In Avarice itself, this game is the first game with VR in the form of a capsule which is a package of the game itself.
Built with advanced architecture that is the result of a collaboration between the world's largest companies today, namely Faintlink, Onefen, Tetradia, Loudspace, and Netskie. whose ideas are accommodated into an organization called THE ECHELON COLLECTIVE.
Where in this game not only offers the content of the whole body feeling the feel of the game, but offers a second reality where the entire structure of the universe is made with a ratio of almost 1: 1 with the real world, there are also NPCs there where each NPC has its own AI, crazier than that, this entire game is not directly controlled by many developers, but they create a central AI that regulates everything, including all events in the world called Limitless Unified Neural Algorithm (LUNA).
I put my body in a supine position in the capsule, then the capsule started to sensor my body and then covered my entire face, hands and feet with a special tool that was quite soft.

According to the people's beliefs, the wind comes from Yggdrasil which is channeled by the wind spirits, the world tree that they believe exists. Then for Anila Village itself, they believe that Yggdrasil gives them more blessings with a stronger wind climate than other places, they believe that the wind in Anila Village comes from a high-level wind spirit, namely Sylphid, the Wind Spirit King, therefore their village is called Anila (Wind).
I feel that the fairy tales or legends written in the book are too exaggerated, because I think it is impossible for the legend to explain what happened in this village, especially since there is no proof.
I saw an empty space on one of the pages after the tale, I tried to add my knowledge so that those who read this book would not only believe in the legend, but also in its logical explanation.
I took a pen from my inventory and started writing.

In the past, I was a talented professional league player from Indonesia from a game called 'Bounty Jaster'. This game, owned by a large game company which is currently one of Avarice's investors, namely Netskie, was released in 2026 and held its first proscene League in early 2031. This game was famous for being complicated at that time because of its unique concept where they combined the Hero Shooter genre with Battle Royale.
Not only that, this game even feels more complicated when there are smithing and weapon ability features in 2032 which make this game more mechanical and require a deep understanding of each gameplay, creating unique strategies in each different match.
This game is designed with a battle royale format starting the match where 16 teams will be dropped into an open field with the objective of avoiding the zone and killing enemies until only 1 team or 1 person remains in the match.
It may seem simple, but the real challenge lies in the game mechanics itself. Where in certain places there are places for smithing items, the basic difference between normal looted items and smithed items is in their stats, some weapons have damage that is 2x greater than weapons that are already on the map from the start, recoil is accelerated, visibility is increased, and so on.
However, making weapons with smithing is not as easy as it looks, because players must collect the fragments first, then must have good precision in forging them. Because if they are not precise, the quality of the weapon will decrease or even be destroyed and cannot be reforged again.
Then another thing is Weapon Ability, this feature makes the weapon owned by the player have its own unique skills. The way to get it is by collecting ability stones scattered throughout the map, abilities are distributed randomly and the way to insert the ability stone into a weapon is by forging it too. So, if for example the forging fails it will make the collection in vain.
If you think that's the only difficulty of this game, you are certainly wrong, because after the battle royale match ends there will be a 5 vs 5 match with an fps hero shooter format. After the battle royale match is over, the top 1 - 4 winners calculated based on their accumulated scores, get the benefit of drawing rights to determine their group stage. Group A is represented by Top 1, Group B is represented by top 2, and so on.
In one group, there are 4 teams facing each other. The teams drawn are the teams with positions 5-8 in the first pot, 9-12 in the second pot, and 13-16 in the last pot. Each group representative takes 1 name in turn for their pot, then after each representative holds 3 names, the three names will be drawn again to determine who the representative will fight.

Vanguards (The Tank/Anchor): A role whose job is to open the way, he is the one who makes the team calmer because he can access the enemy formation more easily because most of the damage is borne by this role.
Breacher (Entry Fragger): A role whose job is to help Vanguards open the way. If the Vanguards advance and are blocked by damage from enemies entering them, the breacher will help get rid of the enemies in front who are blocking the Vanguards, usually this role is equipped with non-damage expelling utilities such as flash and others.
Spectre (Flanker/Lurker): His job is to separate himself from the team when he gets entry, where this role position is used to eliminate the main damager, namely Deadeye.
Tactician (Support/Healer): The role that can be said to be the second most important in the team, where this role covers two modes, battle royale and hero shooter. In battle royale, there is no role because all teams must survive in equal conditions. However, the tactician still works in battle royale because he is the one who manages the ammo supply, healing kit, even smithing is his job to forge, and in hero shooter, the task of this role is to protect the deadeye and expand the deadeye's vision with his utility.
Deadeye (The Sniper/Precision): The most important role in the team. Just like the tactician, deadeye is also a role that doubles as 2 modes. In battle royale mode, all resources are prioritized for this role because usually, players who play this role have sharp and precise vision. In hero shooters, Deadeye's job is to help eliminate any enemy in sight, even if it is a Vanguard, and this is done silently and without being seen. Usually this role is equipped with damage multiplier utilities and presence dampeners (not conceal like specters).
In this mode, there are 2 sides, namely the attacking side and the defending side. Where if attacking, the team must place a bomb in the designated area by any means and those in the defending position are required to guard it.
If you think this mode is like a 5 vs 5 fps in general, you are wrong, because in this mode you only choose a role, not a hero. You are free to determine the role composition you want to use, it could be that your team composition is 2 Vanguards 1 Specter 2 Deadeye and it could also be another composition depending on how you want to play as a team here.
Hero shooter is incomplete if it does not have utility in each role. Each role does have its own utility, but it is only opened by killing. Yes, you are not wrong, it is obtained by killing. So, the map format in this mode is different, the bomb installation point is different, there are even many paths to the bomb site which have their own obstacles. Starting from traps, fighting monsters and so on.
Therefore, each team will start from a distant position and will meet at the bomb-point with their respective utility and strategy advantages. Utilities are obtained randomly and uncertainly, because utilities are not tied to characters, but drops are given by killing existing monster obstacles, because they will drop crystals that players can use to open utilities.
However, for the top 1 - 4 they have additional benefits besides the right to draw, namely getting 1 utility crystal at the start of the game and being able to determine which side they are on in the first round.
Those in positions 5-8 also get a small benefit, namely getting intelligence in the form of a radar map for 30 seconds to find out about monsters or obstacles around each player.
In this mode there are 2 side rounds, so if for example team 1 has got the attacking side in the first round then in the second round team 1 will become defending. The change of sides occurs in the 8th game, and each team must win 8 games to be declared the winner, which means that in 1 match the maximum can be up to 15 games.
I started my career in 2035 in season 9 when I was only 16 years old and still a 10th grade high school student. I joined a small team at that time which is now considered a big team, namely Numerik Vessels or abbreviated as NV.
I debuted as Spectre because back when I played 'Bounty Jaster' this role was popular and was called 'Starboy' because this role always had good highlights and made the audience fascinated which made my soul want to be famous boil and I also wanted to be called 'Starboy' especially at that time the players with the Spectre role were mostly handsome and easy to get girlfriends.
The team members during my first season were:
1. Rusty (Captain/IGL) - Main Role: Vanguard. He is a veteran player on this team who has been playing since the 6th season of the league started and has a calm and wise personality, befitting a team captain.
2. Mochi - Main Role: Tactician. The team support that players initially thought was good because he had the same chemistry with Deadeye, but became the worst support when our team's Deadeye was replaced.
3. Kaiten - Main Role: Spectre. Kaiten is my nickname in the 'Bounty Jaster' proscene. My debut as Spectre was quite bad in the first season because it was very difficult for me to get close to the enemy's Deadeye or eliminate Breacher who was bothering my team's Vanguards.
4. J-Shoot - Main Role: Breacher. This is Leandra, she is good at chasing away enemies who disturb my team's Vanguard, even several times she and I worked together to clear the way, yes... although when we worked together I only disturbed her because I always made the enemy team's breacher block my team which was in an attacking formation.
5. Eagleet - Main Role: Deadeye. Mochi's playmate in this team, because their chemistry is like 1 and has been included in the best player combination in the 3rd row in the season awards.
My first seasons really didn't go well. Even several times my position was replaced by sub Spectre in my team. Of the 16 teams that played in the professional league, my team was in 6th place in the first season and 12th place in the second season which also didn't qualify for the playoffs at that time.
I felt like a failure and disappointed in myself, because I could only watch backstage watching other teams compete and win while I just stayed here.
2036, my third season started, this time I had trained hard and developed several tactics that could be applied in the game, my team coach at that time tried to develop a role strategy that was not tied to each player having to use 1 role.
This season, my potential began to be noticed by my team coach when he saw me playing as Deadeye. Indeed, at that time Eagleet was also experiencing a decline in performance which made Mochi also experience a similar decline.
In the end, I was appointed as the main Deadeye, replacing Eagleet and my team coach was looking for a new Spectre because Eagleet couldn't switch his position to become a Spectre to replace me. And in the end, I got Xenon, a reliable Spectre who was almost never caught when hiding, but always died stupidly because he was always far from the team, which made me unable to help him when he needed help.
The fourth season, this was the season when my name started to become famous, my team crushed all the teams until we became national champions and finally we advanced to the world stage which was held in Berlin, Germany.
In this World's Championship there are 32 teams from various countries with different E-sports developments.
However, our journey in this international arena was not smooth. Our steps were stopped in the round of 16 in the Alpha group stage at 12th place where we were stopped by a team from South Korea, namely Team Starion. They played with discipline, neatness, and almost without gaps as if they could not be passed from the start.
Even though we lost, I managed to get some kill points and from here my name started to be known through the casters.
"Omaygat, Kaitennnn... even in a losing situation, this player can still land several kill points for himself, even on fast-moving targets like specters." Said one of the casters who noticed my actions.
Our defeat was not only a factor of the South Korean team being very disciplined, but also because our team lacked chemistry because our coach returned the settings so that each player had to hold a different role which made us play as 5 roles. Mochi and I did not have good chemistry as a tactician and deadeye because I never got good vision and a sterile area from Mochi even from the start of the world championship.
We came home with a crushing defeat because we were eliminated early. Even though I was sad, I received appreciation from my teachers and friends at school. My 2 years of career have grown so far by not neglecting my school routine because I always get good grades in exams and daily assignments, and I also only scrim in the afternoon until evening after school.
December 2036 - January 2037 was my holiday before the Bounty Jaster Professional League (BJPL) Season 13 and also the 5th season of my career started. I focused all of it on my school and how I managed my mechanics in the game.
Until February came, where the 13th BJPL season (split 1) started from February to April 2037. This time my team was more prepared to face the enemy, I had practiced many new mechanics and strengthened them, plus my team coach trained the team more strategically by making us play all the roles in this game to be more flexible in choosing roles, making preparations even stronger.
I am still positioned as the main Deadeye in the team without having to change my role again in each match, because no one can be a better Deadeye than me. Well... even though when playing other roles I also have many shortcomings.
Like the previous season, we crushed all the existing teams until we won the national championship and got a ticket to the Esports Worlds Cup held in Saudi Arabia.
Just calmed down and can rest again. The country called all BJPL teams in Indonesia to take part in the Sea Games National Selection which will be held in May.
All teams had their players shuffled, as well as their coaches, they were shuffled to see who was superior, this process took a week and finally the roster was selected and ready to train for the Sea Games later.

1. Syn - Role: Coach, With the real name Bagas Syailendra Adiputra, he is a coach from Silence Cave. In the selection, he showed extraordinary performance, both in coaching and drafting phase.
2. Baron - Role: Vanguards, With the real name Garda Xaverius Rajendra and coming from the Tactic Gorgeous team, he is a tough Vanguard during the selection period. Rusty in my team may be superior in terms of wisdom, but Garda has courage that Rusty does not have, Combining intelligence and courage makes Baron 1 point superior to the other Vanguards because he can have perfect thinking in opening the way
3. Celio - Role: Breacher, With the real name Ravelio Ezra Kalandra from the Phantom Thieves team. I heard he has good shooting performance as well as a breacher whose main focus is only to repel the enemy. He replaced Leandra who in terms of performance I think Leandra is more worthy to be chosen.
4. However - Role: Spectre, With the real name Arion Elvano Dirgantara from the Celestials Forge team. Spectre is much better than Xenon who likes to go alone and doesn't see where the team is, Arion is superior in priority targeting and distance maintenance, he knows when it's time to attack and when it's time to be within my reach.
5. Deckless - Role: Tactician, with the real name Julian Danadyaksa Pradipta from the same team as Garda. He is a reliable and versatile Tactician, he can help do damage while keeping me as a Deadeye calmer in strategy, the use of skills that are more efficient than Mochi makes me want to duet with him in one team.
6. Kaiten - Role: Deadeye, Myself with the name Kaindra Hugo Natanegara. Chosen because of my performance which is better than most Deadeye and logical thinking in critical situations.
7. J-Shoot - Role: Sub Breacher, lastly there is Leandra Keenan Aqilendra. He is my teammate, the national selection placed Leandra as a sub-breacher just for strategy games, yes... even though I'm sure he won't be played later.
We practiced until we didn't realize the time because the Sea Games would be held in May. Until finally, the day of the Sea Games arrived.
The Sea Games were held at the Kallang E-sports Dome, Singapore. This stadium is an indoor stadium on a national scale, its magnificent visuals make the Sea Games like a more prestigious world-class competitive event.
Our journey during the Sea Games was quite smooth, even reaching the grand final, but our progress was stopped by the Thai National Team with a narrow score. We returned home with a silver medal in hand. Again and again, I failed to win a tournament, even with thorough preparation.
The country appreciated our efforts with a medal of honor, but I was still disappointed with it all.
After the Sea Games, I decided to take a break for a week and then train again with the NV team.
We are preparing until the day of EWC arrives. EWC is a tournament held globally for various types of games, one of which is Bounty Jaster with the Tournament Name Jaster Master Mid Cup (JMMC).
We played very well at first, even in the round of 16 we were able to occupy 5th place.
Our disaster started from the top 8 round where the teams were getting narrower and of course the ones who survived were also the teams that were at their strongest.
We started well in the battle royale by taking 3rd place. Then in the Hero Shooter round we finally made it to the Grand Final with various obstacles, because our score was always narrow to reach this grand final.
In the grand final we met a team from Korea again, but this time it was a different team. The team we faced this time was Champions Last Hope (CLAP). We didn't play well again, as happened before, our team secured the runner-up position with a narrow score again.
I was really down at that time, I wanted to hold the trophy with the world championship tag in my hands but it never happened. Several times I thought about filing for contract termination due to depression, even if I had to be frozen, it didn't matter, the most important thing was not to play in the proscene anymore.
Until one night I convinced myself again to try harder in the next season.
Exactly 3 days after my defeat in EWC yesterday. Bounty Jaster Update new patch by introducing the Augment system this system is designed for players to manipulate the characters used by players. First players will be given a design tree before starting a 5 vs 5 match and after choosing a role, players can customize several parts such as increasing visibility, strengthening utility effectiveness, and others.
Each player can only allocate 50 design points, with each design requiring different points, which makes this game more interesting in terms of strategy.
After seeing the update, I was probably the first person on the team to practice using the new feature, and the results were satisfactory.
The sixth season of my career, this time we are competing for the Jaster Master Legacy Crown (JMLC) ticket which is an annual world championship event, the same tournament as last year when I lost to the Korean team and finished 12th in the top 16.
In this season, the management began to realize the team's shortcomings and began to overhaul it.
My team's Spectre and Tactician were replaced and the rest were left alone. Management promoted players from the Minor Jaster League (MJL) to the BJPL.
Mochi was replaced with Cyborg, a 17 year old player who was 1 year younger than me. My impression of him at that time was that he was not like the Tacticians I had been on the same team with before, even Deckless.
His shooting accuracy is almost equal to me as a Deadeye, the right use of utilities, even to the point of being able to hold off 2 specters that attacked me, the most complete and fiercest support package I have ever encountered.
And Xenon was replaced by Fangs. My teammate who later retired because of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and his worsening cylinder minus. Before he retired, he was a very slippery specter, not easy to catch like Xenon but had unmatched aggressiveness. If Xenon went alone and far from my reach but could still be eliminated, Fangs was much more powerful because he could eliminate Deadeye even in a strategic location and tightly guarded by enemy tacticians.
Thanks to the patch update, coupled with player changes in several roles, our team is much stronger than before. This time we really dominated the National Championship without losing a single point.
And in this year's JMLC held in Kyoto, Japan. We made our debut very well. Sweeping many teams until we entered the Grand Finals again.
It's not without reason that we can be that strong, but rather the result of teamwork that is much better and more effective than before, as well as in choosing Augments, we utilize our respective strengths and utilize unique Augments that can hardly be imitated and followed by other team players.
In this grand final, we met the Russian team, Silent Step (SS). This team is famous for its cunning and aggressive playing style and is led by a specter named Phantom.
We played very well until the 5vs5 match reached 7-7, which meant we needed one more game to win.

In this 15th game, we made a serious blunder because we were lured into their style of play. Starting from Rusty, J-Shoot, and Fangs. They were lured into the diversion made by this Russian team. Their team used a composition of 2 Deadeyes, 1 spectre, and 2 tacticians. Rusty and J-Shoot were busy breaking through the enemy's defense because our current position was attacking, without realizing that their Tactician was not guarding his Deadeye.
Their Deadeye tricked me with continuous random shots, creating a burst shooting effect that damaged Rusty and J-Shoot's mental hearing. The enemy team's Tactician was looking for my team's spectre because they knew what Fangs' playing style was like.
In the end, Fangs was eliminated because he was caught off guard by the enemy tactician, but was rewarded with the death of their 2 deadeyes by me, and their tactician was also rewarded by Rusty and J-Shoot.
Now I'm left with the enemy captain, the phantom. Luckily, I upgraded my Insight, Vision, and Reflex Augments, which made me a little calmer.
I looked around for anything I could see with the Utility I still had, namely 'World's Scan'.
But what I didn't expect was, Phantom was more prepared by using his Ghost Step skill left over from the previous hunt. Phantom silently scanned me from behind which I couldn't scan with my utility.
Thanks to the Reflex and Insight Augment that I had previously upgraded, I was able to think quickly and rely on my reflexes. Just before the knife that Phantom used to minimize sound was attached to my neck, I heard the sound of footsteps rushing towards me and quickly did a 180-degree flick jump with the crosshair attached right to Phantom's forehead in doing the action.
