When he saw the three familiar faces, Soren Phoenix immediately grinned, "Aren't these the dogs my uncle keeps by his side? Sneaking over in the dead of night to spy on my Luna?"
Recognized, Umbra, Strix, and Corvus had no choice but to halt, steeling themselves to bow in greeting.
Umbra spoke in a helpless tone, "The Young Master has suddenly lost his memory, and the Clan Leader ordered us to investigate. We ask for your understanding, Young Lord Fawkes."
Soren lifted an eyebrow, and the Phoenix True Fire at his fingertips went out in a flash. He gave a faint smile. "Honestly, it's nothing special. My cousin suddenly went mad and tried to kill Luna, and the lot of us teamed up to beat him until he lost his memories."
The truth, of course, couldn't be told. If his uncle learned the real reason his cousin had amnesia—because Luna used a secret technique to snip away his memories—it'd be thunderous rage all over again.
