Snow began to fall in the second half of the night. The moon still hung high between the gaps in the snow clouds, casting a faint silver glow. The snowflakes swayed down from the sky, refracting the moonlight into tiny points of light, as if countless stars were twinkling.
New Moon City was very quiet at night, everything seemingly plunged into sleep. The high-rise buildings loomed indistinctly through the curtain of snow, and only the gentle sound of falling snowflakes could be heard around, subtle and soft, as if whispering the unique tranquility of a winter night.
Snowflakes continuously fell on Su Mo, melting into tiny droplets with his body heat. He exhaled lightly, and a white mist condensed in front, gleaming under the moonlight, then was blown away by the cold wind, quickly dissipating.
