Chapter 113 - Chapter 111: Slaying the Others

At Crasters Keep, Lü Bu led an army to occupy the place. From Craster, they learned the news that the Others would arrive tonight.

"If he dares to come, I'll make sure he never returns. Set up traps all around; I don't believe these Others are that terrifying," Lü Bu said.

Although he had heard from Mufasa that the Others were a species not belonging to humans, with intelligence and combat power superior to humans.

Without special weapons, humans couldn't kill the Others, but Lü Bu didn't believe in evil. He planned to personally meet this 'Other'.

"General Lü Bu, the Others are terrifying; please don't be overconfident," Aggo said.

"Don't worry, I have my halberd and Seven-Star Precious Saber. I roam Beyond the Wall freely, coming and going as I please. Even if giants come, I'm not afraid."

At night, the red comet in the sky was still brilliant.

Some said it was a sign of the apocalypse, while Others said it was a natural celestial phenomenon.

Cold winds blew, and many soldiers huddled together, using their body heat to warm themselves a little.

However, too many people had come, so many were standing in the wind and snow, as Craster's rooms were insufficient.

This night was extremely quiet; not even a crow cawed. Lü Bu, Aggo, Ygritte, Craster, and Others sat before the fire, awaiting the arrival of the Others.

Behind Lü Bu, one soldier held his halberd, and another held his Seven-Star Precious Saber.

"Thump, thump, thump!" The sound of boots treading on wooden boards echoed outside. Ser Loras had returned.

His face was red from the cold, and white mist escaped his mouth.

"The nearby traps are all set, but will the Others really come?"

"That's a question for Craster. He's a follower of the Others, isn't that right, Craster?" Aggo asked.

"The Others are invincible! You will all be defeated! Then I will drink from cups made of your skulls, hahahaha!" Craster suddenly roared.

"Should we kill him?" Ygritte asked.

"No hurry. It's not too late to kill him after his masters, the Others, are dead," Lü Bu said.

At this moment, a cold wind blew, and the stars in the sky dimmed slightly. Only the clear, cold moon still illuminated the earth.

"They're here, aren't they!" Lü Bu rose, picked up his halberd, and stepped into the wind and snow alone.

He didn't need any help because he was a strong individual.

In the forest, a warhorse carried a tall, pale-skinned person with blue eyes closer.

The horse was not intact; half of its head had been sliced off by something. Its remaining eye also glowed blue.

"Is that you, Other? You really do look like a ghost, quite frightening."

A halberd reflected the clear, cold moonlight. Lü Bu strode forward, blocking the Other's path.

A sound emerged from the Other's mouth, sharp and unpleasant. Lü Bu couldn't understand it.

"Although I don't know what you're saying, you won't pass while I'm here. Dismount, let's fight, and let me see your strength," Lü Bu said.

Seemingly sensing Lü Bu's powerful aura, the Other actually dismounted from the wight warhorse. An ice crystal spear, dangerous and sharp, appeared in its hand.

"That suits me perfectly!" Lü Bu laughed.

The two clashed, the halberd meeting the ice crystal spear. Dark red sparks generated from the friction of their weapons.

Lü Bu felt as if he was facing a block of ice, a stone. His weapon merely produced a metallic clang when it struck the opponent's body.

A huge rebound force traveled through the halberd into his palm.

"This fellow, is his body made of iron? Didn't they say they were some kind of creature? They're not gods, so why is their physique so special?" Lü Bu wondered.

Mufasa had forgotten to equip him with a halberd made of valyrian steel. His weapon lacked magical attack, so even with Lü Bu's extensive combat experience, his stamina rapidly declined against an Other.

The cold weather and prolonged battle quickly drained Lü Bu's strength; they had been fighting in the snow for over an hour.

Lü Bu's breathing gradually grew heavy.

"The opponent seems to have infinite stamina. What should I do?" Lü Bu thought to himself.

He was entangled with the opponent and couldn't break free for a while.

Just as he was distracted, the ice crystal spear pierced his Beast-Faced Heaven-Devouring Armor. The armor began to freeze, and a chill enveloped Lü Bu's chest.

Lü Bu immediately jumped backward, looking at his chest. More than half of his chest armor was frozen by a thin layer of ice, very solid. He tried but couldn't shatter it immediately.

The Other did not pursue quickly; instead, it stopped and looked at Lü Bu. Immediately after, Lü Bu witnessed an unforgettable scene.

The Other's mouth opened, revealing a toothless throat. Only a cold current sprayed out, followed by the growth of white teeth and a blue tongue.

"A strong one among humans, it is my honor to meet you today! Hahahaha!"

This Other actually started speaking human language. Previously, they never spoke human words, and although they had their own language, speaking human language was rare for them.

"You can speak human language?" Lü Bu asked.

"Can all of your kind speak human language?" he continued to ask.

"If the time is right, we will speak it, but we rarely encounter humans who make us speak human language. You are the first I have met," the Other said.

"What is your purpose in coming here today?" Lü Bu asked.

"My follower, I have come to collect a sacrifice from him. A baby," the Other said.

"A baby as a sacrifice, for what purpose?" Lü Bu asked.

"To be transformed into our kin, new Others," he said. A large part of the Other race came into being this way, though some ancient Others were created by the the cold god himself.

"With me here today, you will not have your way. If you don't retreat quickly, you will not see tomorrow's sun," Lü Bu said.

"Hahahaha! Although you are formidable, you don't have a valyrian steel sword, nor dragonglass; you cannot kill me. So, how about you hand over the baby, and I will leave without harming anyone else here?" the Other said.

"Who says I can't kill you?"

Lü Bu said.

He took out his bow and arrow. The bow was ordinary, but the arrow was a Dragonglass Arrow. Lü Bu drew the bow to a full moon, aiming at the Other.

Immediately, a sharp arrow pierced the air. Before the Other could react, it was shot clean through, then dissolved into a pile of ice shards on the ground.

"So they're that easy to kill, as long as you choose the right weapon!" Lü Bu murmured to himself.
