It's been four days since Rei had adjusted to the lifestyle in Kamigami Academy. The once extreme schedule and workload in the Assault Division class had become less stressful for him ever since he was able to adapt to the environment and gotten better with the practice investigation sheets although he still needed more improvement prior to Eunji's criticism while Rinka just said it was fine as what matters the most was his skills at best.
The environment of the academy was something he was happy and satisfied with since the former school that he was in before transferring was quite harsh due to the constant judgement of one's ranking in prowess level.
However, in Kamigami Academy, it was entirely different as despite the hierarchy status of one's level or wealth, some nobles, middle class and commoners including Rei and Sylvie as travellers are still in respect towards each other although some stereotypes still had hate towards each other.
Other than that, it was a great academy lifestyle that Rei had gotten used to as there was nothing to worry too much other than studying hard and pushing towards his career despite his odd situation of being a vessel.
"Sylvie. Have you done the homework for history class?" Rei asked as he looked over to the worksheet that he had which was bare minimum of what was needed before submission.
"Yeah? I did it after my last class yesterday. I wanted to help you with it but I ended up falling asleep early after playing league while waiting for your message…" she said with an embarrassed tone which Rei just chuckled at.
Rei knew that Sylvie would've been asleep already by the time his extracurricular class had finished due to the amount of work he had to deal with especially with both tutors and lectures from both the seniors who one was merciful enough to just make him do some average practical work while the latter was just extreme to put him in serious test which the orange brown hair girl had to intervene since his exhaustion was immediate in the middle of the assessment.
"Oi brat. Can you do something fun? I'm bored."
Another thing he gotten used to since the mental link between him and the ancient being within him. "Nope. Not gonna ruin my own life just to satisfy your craving." Rei said through the mental link which the latter just groaned in annoyance, "You're so boring."
Rei told about this situation to Eunji when he got distracted in the assessment which ended up with him getting a mean right hook by Eunji. The strawberry blonde had a face of confusion at first before being serious as she told him that she'll ask the headmaster about it.
There was no reply from his email or messages which indicated that it was still in discussion of what to do with it as the only thing that Rei could do was to deal and bear with it until there was a way to shut the mental link.
Despite all of that, Rei still looked forward to the things of what he could enjoy with the remaining time he has left before the inevitable which he still reminded himself of whenever he got too excited and delusional over something simple.
"By the way. How's your life without me in other classes?" He asked as Sylvie could only sigh before responding back, "Horrible. Luckily, I have Erika or Hinata to accompany with when you're not there but otherwise, I would sit somewhere far from anyone since I don't wanna spend too much time to know someone or make an interest of people courting after me."
Her answer was understandable since Rei had already seen how some of the males in the academy would look at her. Sylvie is pretty and had a decent look, her personality somewhat borderline good or bad depending on the latter's mood which he has already known of especially with her gaming passion for league.
Overall, Sylvie was already getting a fanclub of her own if they haven't discovered her hobbies which he had seen before that would end up with most of the males to stop trying to court her as who in the world would date a League of Legends player that had a rough personality when playing a single game which was a normal match instead of a ranked match.

"Haruki! Over here!" Rei called out to the black haired male who was looking all over the cafeteria as the group managed to find a spot to seat for their lunch break.
They were all having fun discussing things about themselves with Haruki telling them a funny story of Erika's mishap with her prowess which ended up with him being splashed by her water prowess.
The more they talk, the more Sylvie and Rei started to open to them as they were comfortable with the trio. Rei telling about how he met Sylvie which made the magenta haired girl blush at such events although it was intriguing for the trio since they've never seen those types of how a friendship starts.
"Rei. Are you alright?" Erika asked since the latter was almost spacing out in between topics when it was something about their ideal future or reasons for attending Kamigami Academy.
"Y-Yeah." Rei stuttered before continuing, "Just thinking about how well I'll perform to achieve the future that I want."
His answer somehow swayed Haruki and Hinata but Sylvie and Erika didn't pressured him to continued as the magenta haired girl knew why he was spacing out while the blonde didn't wanna make him uncomfortable.
"I see. I guess we all have our goals directed to the ones we wanted." Erika said before taking a sip of her remaining drink.
Haruki and Hinata were the first one to get off since their extracurricular classes were early in the schedule after finishing their lunch with Sylvie following a few minutes later. The only one remaining at the table was Rei and Erika as the two were engaged in a topic of prowess usage and mastery.
It was entirely different from what Rei had known for his entire life in Hong Kong as the gauging system in Ethereal focused in more aspects than basic knowledge of prowess usage.
Power, Speed, Recovery, Trick and Defense were the most basic things when gauging ones prowess in Hong Kong but in Etehreal, there were a lot of things to look at such as Durability, Output, Reserves and Execution which was interesting to him.
He had asked about the output and execution since it sounded the same thing until Erika explained it to him. Prowess output was basically based on how perfect or well the user can use their spiritual energy to the exact power needed to execute the technique or the effects of ones prowess. Meanwhile, Execution is about how well the technique is finished without any imperfection when the effect or technique is made after the output.
Reserves and durability really was something Rei had assumed since it was about the amount of spiritual energy that one possesses while the latter was how long can one holds the prowess active for the duration as he had known that others can't hold their prowess for that long.
The bell rang which indicated that the two had to go for their next class which Rei had to go earlier than Erika since he had some important things to do in the assault division class.
"See you tomorrow." Rei said while Erika waved at him before going on her own way.
Upon arriving at the assault division classroom, he was already back to work with enough energy to put all the effort into his academic studies while doing some small work such as arranging documents and printing out some papers for the two seniors that needed his assistance.
He was getting used with Eunji's long briefing and Rinka's practical work at the same time since it was giving him experience and knowledge that he could use in the future once he was able to handle such complicated tasks.
Kamigami Academy really lived up to its reputation as the academic lifestyle and personal development did a lot for the students despite of the hierarchy status of the nobles and the commoners that separated the rich and the poor.
While there are stereotypes that were quadruple the times worse than the ones he had experienced in Hong Kong, the staffs and teachers pay attention for such minor things except for the gym and PE teacher that still hated him for his high, complicated and broken prowess information.
Being able to study in such focus due to the professors and the environment was a good thing to him especially when he himself was bad at academic studies which would always have his grades be around C grade at best but with the new academic life, his grades managed to go B which was impressive since he never managed to maintain those for a long time.
"Looks like I'm on a great start." Rei muttered to himself as he was having a good flow in the assault division class after Eunji had deemed his practical investigation work to be around first class which he now had to learn the rankings of the sorcerers in the meantime.
