Half a day later
Adira looked at the barely recognizable Gares, tortured into an inhuman shape, and remarked with feigned empathy, "Tsk, you've turned the former Lord into this state. Doesn't your conscience hurt?"
"Conscience? What's that? My conscience was cut out by him long ago." The butler replied with a smile, then casually sliced a piece of fat from Gares, frying it on the stone slab, releasing a sizzling aroma of oil.
He then fed a piece of the already cooked fat into Gares' mouth of shattered teeth, using a green jade pendant to sustain his life amidst Gares' terrified gaze.
The emerald light healed him, but the lost body parts would never regenerate, just permanently lost, becoming even more bizarre.
"You've tortured him for so long, don't you plan to ask where his belongings are? What if he collapses mentally and can't answer your questions?" Adira asked curiously.
