Listening to Julian Keaton's words, Cecilia Lynch could no longer hold back. She buried her face in Julian's chest and burst into tears.
"How can you do this?" Cecilia pounded on Julian's chest, "I've told you to leave, so why won't you go? Why must you stay by my side and endure hardship?"
"You can't bear to see me go." Julian spoke with certainty, "Cece, don't push me away by hurting yourself. Leave everything to me to handle. Trust me, I can protect you, alright?"
"But..."
"No buts!" Julian interrupted Cecilia, "Listen to me, no matter how much you want me to leave, I won't. Wherever you are, I am. Understand?"
"Julian." Cecilia leaned into Julian's embrace, "I'm so scared... So scared something will happen to my mom! I'm afraid I'll bring misfortune to you all!"
"It won't happen." Julian gently patted Cecilia's back, "Once Auntie comes out of surgery, let me talk to her. I believe I can convince her to accept us and our past."
