Evelyn couldn't hold back any longer and burst into tears, "Cece, don't do this!"
"For the past few days I've been thinking, between the two of us, should one of us at least be happy?" Cecilia said softly, "Since I've been suffering for so long, and I'm used to it anyway, you should continue to be happy!"
After speaking, Cecilia hung up the phone.
"Cece!" Evelyn was anxious, "Cece! Don't hang up! Cece! Wuwuwu— don't do anything foolish!"
Evelyn immediately called Cecilia, but her phone was already turned off.
Without thinking much, Evelyn rushed to Yvette's room without even changing out of her pajamas and pleaded urgently, "Please! Drive me to see Cece! Don't tell Uncle yet, don't say anything yet!"
Yvette glanced at Evelyn, didn't say much, immediately understood, grabbed the car keys and took Evelyn out.
Evelyn gave directions while Yvette drove quickly, rushing to Cecilia's house. Yvette easily opened the door.
