, made for hand-to-hand combat in mind. It excelled in speed and precision as he quickly delivered a swift punch from below towards her stomach, which mimics the opening of a flower, aimed at disorienting the opponent.

Although the attack did seem to have connected, Clad's floral pink and white energy was suddenly blocked by a sparkling blue energy covering Zaruya's body.
"Alright, the test is over!" She said as Clad stopped his attack and stood straight
"So, do I pass?" He asked her.
"Hmmm..."
"Yeah!" Zaruya replied while giving him a thumbs up, which made both Clad and Jill happy.
"You said you were a swordsman, right?"
"Yes."
"I am quite disappointed I couldn't face you with a sword, but I'll write you down as a swordsman." As she wrote down his information, she told Jill to step forward as it was her turn to take the test. She slowly walked up as she removed her black jacket, throwing it to Clad as she asked him to keep it for her.
"I'll show you something you never saw before." She said as she cracked her neck.
