The birthday party venue was naturally not decided by Florence Fawcett. Ostensibly, it was sponsored by a good friend, but Florence's so-called good friend was Jane King, and the venue was a large villa with a garden owned by the King Family.
More than adequate for hosting a birthday party.
At this moment, there were already quite a few people at the villa.
Looking around, the male-to-female ratio was very uneven, roughly three to seven, with a group of women sitting together, each exuding a ladylike elegance, sipping tea gracefully, posture ever so poised.
Only one or two showed signs of impatience, occasionally glancing toward the door, unable to sit still.
The other women all had normal expressions, revealing nothing, chatting casually, sipping tea, smiling lightly. If one ignored their conversation, there truly seemed to be no issue.
