"Crack!"
From the shadows came the sound of a tree breaking. A violent glint flashed through Corbin Crowley's silver eyes as he crushed a piece of trunk into powder, bits of bark showering down.
He leapt down from the treetop, sneering coldly, "Overbearing? Telling you what to do? Hah... Looks like I've been too good to you."
Luna Sutton snapped out of her daze at the noise, her dreamy look vanishing on the spot.
She instinctively looked toward the source of the sound, locking eyes with Corbin's icy, tyrannical silver gaze.
Cold. Angry. Seething with violent intent.
She jolted in fright, practically wanting to slap herself silly on the spot.
If she had known this mongrel was lurking nearby eavesdropping, she never would've said those things.
From the way Corbin looked all pissed off, he definitely heard everything.
With that rotten temper of his, he'd probably rough her up, no telling what other punishments he's got in mind.
