Aunt Sienna was pushed back to the ward, and even though her condition was so severe, she was given fewer medications than before.
Aside from painkillers and nutritional fluids, no other prescriptions were issued since nothing else would help.
Bella Acker stayed by the bedside, looking at Aunt Sienna's wrist, so thin that it was just skin and bones, and her face had thinned beyond recognition. Her heart ached, and her eyes turned red.
"Aunt Sienna, I'm sorry for making you endure this pain for so long."
"Silly Bella." Aunt Sienna, in a daze, tried to raise her hand as if to touch Bella Acker's head, but she lacked the strength. Her hand lifted slightly before falling back down weakly.
Bella Acker, with red-rimmed eyes, took her hand and placed it on her forehead, just like she had done many times during her childhood.
Aunt Sienna rubbed her forehead, with affection in her eyes, saying "Silly Bella."
Bella Acker bit her lower lip tightly to keep herself from crying out loud.
