Rhys Blackwood's tail slowly tightened, its cold touch making her shiver involuntarily. The tip of the tail brushed against her waist, barely-there and teasing, with a hint of provocation.
"What, chickening out?"

Luna Sutton braced herself, pretending to be calm. "W-who says I'm chickening out? It's just a tail, what's there to be scared of!"

Rhys's body stiffened; his eyes grew darker, bottomless as an abyss, as if he could swallow her whole.
