Chapter 240 – Some Shopping - 2

I knew that even though I purchased the advanced version of Haki for them, they could not utilize it at the full capacity in one day. So the best case was to make sure they get the basic version for now.

I thought just like me, it would be 10k lust energy points, but it seems I was wrong.

I sat quietly inside the speeding carriage while staring at the glowing system screen in front of me.

The cost of awakening for my crew was 10 times more than the cost for me.

"System! Tell me why it cost me this much! Are you trying to rip me off?"

[Ding! The awakening of haki for the host is low because the system is connected to the soul. For the other user, it takes a lot of energy]

The system gave me some lame-ass excuse. I wanted to argue with it, but I knew it was useless, so I just focused on the shop.

'I should give them all three types of Haki — Observation, Armament, and Conqueror's. Along with top-tier swordsmanship skills for Kuina. That way, they can stand beside me properly in the fight against Blackbeard.'

I was ready to spend a massive amount of lust energy points. After all, I currently had over 7.5 million points. I wasn't poor anymore. I could afford to strengthen them significantly.

I was even considering buying Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits for all the girls to dramatically increase their combat power.

But just as I was about to finalize my selections, the system suddenly issued a cold warning:

[Warning: Conqueror's Haki cannot be forcibly awakened in individuals without innate talent. Only Lily, Kuina, Vivi and Ann possess the required potential for Conqueror's Haki.]

I frowned. I had assumed that by spending enough points, I could grant it to everyone. But the system continued:

[The Host is a special case. For other individuals, the system can only strengthen and awaken existing talents. It cannot create new ones from nothing. Forcing Conqueror's Haki on those without potential would be extremely difficult to utilize and could cause severe backlash.]

Another message appeared right after:

[Only the Host and Kuina can fully master Advanced Swordsmanship Skills at the highest level.]

I leaned back against the seat. This time I was feeling a wave of disappointment wash over me.

So I couldn't just spend lust energy points and turn all my girls into absolute top-tier powerhouses with all having advanced haki, swordsmanship, martial arts, and devil's fruit awakening.

There were clear limits. Some things simply couldn't be bought — talent, potential, and destiny still mattered in this world.

I let out a long sigh and rubbed my forehead.

'This isn't a simple game where I can buy power for everyone…'

Still, I refused to give up. Even with these restrictions, I could still make them much stronger than they currently were. I began adjusting my plans accordingly.

I then purchased all three types of Haki for Kuina, Lily, and Vivi.

Ann already possessed both Observation Haki and Armament Haki, so I only bought Conqueror's Haki for her. Although she had already awakened the potential for Conqueror's Haki, she still didn't know how to use it properly.

As for the rest of the girls, I made sure that each of them received both Observation Haki and Armament Haki as well.

Finally, I purchased Advanced Swordsmanship for Kuina. As a swordswoman, it was an investment that would greatly increase her combat potential.

Just like that, I spent 2.5 million Lust Energy Points on Haki and swordsmanship alone. Combined with my previous purchases, the total cost of this shopping spree had already exceeded 4 million Lust Energy Points.

Even for me, that was an enormous amount to spend in a single shopping session.

The total cost was quite high, but I didn't hesitate. Their safety and strength were far more important than saving lust energy points.

A few hours later, the carriage slowed down and came to a stop. The royal guards informed us that the horses needed rest and the group required food and water. We had reached a relatively safe oasis along the desert route.

We set up a temporary camp and had a proper meal. Everyone ate quietly.

Once the meal was finished and the guards moved a respectful distance away, I gathered the girls together.

"I have something important for all of you," I said seriously.

I took out the various pills and the haki cards from my inventory and began distributing them.

Robin, Ann, and Vivi looked visibly shocked as I handed them the glowing cards and pills. Their eyes widened at the strange, powerful aura coming from the items.

Nami, Kuina, and Kaya, on the other hand, accepted them calmly. They had already experienced me taking various items before, so they simply nodded without much reaction.

Lily looked at the cards and pills without any care, like a carefree pirate. "Magic stuff again, huh? It seems that we're going to get stronger, Shishishi…"

Finally, after taking out all the items that I had purchased, I began to explain them one by one.
