Rhys Blackwood, Zeke Veridian, and Malachi Arcanus watched Kian Sterling's departing figure, their expressions all twisted in conflict.
"What are you two thinking?"
Malachi swept a glance at Rhys and Zeke, whose faces were equally conflicted, then suddenly spoke.
The two looked at Malachi at the same time, of course understanding what he was asking, yet neither said a word.
The air instantly sank into silence.
A moment later.
Rhys's voice came out raspy: "Let's go back and ask the Priest first, see if there's any other way to reach Aetheria."
Jade's verdant eyes glimmered with doubt, "The Mad Dragon's gaze toward Luna..."
He unconsciously rubbed his fingertips, "It was like he was looking at a lost-and-found treasure."
Rhys and Malachi both froze.
Rhys had joined The Wolf Tribe later, so he wasn't familiar with Luna Sutton's past.
Malachi grew up with Luna Sutton, but never really paid attention either.
