Laura and Adonis fought the captain, with Adonis taking most of the hits due to him being the one who isn't using a ranged weapon like Laura.
"This guy is good," Adonis thought as he put both his fists in front of his body, taking a more boxing-like stance before running for another attack.
As he went in for a punch, Alcat parried it with his hand and countered by cutting him with his sharp claws, and followed with a kick that Adonis blocked. Seeing the opportunity, he quickly took his leg and forced him to the ground, but the captain used his body to kick himself away from his range, quickly getting back again.
Laura shoots her gun at him multiple times, but he dodges all of the incoming bullets and closes the gap between him and her in seconds.
"Got you!" The cat-eared man said as his claws slowly approached the elf's face, but was interrupted by Adonis, as he punched him right into the back of his head, making him fall to the ground unconscious.
THUD!
"Never turn your back away from the real threat."
Laura, upon hearing what he said, was slightly offended and angrily asked him if he thought she wasn't a threat, to which he replied that he didn't mean that way and that she reminded him of a thug from Chicago he had to defend in court in the past.
"A what?" She said, confused at his comment.
"Forget it, it would be better to move right?" Adonis said in an attempt to change the direction the conversation was going.
"....Right.."
Laura called the rest of the team as they all won their own battles against the rat's pawns and decided to delve deeper into the nightly city in an attempt to reach the rat king's castle. They were interrupted by a beautiful woman of dark skin and a purple cloak. She stood at the other side of the lit road and spoke in a calm tone.
"My name is Erva, a necromancer who is known for great power and mastery of dark magic and necromancy. If you give up here, maybe I'll let you guys leave."
"Because you won't stand a chance against me." She said with a cold tone as her eyes glowed purple.
"What if we don't leave?" Laura asks.
"Then I'll have no choice but to kill you here.." Erva said as she commenced a chant.
"Come to me, dark soul of the underworld!"
[DARK SUMMON]!
As she finished, a being made of bones came out from her shadow, gradually becoming bigger before being seen at its entire magnitude, being almost 19 feet in height, made up entirely of thousands of bones, and leaked dark energy as it breathed.
!!!
"That thing is huge!" one of the soldiers said in shock as they looked at its sheer difference in size.
"This is my giant bone golem, it's not every day that you see something like this, so consider it as me being nice enough to show you something as great as this before killing you all!"
The woman pointed at them, commanding the giant creature to kill them. Hearing the command, it roared and ran towards them like a beast, shattering the ground with each step. The group positioned themselves for the fight when, unexpectedly, a man swoops in from above, rapidly landing as he cuts the entire creature in half.
"...huh?" The dark mage let out as she witnessed her golem get cut in half.
"You guys alright?" The swordsman asked.
"We're doing fine, Swan," Laura replied.
TSK!
Erva let out as she attempted to distance herself from them using dark magic, slowly fading into the shadows, before Laura shot her with her gun right through her head, deactivating the spell and killing her.
Laura is surprised to see Swan here and wonders where Clad and the rest of his team are, but he doesn't know anything about them.
