"We're running out of time." Erik said. He along with Jane, Loki, and Sif were stood on the top of a tower, looking down at the action.
"Almost there." Jane replied.
"Are you sure this is going to work?" Erik asked with a hint of worry in his voice. "These devices were made to detect anomalies, not cause them."
"Mortal, can't you work any faster?" Loki asked impatiently, he and Sif were put on guard duty and were currently guarding Erik and Jane who was fiddling with some device, Loki knew enough about it to tell that it was affecting the anomalies created by the convergence but not really how it worked.
"I'm going as fast as I can." Jane huffed in an irritated voice. "And you are not immortal." she reminded him.
"You never were patient." Sif rolled her eyes.
"Oh yes, of course, an army of dark elves are attacking, do forgive me for wanting to speed things up." Loki said sarcastically, also rolling his eyes.
"Come on Darcy." Jane whispered, hoping Darcy and Ian would hurry up with planting the devices. If all went to plan then she'd be able to control or at least target the effects from the anomalies. She looked down and saw Harry and Padfoot quickly and easily reducing the population of dark elves.
"The convergence will be in full effect in seven minutes." Erik spoke.
"That just means we need to keep Malekith busy for eight." Jane replied.
"Well… she's confident." Loki noted.
"You might want to hold on to something." Jane suggested, the three did as she said and grabbed onto nearby pillars. Jane, using her device, was able to send away a small group of dark elves.
"How did you do that?" Sif asked in an amazed voice.
"Oh well, the gravitational fields interact with the weak spots between worlds, creating a…"
"Sorry to interrupt but you might want to get that one." Loki suggested as he pointed to a group of dark elves.
"Huh? Oh!" Jane quickly used her device again to get rid of them.
"Beautiful and you possess a brain, no wonder why my brother likes you." Loki commented, earning a blush from Jane.

Harry ducked a punch before jabbing his wand at the dark elf, hitting him in the chest with the tip and sending him back and crashing into a trio of other elves. Harry quickly finished them off with a trio of killing curses.
"Woof!" Padfoot barked, Harry turned around and saw Malekith standing a small distance away. Above him rifts in the sky which lead to other worlds, including Asgard. Malekith was stood under the rifts and had become surrounded in a dark red storm made of the Aether. The wind around them had become just as harsh as it had in the dark world. The Aether storm rose and began increasing in size as it travelled up into the sky and began moving into different portals to infect the other worlds.
"Harry." A voice called, Harry head snapped in the opposite direction and saw Thor walking towards him without his hammer. He was shortly followed along by Jane, Erik, Loki and Sif.
"Late as always brother." Loki commented.
"Where the fuck were you?" Harry asked Thor.
"I was fighting Malekith," Thor growled. "I ended up fighting him all over nearly every realm there is. One moment we were fighting here, the next we're in the home of the dark elves and several other places before I was able to get back here."
"What is happening?" Sif asked as she looked at the dark storm.
"We're too late." Jane said in a horrified whisper.
"The convergence is at it's peak." Selvig said as Darcy and Ian arrived.
"Can those things stop it?" Thor asked, pointing to Selvig's devices.
"Too far away." Jane shook her head.
"How close do they have to be?" Loki frowned.
"Very." Erik replied.
"Yes of course, Merlin forbid our lives be any easier to save." Harry sighed.
"We can't get any closer to that." Jane said as she gestured to the storm.
"Perhaps not, but I can." Thor said as he took the devices from the Selvig.
"I'll come with you, just in case." Harry said.
"I will follow." Sif said. "I'm a warrior too," She said when Harry and Thor looked like they were about to object. "I am capable of looking after myself."
"Actually what I was going to say was if you're coming then Loki will look after these lot." Harry said as he gestured to Jane and the others.
"You're trusting me to look after them?" Loki asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, and I am trusting Padfoot to watch you." Harry said just as Padfoot barked. "Now come on." He added to Thor and Sif, both followed him as they headed towards the storm. They had only taken a few steps when a group of dark elves stopped in front of them. "Thor, me and Sif will deal with them, keep the devices safe." Harry ordered.
"Are you ready to fight?" Sif asked as she pulled out her sword.
"Ready whenever you are, Sif. " Harry said as he pulled out a sword from his armour body using his free hand. Sif and Harry charged towards the group, Sif quickly began sliding in-between the elves and cutting them down with her sword. Harry did the same but also sent a few spells in-between dodging and slicing, the two made quick work of the elves and joined Thor who had gone past them and into the Aether storm during the fight.
Once inside they saw Malekith with his arms stretched out, releasing the Aether. It was difficult to move with the Aether storm pushing them back.
"Malekith!" Thor yelled. Malekith turned to them, not showing the slightest sign of surprise.
"Darkness returns Asgardians, have you come to witness the destruction of your universe?" Malekith asked calmly.
"We do not give up!" Sif spat.
"We have come to accept your surrender." Thor said, glaring at Malekith. Malekith raised an arm, looking ready to attack, unfortunately for him Harry was faster. Harry sent a high powered lightning bolt at Malekith who was barely able to shield in time. Sif quickly took one of the devices in Thor's hand and threw it upwards, it arced down and pierced through Malekith's right arm.
