When Corbin Crowley saw Luna staring at him, the smile at his lips deepened, a playful glint flashing in his silver eyes. "It hurts? Do you want me to rub it for you?"
His gaze swept over the injury on her neck, a flicker of murderous intent in his eyes, but he hid it well.
Luna Sutton rolled her eyes, couldn't be bothered with him, and turned to leave.
She saw Rhys Blackwood pinch a leaf between his fingers, and with a 'whoosh', it sliced across Chloe Callahan's pale, glowing neck.
Chloe only felt a chill at her throat. On reflex, she reached up to touch it—her hand came away covered in blood.
"Ah—"
Her eyes widened in horror, and she screamed as she fainted into Caleb Manning's arms.
Caleb hastily caught Chloe, his expression darkened instantly, golden eyes blazing with fury. "Rhys Blackwood, are you looking for death!"
Rhys shot him a cool glance, thin lips spitting out two icy words: "Fair play!"
