"I know you're worried about me."
Luna stood on tiptoe and cupped his face. "But it's too dangerous for Kian Sterling to go to Beast King City alone. Besides..."
She blinked slyly. "You really should find a chance to make up for breaking his tail last time, shouldn't you?"
Mael Valerius's handsome face was filled with conflict. "Make up for what? Didn't I already apologize to him? Even said I'd make it up to him, but he refused. And besides, breaking his tail wasn't entirely my fault. If he hadn't used his fox tail to wrap around my dragon claw, trying to drag me out of the sky, I wouldn't have broken it. We didn't know each other then and were on opposing sides. You can't pin it all on me, right?"
He was only willing to swallow his pride and apologize to Kian Sterling, and even offer compensation, for Luna's sake.
But that didn't mean he believed it was truly all his fault.
Luna looked at him helplessly, inwardly sighing, knowing he had a point.
