Chapter 93 - Chapter 92: Break Off Engagement

However, Mufasa's luck ran out later, and he lost.

"Do you choose Truth or Dare?" Myrcella asked.

"I choose Dare," Mufasa said.

"Very well. Tonight, at the third watch, go to the Godswood and wait there," Margaery said.

"Why? Is it not safe to walk at night? Especially in King's Landing right now, where the fish and dragons are mixed together, and public security is extremely poor. Janos is complaining to the Small Council every day. A Gold Cloak dies every few days," Mufasa said.

He was telling the truth; Gold Cloaks were indeed dying constantly. Some were skinned, some were poisoned, and some even had their corpses gnawed on when they were found.

"That's what makes it a dare, isn't it!" Sansa Stark said.

"Fine! I'll go tonight. But if you're planning to prank me, just send a servant; don't go yourselves. After all, it's dangerous for girls at night," Mufasa said.

At night, Mufasa went alone, leading the Charcoal Fire Dragon Colt, and arrived at the Godswood.

"There doesn't seem to be anything wrong. I bet they dug a hole for me to fall into."

"The weather is getting a bit cold! Let's warm up by a fire!"

Mufasa gathered some dry branches and had the Charcoal Fire Dragon Colt breathe a puff of fire.

Mufasa sat by the fire and stretched out his hands.

"Even King's Landing feels the cold. Could it be that The Citadel has released the white ravens to notify the entire continent of Westeros that winter has come?" Mufasa speculated inwardly.

"I'll go ask Grand Maester Pycelle tomorrow!"

While Mufasa was warming himself by the fire, several figures in black began to move quietly at the edge of the woods.

They wore tight-fitting clothes, moved with agility, and walked without a sound. They looked like professional assassins.

While Mufasa was walking around the woods in boredom, a large net suddenly fell from the sky and trapped him, followed by a black cloth that covered him.

The Charcoal Fire Dragon Colt neighed and wanted to run, but was calmed down by someone.

"Don't call out, don't call out, it's me!"

One of the figures in black took off her hood, revealing a head of blonde hair. Myrcella slowly calmed the Charcoal Fire Dragon Colt down.

Afterward, she led the horse away to tie it up elsewhere.

"How is it? Is he alright?" Myrcella asked in a low voice.

"He's fine. Come on, let's tie him up now," Margaery said.

They opened the black cloth and looked inside, but there was no one there.

"He's gone! Could he have used an earth-escaping technique?" Sansa Stark said. Her red hair was very striking in the night, like a burning torch.

Just as the three of them were searching for Mufasa, the ground collapsed, forming a deep pit, and all three of them fell in.

"How did this happen? Did we fall into a trap?"

"Mufasa is so detestable! Can't he let us win for once?"

"But where is he?"

In the deep pit, a torch suddenly lit up.

"Good evening, everyone!" Mufasa said.

His sudden voice gave them all a start.

"So it was you, Mufasa! But how did you escape?" Margaery asked.

"Your net wasn't secure! I could tear it apart easily," Mufasa said.

"The dare is over, everyone. Let's go back! You're all covered in dirt now, hurry back and wash up before going to sleep!" Mufasa yawned and said.

"Wait a moment, Mufasa!" Margaery suddenly said.

"What's wrong?" Mufasa asked.

"Look, there's a bat over there!" Margaery said.

"A bat?" Mufasa looked in the direction she was pointing.

Then he felt his mouth blocked by something warm and moist, and a tongue pried open his teeth.

Mufasa widened his eyes. Margaery, what are you doing?

But Mufasa felt a tingling sensation spread from his mouth throughout his whole body. It was even more intoxicating than drinking wine.

He didn't know how much time had passed before Margaery finally pulled away from Mufasa.

"I did that to thank you for saving my brother's leg, purely to thank you! Don't think too much of it!" Margaery said seriously.

"Our Miss Margaery has quite a unique way of thanking people!" Mufasa laughed. He had actually been forced into a kiss. He needed a chance to get back at her.

At this moment, Sansa Stark also came to Mufasa's side gracefully. Without waiting for Mufasa to say anything, she hugged him tightly and attacked with her cherry lips. Mufasa was forced into another kiss. It tasted like roses, that was Mufasa's feeling.

"I'm also doing this to thank you for saving my brother Bran! No other meaning," Sansa said.

"Sansa, your face is as red as your hair right now," Mufasa said.

"But, it's impossible between us. Don't you have a betrothal with Joffrey?" Mufasa asked.

"It has been cancelled!" Sansa Stark said.

"When? Why didn't I know?" He was quite surprised.

"Father and King Robert put their heads together and decided that now is the time to defend the home and country, a time for total war, and we shouldn't be thinking about romance. So, they cancelled the engagement between me and Joffrey," Sansa Stark said.

"That's quite sudden! Not many people know, right?" Mufasa asked.

"Father told me first! Even Mother doesn't know yet!" she said.

"The night is deep. We should leave here!"

After leaving the pit, Sansa Stark slept with Margaery that night.

Mufasa rode his bicycle with Myrcella sitting on the back seat, and the Charcoal Fire Dragon Colt running behind them, as they returned to The Red Keep.

Joffrey was waiting in his room; he seemed to have been there for a long time.

"Mufasa, I have good news for you. Father has cancelled my engagement with Sansa Stark. I'm so happy, hahaha!"

Joffrey looked as if he had transformed from a commoner into a noble; perhaps this was the legendary 'bachelor aristocrat'! Mufasa thought.

"Why are you two covered in dirt, and your clothes so messy? Did you go to the monastery outside the city again?" Joffrey asked.

"Wait, didn't you go to House Tyrell for a banquet today? Did you fall into a pit on the way?"

Hearing Joffrey's words, Mufasa and Myrcella couldn't help but laugh out loud for a moment.

"Hahahaha! Hahahaha!"

"What's wrong? Did I guess right? Did you really fall into a pit?" Joffrey felt satisfied with his own wisdom.

"By the way, Father said The Great Council is about to end. After it ends, he is going to take people to The Kingswood for a hunt, which will also be a pledge ceremony. When the time comes, I'll bring the compound bow you gave me, let's go hunting together!" Joffrey said.

Mufasa nodded.

After Joffrey left, Myrcella didn't want to go yet.

"Can I stay here tonight? I want you to tell me a bedtime story. You haven't told me a story in a long time! Mufasa!" She looked at Mufasa with her large emerald-green eyes.

"Alright! Go change into clean pajamas first, then come back!" Mufasa said.

Two quarters of an hour later, Mufasa and Myrcella were both wearing pajamas and covered with blankets. She slept on Mufasa's bed, and Mufasa slept on a floor mat.

"Once upon a time, there was a Cinderella..."
