Before the words left her mouth, Luna leaped onto the back of a Fire Phoenix. The phoenix soared skyward, carrying her away at lightning speed.
With Celestia Fawkes gone, the Phoenix Clan beastmen couldn't stay any longer either.
Each shifted into their true forms and flew off.
The Silver-haired Elder, Magnus Valerius, watched the Phoenix Clan beastmen disappear into the distance, frowning.
But he didn't try to stop them.
He just turned to Mael Valerius, his expression complicated. "Young Master, I'm afraid the Phoenix Clan won't let this go…"
"Afraid of them?"
Mael gave a cold laugh. With a sweep of his dragon tail, he pulled Luna Sutton closer into his arms, his voice deep and dangerous, "Elder, if you're scared, you might as well return to the Dragon Clan now. Tell that old bastard—"
His eyes flashed blood-red for a split second, his tone chilling: "If he dares to meddle in my business again, I'll happily tear out his dragon bones myself."
