Walking ahead, Luna Sutton heard Malachi Arcanus speaking behind her. Her steps paused slightly, and she turned to look at him, instantly aware of his intentions, which struck her as amusing. She straightforwardly replied, "Alright, no problem—but you have to provide your own game."
Anyway, she hadn't had dinner yet, so making an extra portion for Malachi wouldn't be a hassle.
After she finished speaking, she carried her basket and walked off into the distance.
Rhys Blackwood followed behind with a wooden bucket in hand. Hearing this, his eyes flickered ever so slightly; knowing there'd be good food later, a faint curve appeared at the corner of his lips, as if a crack had opened in an icy mountain.
He didn't say anything, simply carrying his bucket and silently trailing behind.
Corbin Crowley and Kian Sterling had heard as well. The two exchanged a glance, and all semblance of awkwardness or pride was instantly tossed aside.
