It's so cold.
Ying Rushi put her hands to her mouth and exhaled a puff of white breath, rubbing her palms like a fly rubbing its limbs to generate heat. Between heaven and earth, all was a vast stretch of white, even the pine trees were laden with frost. Ying Rushi stood in knee-deep snow, shivering from the cold.
"Why aren't you wearing more clothes?"
A furry hat was placed on her head, and Ying Rushi turned around to see the well-dressed Ying Le. She was draped in purple sable and wearing wolfskin boots, her long hair casually tied back in a ponytail and hanging over her shoulder, her cheeks flushed red like an enticing big red apple that one would want to kiss.
The two of them appeared on a hillside, below lay the snow-covered pine forest, the distant mountains lost their sharp edges, draped in a heavy blanket; the furrows in the fields were smoothed away, like a thick, boundless plush carpet.
The world was cold, yet gentle.
