Chapter 187 - Chunin Exams #46

Konohagakure No sato :

Konoha Stadium :

While the stadium was engulfed in absolute chaos and battle, all the shinobi seemingly forgot about the civilians and V.I.P.s sitting in the stands. However, this wasn't an oversight. Whether they were from Konoha, the Sand, or the Sound, every single shinobi was intentionally avoiding them.

WHy Though ?

While it made perfect sense for Konoha ninja to avoid civilian casualties, why exactly were the Sand and Sound doing the same?

The answer was pretty simple. If the people sitting in those stands were merely ordinary Konoha citizens, the Sand and Sound forces wouldn't have hesitated for a second to swing their butcher knives.

But the real problem was that almost everyone seated in those particular VIP boxes was someone with massive connections—whether it was a high-ranking noble, a wealthy merchant, or even an official directly from a Daimyo's court.

and then Over 40% of these people were foreigners who had traveled from outside the Land of Fire just to enjoy the Chunin Exams. Massacring them would create geopolitical shockwaves far bigger than simply defeating Konoha.

If the world saw Sand and Sound shinobi casually slaughtering innocent nobles and foreign dignitaries while backstabbing their host village, the two hidden villages would instantly become universally condemned.

While KOnoha was still in clear , The Sand and sound will not .

Forget the immediate retaliation from all the connected Daimyos and nobles, or the massive bounties the wealthy merchants would slap on their heads. Even if the 'Konoha Crush' operation was completely successful, the Sand and Sound would become universally hated pariahs across the entire shinobi world.

Whether they succeeded in destroying Konoha or failed miserably, the outcome for killing those V.I.P.s would be exactly the same. The Iwa, Kumo, Mist, minor villages, and all the Daimyos would immediately issue joint kill-orders on every single person involved.

Simply because this kind of trend can never be encouraged or even Forgotton . Otherwise it may come bite them back one way or another .

The Sand and Sound shinobis involved would be placed on global kill lists. A worldwide hunt for their heads would ensue, which could very well result in the Sand Village's total demise, especially considering their already delicate relationship with their own Wind Daimyo.

Even a madman like Orochimaru had considered this angle. That was exactly why he had specifically ordered Kabuto and the others to avoid using any massive, large-scale ninjutsu near the stands, ensuring these VIPs wouldn't become collateral damage.

And that was also the reason why A large scale Genjutsu was used from the start.

Immortal or not, having massive, continent-wide bounties funded by the Daimyos—which would inevitably bring several Kage directly onto his tail—simply wasn't a worthwhile trade-off just to kill a bunch of monkeys who couldn't even use chakra.

And that was exactly how this bizarre scenario came into being. While lethal shinobi clashes were erupting all over the stadium, the combatants were actively giving the civilian seating areas a wide berth. Even when fighting pushed near the stands, no one dared to unleash any large-scale destructive ninjutsu.

Thought there were still strays weapon or something going there though but considering the actual number to thee casualties was minor manner .

In this delicate, highly specific environment, six of Naruto's shadow clones smoothly navigated the V.I.P. seating sections until they spotted their targets.

(There they are. Honekawa and my investment squad.)

The clones moved in, finding Honekawa and the other investors completely unconscious, lumped together with their so-called 'guard shinobi.'

(....They must have gotten way too comfortable with Konoha's tight security over the years.)

The clones quickly took a headcount. There were exactly thirty guards responsible for protecting these VIPs. Judging by their attire, the detail consisted of two Chunin, eight Genin, and twenty samurai. Of course, right now, every single one of them was sleeping like a baby under the mass genjutsu.

(.....These shinobi definitely don't look like they're from Konoha........ Are they rogue ninja, or just personal goons these nobles hired over the years?) one of the shadow clones mused

. After all, it had been almost thirteen years since the last major war. Even if a conflict did break out, the nobles probably assumed they wouldn't be targeted, especially right inside a hidden village.

Konohagakure

Shaking his head, the shadow clones moved in to wake everyone up. However, the clones' procedure was completely backward compared to standard shinobi escort protocol.

Instead of waking the guards first—which would make securing the perimeter faster and free up the clones to leave—they specifically woke up all the fat-walleted nobles and investors first, starting with Honekawa.

".....Ehh? Naruto-kun?" Honekawa mumbled, rubbing his eyes.

"Shhh," the clone hushed him.

"What's happening, Naruto-kun?"

"I will explain once everyone is awake."

Soon, the rest of the nobles and wealthy merchants blinked awake. It only took them a few seconds to register the brutal war actively raging across the stadium, before realizing they were being rescued by a Konoha Genin—Uzumaki Naruto—while their own highly paid guards were still snoring on the floor.

"The heck is going ON...!!"

"Shut up, Shiuchi, don't attract attention to us!"

"Yes, keep calm."

"......Can you tell us exactly what's happening, Naruto-san?"

Seeing these usually pompous figures immediately regain their bearings and drop all the 'Young Master' and arrogant noble act, Naruto's clone was genuinely a bit surprised.

( Guess when It comes to their own Lives , All pride or stupidity disappers )

"The Sand Village has betrayed Konoha. They used the Chunin Exams as camouflage to launch a surprise attack while disguised as our allies," the clone explained bluntly.

"....."

"What the hell?! If they want to fight a war, then they should fight on a real battlefield! What is this—"

"So, it's an ambush while attending as a formally invited guest."

"Absolutely no manners at all. No wonder the Sand Village has been declining day by day."

"......Well, they are shinobi."

"Konoha would never pull this type of dishonorable nonsense, though."

"Does the Sand even understand what they are doing right now?! The people sitting here all have status! Whether it's direct ties to the Daimyo's court, or just having enough raw money to throw at bounty hunters!"

".......Well, to be fair, they are actively avoiding our section."

"Bullshit! How much can you actually 'avoid' in the middle of a war?! Anyway, I can already see quite a few dead and injured down there."

One noble spoke , keeping his head down while analyzing the battlefield. Another chimed in quickly.

"Well, that's right........ Even those muscle-headed brutes from Kumo wouldn't pull something this politically stupid."

Seeing all these high-society people crouching in the dirt but still analyzing the political ramifications quite calmly, Naruto was surprised once again.

( *Hoh*........ Civilian or not, they didn't get this much status and wealth without having some real experience.)

Naruto thought so , but soon he felt relived ,while he did let Honekawa become his representative , he also put some demands at that time too , one of which were that he doidn't want any partners with bad reputation or 'similar' stupid nobilitu mentality or Typical rich arrogance .

And looking at them , It seems , Honekawa seems to have succesded quite a bit .

Seeing that all the guards were finally starting to wake up, Naruto's shadow clone decided to lay it out.

"Alright, I have woken all of your guards up. You guys need to retreat and evacuate right now. I still need to get back to my main body's side."

Hearing this, every single VIP froze stiff. They looked at Naruto—vividly remembering his terrifying combat prowess from his earlier match—and then looked down at their own guards, who had just slept through a mass genjutsu and were currently as useful as fish on a chopping block.

The nobles exchanged quick, panicked glances before their eyes unanimously zeroed in on Honekawa. Honekawa immediately understood their silent plea, mostly because he was feeling the exact same panic.

"Naruto-kun," Honekawa spoke up, sweating heavily.

"Yes?"

"Can you... please escort us to safety?"

Hearing this, the clone's eyes 'widened' in feigned surprise. He looked across the group and replied hesitantly.

".......Honekawa-san, everyone. You may have misunderstood, but I am just a shadow clone."

"A clone?!"

"My main body is currently downstairs on the arena floor, confronting the enemies."

Hearing this, every single neck in the group violently snapped toward the arena. They peeked over the edge of the seats and, sure enough, saw the real Naruto actively confronting some kind of massive, terrifying sand monster alongside a few other Konoha shinobi.

Seeing that sheer scale of violence, the nobles paled dramatically. However, one older-looking man quickly adjusted his priorities and spoke up.

"Naruto-san."

"Yes?"

"Clone or not, you have already proven your incredible combat prowess today. We still sincerely hope that you can personally escort us to safety."

"....But I am literally just a Genin," the clone pointed out.

"As I said before, you have already proven your prowess. Your sheer presence makes us feel much more secure than our own guards do."

The guards surrounding the VIPs wisely kept their mouths shut. Working as henchmen for these types of ruthless authority figures had taught them that interrupting the boss mid-speech was a great way to lose your job—or your head.

"Naruto-kun," Honekawa added, wiping his brow. Despite effectively being Suneo's father in terms of Connections and wealth, he held absolutely no sway over Naruto's tactical decisions right now, and he knew it.

At this point, a middle-aged merchant jumped in.

"Clones or not, we would still highly prefer you to escort us.... Of course, we won't ask you to do it for free."

The middle-aged man looked around at his companions, who immediately took the hint and started throwing out offers.

"Yeah! We will formally reward you with an S-rank mission commission payout!"

"I will personally invest heavily in your new company, too!"

"Well, I already came here specifically for that reason, but I can easily invest much more capital for a smaller percentage of shares!"

The shadow clone looked at these desperate authority figures and sighed internally. After pretending to consider it for a moment, he spoke.

"Let me quickly contact the main body. He will decide what to do."

"This... alright."

The shadow clone closed his eyes for a tense moment. After a short while, he opened them and shared what he had 'communicated' with the real Naruto.

"The main body says, 'Let's forget about the money.'"

"Ehh?! But—"

The clone raised his hand in a firm stop gesture, cutting off the panicked Officials , Millionares or such

"My clones and I will personally escort you all to the designated safe zone to the best of our abilities. Let's just consider this a gesture of goodwill for our new business partners."

The nobles and merchants instantly let out collective sighs of relief. It wasn't just them out here today; their wives, children, and extended families were also present. Seeing Naruto extend this kind of selfless, protective gesture instantly made them all incredibly happy and deeply grateful.

A few people's eyes shifted shiftily, clearly calculating the political favors they could leverage from this later, but the current life-or-death circumstances didn't allow them to voice those opinions.

The shadow clone looked back at the other five clones, nodded slightly, and took charge.

"Everyone, please gather around. Keep the civilians strictly in the middle, place your Chunin at the back, put the Genin and samurai on the outer flanks, and we clones will take the frontline."

It was right at this moment that a shifty-eyed noble spoke up.

"Naruto-kun?"

"Yes??"

"....There are still quite a few of our friends and acquaintances sitting nearby who are still asleep. Should we maybe.... help them, too?"

Naruto's clone stared at the man, feeling deeply amused inside.

(.....Is this guy seriously trying to curry favor and network in the middle of a warzone?!)

Despite his internal amusement, the clone replied with cold indifference.

"The more people we add to our group, the more attention we will gather."

"..."

"And considering everything else, the overall speed of our group would drastically slow down too "

"....."

"A bigger crowd makes for a bigger target.............. And I shall remind you all once again that we are only clones. The more people we try to protect, the thinner our protection gets stretched."

"....."

".....If you guys still really want to go grab someone, then you are welcome to try. But we are moving out in exactly three minutes." The clone finished speaking and firmly shut his mouth, turning his gaze back to scan the stadium.

Hearing the brutal logic, not just the shifty-eyed man, but everyone else instantly woke up from their 'Profiteering' mentality. Quite a few of them had actually wanted to wake up their wealthy peers, purely so those peers would owe them favors while relying entirely on Naruto's protection. They had wanted all the credit with zero risk.

(Ah, basically the exact same strategy I'm using right now,) the shadow clone thought wryly, though he didn't say it out loud. He just silently watched as the entire group clamped their mouths shut, completely abandoning any thought of saving anyone else if it compromised their own safety.

(....As expected. In the end, only 'I' matt---------- EH?)

Suddenly, an older-looking, dignified gentleman quickly moved across the seating area, approaching another sleeping old man in a different section. He glanced aside, and the clone watched as one of the man's Chunin guards immediately followed him.

Under the old man's sharp gaze, the Chunin expertly dispelled the genjutsu. The two old men then quietly exchanged a few words.

(.......To think there are actually still decent people like that in this crowd,) the clone noted with genuine surprise.

But it was still not over as some others also moved

( .......hmm , only 4 people moved ......the shifty eyed man didn't though )

Exactly three minutes later, Naruto's clones formed up around the VIPs. They seamlessly navigated through the stadium walls and headed straight toward the primary Konoha civilian shelter—a highly fortified location everyone was well aware of, especially after the trauma of the Nine-Tails incident years ago.

While en route, the shadow clones utilized the visual feeds from their Raven and Owl summons to perfectly navigate the chaotic combat zones. But instead of entirely avoiding the fighting, they actively participated in a series of highly calculated, very 'difficult' skirmishes, 'protecting' the nobles, merchants, and their families 'over' and 'over' again.

And all these People watched as How Uzumaki naruto protected them , Naruto prowess while despite being clones .

Somehow, the clones only ever ended up clashing with enemies of roughly similar strength, yet they still managed to make every single fight look like an incredibly desperate, hard-fought battle for survival.

Because of this 'difficulty,' quite a few of the nobles' samurai, Genin, and even one Chunin guard ended up dying along the way. Yet, miraculously, every single VIP that Naruto was 'protecting' survived with minor Bruises or similar but still safely arriving at the heavily fortified shelter base.

"Then we are off."

Seeing Elder Koharu and Shizune waiting securely at the shelter gates, Naruto's shadow clones gave a respectful nod to the VIPs, formed a hand sign, and simultaneously dispersed into puffs of smoke.

As the clones vanished, the sheer adrenaline left the group. Dozens of nobles' knees buckled as they finally stumbled into the safety of the shelter, every single one of them feeling incredibly, deeply grateful to Uzumaki Naruto.

"Thank God Naruto-kun was there..... otherwise we would have..."

" this ain't over , Sand needs to answer "

" ...Ahh , I am just gonna up some prices at Sand though "

" Can you do that all alone "

" Heh It's just not us , quite a few are disgruntled , just watch the show "

" Poor sand , their Main food supplier is actually us from Konoha but they still mess around like that "

"Yeah............ Oy, Seto," the older, dignified gentleman suddenly addressed his surviving Chunin guard.

"Yes, Oda-sama."

"That kid definitely isn't a normal Genin. Just how strong is he exactly??"

"......Those clones consistently displayed solid Chunin-level combat prowess , stronger than me ........ So, if we extrapolate, his main body should easily be at the Jonin level, I would guess."

"Hooo........ Honekawa-san." The old man, Oda, turned to look at the Uzumaki Enterprise representative, who was functionally the closest person to Naruto in the room.

"Yes, Oda-sama," Honekawa replied instantly, maintaining respect for this massive, untouchable giant of the merchant world.

"Exactly how old is Naruto-kun?"

"He just turned twelve this year. He only graduated from the Shinobi Academy a few months ago."

",.....It seems we must re-evaluate our view of this young man."

" Hmm , Business or not , having a connection with this kind of Powerful shinobi is Only a gain "

" He seems loyal and honourable too "

At that moment, the other old man spoke up. It was the exact same person Oda had gone out of his way to rescue back in the stadium.

"Oda. Thanks to you for pulling me out this time."

"Don't mention it.......... After all, all the heavy lifting was done by Naruto Boy today."

"Regardless, whether it's you or the Uzumaki kid....... I will remember this debt."

"YEAH, you better."

" *Scoff* "

Konoha Stadium:

The battles were already in full swing, especially after Ino kicked things off with a massive explosion that instantly claimed the lives of seven enemy shinobi.

Because the blast hit dead center, the surviving enemies scattered in panic instead of sticking together in formation. The Konoha Genin weren't about to let that kind of opening go to waste. They immediately fanned out, locking onto their respective opponents.

Karin, Sakura, and two of Naruto's shadow clones rushed straight to Sasuke. Karin winced at the heavy bruising covering his body, but her eyes immediately locked onto those creepy black seals creeping across his skin.

( The heck is this ??? I have no idea to heal somethig like this ...1!! )

Pushing her concerns aside for a second, she remembered Naruto's last-minute instructions, took a deep breath, and wove a sign.

[ Shadow Clone Jutsu ]

Three of Karin's clones popped into existence, positioning themselves in a tight triangle around Sasuke, Sakura, and her original body. Being an Uzumaki, Karin's chakra reserves were second only to Naruto's in their generation—easily two or three times higher than an average Jonin.

"LOOK AT SASUKE FIRST! Why are you wasting time with shadow clones?!" Sakura yelled.

Ignoring her, Karin's clones slammed their hands onto the ground. Over the past year, she had picked up some basic medical and sealing techniques; while they weren't overly powerful, her massive chakra pool made them incredibly effective right now.

[Triple Pillar Barrier Technique ]

(This barrier........ it's just like Naruto's,) Sakura thought, her eyes widening as she remembered the Wave mission.

Sakura looked down at Karin's real body, who was already kneeling by Sasuke, her hands glowing with healing chakra. Feeling completely useless, Sakura knelt beside him, silently waiting and watching.

( ........If only I could do something for Sasuke-kun too.)

"Don't underestimate me!" Temari cursed aloud, completely fed up.

Fighting Shizuka and Shikamaru was a nightmare. Shizuka's Fire Release was already a massive problem aginst her wind release , and Temari realized within just two minutes that winning this was going to be tough.

Very Very tough.

And then there was that lazy, troublesome bastard who had beaten her earlier in the Match . With that same bored expression, he kept sending shuriken or shadows snapping at her heels at the absolute worst possible moments.

The duo was cooperating seamlessly: the kunoichi handled the intense short and medium-range clashes, while the Nara provided perfectly timed, ridiculous support.

Frustrated, Temari summoned her wind weasel and swung her fan with everything she had.

[Wind Release: Great Sickle Weasel Technique!]

A massive, continuous barrage of compressed vacuum pockets tore across the field. Shikamaru didn't even flinch or try to dodge. He just calculated his next move, knowing Shizuka had been preparing for this exact counter ever since the weasel appeared.

[Fire Release: Fire Bullets!]

BOOM!

(I really should have learned a second chakra nature,) Temari thought, backing away with her fan raised for another sweep , to keep distance from shadows and the Fiery Kunoichi whose Fore release are countering her jutsu again & again

( At this rate I will lose my chakra first ...I must ----)

But before she could swing her fan again

[Shadow Possession Jutsu!] Success.

Temari's blood ran cold as her body locked up entirely. It was that familiar, dreadful jutsu with the same frustrating result.

(......How?!)

What Temari didn't realize was that fire jutsu produce light. As long as you planned it right, you could use that sudden flash to drastically stretch your shadow.

This wasn't some magical teamwork—Shikamaru had simply calculated that Temari would use Wind and Shizuka would counter with Fire, just like the previous clashes. He used the flash from the blast to stretch his shadow through the smoke, predicting exactly where Temari would land.

(...I wanna nap...... My head hurts,) Shikamaru sighed, standing up and keeping a lazy eye on the battlefield.

Shizuka walked over. "Should we kill her?"

Shikamaru's eye twitched at the violent woman's bluntness. ".....Nah."

"...??? Why?"

"I collected intel on her. She and that puppeteer are both the Kazekage's kids."

"So we let her live just because of that???"

Shikamaru met Shizuka's indifferent gaze, then looked at a pale Temari. "She is way more valuable alive. The Kazekage will definitely care about his children, so we're taking her hostage."

"......OK."

Using her medical expertise, Shizuka cleanly dislocated Temari's joints so she couldn't move, then turned away. "I'll see if anyone else needs help. You make sure to watch her."

Deciding against getting in Naruto's way, Shizuka headed off somewhereelse while keeping an eye around .

(I'd just get in Naruto's way. Better to back up Hinata,) shizuka reasoned and moved cautiously .

Shikamaru sighed, pulling a capture rope from his pouch and walking toward a completely terrified Temari, who was slumped on the ground ,

" Stay away you perveted BAstard " Temari growled as she shouted at shikamaru .

(.....I'm really not into BDSM, though,) Shikamaru grumbled internally and then got to work .

-------------------------------------------

(Damn it, damn it, damn it!)

Kankuro cursed everything as he fought Hana and Shino. But mostly, he was cursing Hana and her three massive hounds, who were aggressively pressing his puppet on the front lines while that bug bastard messed around in the distance.

(Just what's up with this Inuzuka having three hounds?! ........And why does she have to be a medical-nin curing them of my poison?! F*CK MY LIFE!)*

Even if Kankuro managed to pull off a tricky maneuver and poison one of the dogs, it would just retreat, get healed by its master, and tag back in while the other two dogs and Shino kept the pressure up.

Sweating bullets, Kankuro dodged a shuriken, only to suddenly find himself surrounded by all three dogs. One clashed with his puppet, another bit his hand, and the third locked its jaws onto his leg.

"GAAAHHHH! I HATE DOGS!"

He tried to use his chakra threads to pull his puppet free and resist, or to use his ahnd to Ninja tool pouch , only to freeze.

(.......Eh... where did my chakra go??)

The answer came as a swarm of dense bugs crawled out from beneath his black suit. Before he could react, Shino materialized right behind him and delivered a sharp karate chop to the back of his neck.

".........It's done."

Hana nodded as her hounds trotted back to her side. Looking down at the unconscious Kankuro, she frowned. "....We shouldn't have waited this long. Your sneakiness, my hounds, and a few smoke bombs would have been enough from the start."

Shino adjusted his glasses calmly. "We should always take precautions....... And he is a valuable hostage, too."

"...Fine. You tie him up. I'll go see if anyone needs medical assistance."

As Hana bounded off, Shino pulled a rope from his pouch and stared down at Kankuro.

(............Finally, a living practice target,) Shino murmured, a strangely intense glint reflecting off his sunglasses.

With those fights wrapped up, the rest of the battlefield was moving at breakneck speed.

Kiba and Akamaru were tearing through the field like a literal tornado. Using constant Fang Over Fang attacks, they targeted the weaker Genin, rapidly thinning the enemy numbers.

Lee was also going all out. Keeping the severe backlash of the Eight Gates in mind, he only opened the First Gate, but his raw speed was still way too much for average Genin to handle. The opposition was dropping like flies under their joint assault.

But the busiest group by far was Hinata, Tenten, and Yugao.

Hinata was playing the ultimate radar. She had to constantly track every single movement on the field, physically intercept immediate threats herself, and rapidly bark out coordinates for Tenten and Yugao to strike. The gentle girl was already incredibly pale just a few minutes in—these Byakugan eyes were witnessing a lot of brutal injuries and death—but she refused to stop.

(Keep fighting, Hinata. Today, you absolutely cannot fail......... No matter what, grit your teeth and push through, otherwise you will regret it!)

Deflecting an explosive-tagged kunai with her Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven, she rapidly shot out reinforcement orders, pushing through the chaos purely on guts.

This didn't go unnoticed. Up in the stands, Hiashi Hyuga was fighting off enemies while tracking her with his own Byakugan.

(She really is strong, both mentally and physically.......... Alas, she is quite stubborn, too,) the clan head thought.

Nearby, Hanabi watched in sheer awe while being protected by Elders and Branch Guards , who were waytching the same .

(...Nee-sama is so strong....... but why didn't she ever move like that during our spars?) the innocent girl wondered cluelessly.

Suddenly, the pressure on Hinata lessened as Hana and Shizuka jumped into her defensive pocket. Hinata smiled in relief but immediately kept the orders flowing.

"Hana-san, Shizuka-san! Please intercept that puppeteer trying to block Lee san!"

"Alright!"

"Yugao-nee, Ino! Please focus on the Sound ninja targeting Kiba's blind spot!"

"I'll use my Mind Transfer Jutsu! Time your strike with me, Yugao-san!" Ino called out.

"....Mm," Yugao nodded, vanishing.

The enemy numbers were plummeting fast, a fact that didn't escape the notice of the Jonin. Baki watched in absolute shock as his 'elite' Sand and Sound Genin were systematically dismantled piece by piece. He couldn't comprehend how the tide had turned so violently.

The Hyuga girl's coordination was just that efficient and sneaky paired with Ino and others .

(.......Is Konoha's younger generation really this terrifying? Even with a massive numbers advantage, our forces are almost entirely wiped out, and they haven't suffered a single casualty!)

Baki's eyes darted across the field. He saw Temari dumped on the ground like a sack of potatoes near the Hyuga girl by the Nara kid. He saw Kankuro hogtied by the Aburame in a way that would definitely raise questions.

Seeing the Kazekage's children captured and his entire squad collapsing made Baki's chest tighten withpanic.

That split-second distraction was a fatal mistake.

Because , He was fighting Hatake Kakashi.

Kakash seized the opening instantly. White Fang slashed cleanly from top to bottom.

*SPLURT!*

"GAHHHHH!"

Baki staggered backward, clutching his bleeding chest where his flak jacket had been torn diagonally open. Gritting his teeth, he tried to figure out a way to salvage this disaster, but when he looked back up at Kakashi, his heart dropped. Two more people had joined the Copy Ninja.

(Oh Kami...... It seems this is as far as I go..!!)

"Yo, Kakashi! It seems I defeated my enemy first! Hahaha, as expected of the Blue Beast of Konoha!" Guy cheered.

"Let's just get this over with," Genma sighed, casually rolling dozens of senbon between his fingers.

Seeing them by his side, Kakashi nodded, raising his white blade to deliver the finishing blow.

GROWLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Suddenly, a terrifying, monstrous roar violently shook the entire stadium, the sheer volume echoing out into the village. Without warning, every single shinobi in the arena was plunged into a massive, oppressive shadow.

Kakashi felt the chilling chakra. He slowly raised his head, staring up at the towering giant that had just erupted in the dead center of the stadium.

*ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!*
