Cecilia Lynch looked pained, speaking with great emotion.
Damian Sinclair said expressionlessly, "I'm not a doctor, I can't promise you anything."
At his words, Cecilia Lynch looked at him, her heart sinking into despair.
What she wanted wasn't a doctor's assurance, she just wanted his promise.
He couldn't possibly misunderstand, but he just wasn't willing to give her the commitment that even if the child was lost, he would still marry her.
"Hey, hey!"
The ambulance quickly arrived, stopping right at the stairway entrance. The medical staff brought in a stretcher, "Where is the injured person?"
As Damian Sinclair was about to bend down to pick up Cecilia Lynch, Bella Acker suddenly ran down the stairs, grabbing his wrist, and said, "Don't pick her up!"
Cecilia Lynch said nothing, the blood still flowing from her forehead, her face pale.
Bella Acker ignored this, she just held onto Damian Sinclair's arm, not letting him carry Cecilia Lynch.
