The two of them stood there in shock, as if struck by lightning, completely clueless about what had just happened.
The wolf pup in Corbin's hand fell to the ground with a thud, but he didn't even bother to pick it up.
He didn't even glance at it.
"Luna?!"
He almost instinctively lunged toward her, but as soon as he touched the pustules on her face, he jerked his hand back.
Those disgusting boils were oozing yellow pus.
"Luna..."
Corbin's voice trembled, his silver eyes panicked. "Witch doctor! Where the hell is that old man? Why isn't he here yet?"
Rhys finally snapped out of it and walked over, his heart aching.

Luna Sutton suddenly screamed and staggered backward. She clutched her face desperately, tears mixing with pus covering her palms. "Go away—all of you, get out of my sight! I don't want to see you..."
