Evelyn took a deep breath and knocked on the bedroom door, then softly said, "Logan, can you open the door, please?"
No one answered.
"I just want to talk to you," Evelyn said urgently, "Just five minutes!"
But still, Logan didn't come to open the door.
"Logan!" Evelyn continued to shout, "Or... even one minute would be fine!"
Finally, she heard footsteps inside Logan's bedroom, and then the door opened.
The bedroom lights were not on, it was pitch black. Evelyn took a deep breath, and just as she was about to step inside, Yvette stopped her.
"Madam." Worry was evident in Yvette's voice, "You..."
"It's okay," whispered Evelyn.
She knew what Yvette was worried about.
"Wait for me outside, I'll come out in a while." Evelyn said, then glanced at Liam Shaw, and walked into the bedroom.
Evelyn closed the bedroom door, hesitated for a moment, and then turned on the light switch.
